Great pair of boots. They felt tight at first but after loosening the laces and stretching lower tongue, it opened up for the front of the foot with more flexibility. Traction and grip are also great but not overdone and chunky. The materials, stitching, and overall build quality are great on this boot - exactly what you'd expect from a Salomon, and the pictures really don't do the aesthetics of the boot justice. It's awesome footwear.

Solid boot - perfect performance through last Chicago winter (record cold). Wore daily on commute to work through slush, snow, cold and feet always felt great. Great boot for weekend walks on snowy trails and sidewalks.

My husband just got these as work boots. They are so light weight and comfortable that he has been wearing them non-stop and will be taking them for waking/hiking on vacation. They aren’t bulky like some other work/hiking boots. The only bad issue is that they came with a sticker tag that is stuck around the laces and almost impossible to remove without damaging the lace. We did our best but there was white sticker goo left on the lace that I had to touch up with a sharpie- wish they came with an extra set of laces.

First time buying Salomon boots and I love them! They are extremely comfortable, barely any break in time. I will say they run true to size, great arch support and run a bit wide. I would buy these again!

My situation. I had some 10 yera old merrell shoes that were more summer/hiking. They decided to fall apart on me during a fall rainy hike soaking my feet in the process. Determined not to have that happen again and it being late winter/spring season i decided to get a pair of winter/spring boots that were waterproof and I could take on urban hikes in these seasons. Built Comfort Quality The boot is super light weight, it looks slick and has great grip and is very comfortable. This boot IS insulated which means it will be quite warm on your foot at least to a degree, I wore these to work to break them in (office dress code is casual), my feet are quite toasty. That being said they are only rated down to 0f so I wouldn't use them for extreme cold weather. Side notes There was the sticker some complained about, i'm unsure if perhaps their boots sat in the heat/cold for too long or what but my experience with these stickers. They're gloss on the face and sticky on the back, they are wrapped around the boot lace and stuck to itself. In my excitement to have new boots i reached down and ripped it off to the side, leaving the bottom part still connected. which was tricky to get off but wasn't the end of the world for me. The second pair being aware of this, i took the sticker and "slid" it sideways along the shoe lace before trying to pry the two sticky bits apart. I feel like this approach helped to "un-stick" or de-bind the glue agent from the shoe lace. i was able to remove without any issues with this approach on the second shoe. Can't answer these ones until i've worn them some more. I will come back and revise my review after wearing this for the next month or so as to its waterproof effectiveness from my urban trip as i am unsure of how waterproof the actual tounge on the boot is. Also another poster mentioned they don't breathe, i haven't had them long enough to speak to that but will revise as well.

Happier than expected with these boots. They are comfortable, warm and light as a feather. They’ve also kept my feet bone dry after a few work shifts in the snow. Two thumbs way up.

My size is either 9.5 or 10 depending on the shoe style. I got a size 10 here and they fit perfectly. Enough room for thick winter socks, but fine with regular socks. They feel warm as soon as you put them on, like a winter boot should. Arch support is surprisingly good. I like the style. It looks like a sneaker that I can wear nearly anywhere. I could do without all the extra text on the shoe (climatherm, contagrip, softshell). It's not a race car :)

Sent these to my grown son who lives in MN. Said they felt great right out of the box. Cozy and warm. Thought they would be great for wearing until he gets to work and for casual. As a family we really are partial to the brand.

My 17yo has wide, hard-to-please feet. Got this to replace another Salomon. He loves this shoe. Says it’s an update and an upgrade. It’s comfy, light, and really nice looking. Happy with my purchase.

Based on the size info given above, I just worked via phone with ELSA in Las Vegas to exchange the size 9s for 9.5s. Elsa was exceptionally cordial, personable, and helpful. One of the best on-line purchase/exchange experiences I can recall. Do whatever you need to do to keep Elsa in your employ!!

These are warm and soft, but just not comfortable for me. The arch is quite high and though I normally like a good arch, I feel that this one pushes my foot out to the outside edge, into a position of supination. It also just doesn't feel supportive enough to me. The removable insole that it comes with is pretty useless. But even replacing it with a nice Spenco insole of my own didn't make it work for me. I was disappointed to have to send them back, because they're nice-looking shoes with good soles that would definitely serve the function of being useful when it's cold and slippery out, during times that big winter boots would be overkill.

I bought these to use as a workbook for working in 20degF weather and felt these would work based on the description of being good to -1degF. However, the tag on the boot itself indicates it is intended for 29degF and warmer with limited exposure to 19.8degF. The arch support felt to me that it would not be sufficient for a days work, as well. So, I returned them. They seemed light, but well made with an exception. On both boots, there was a slight crimp in the instep where the upper met the sole; strangely it was only annoying on one foot. Thicker socks might have helped with this, but feel it shouldn’t have been there at all for the price. Not the right boots for me - still looking.

My favorite snow boots. Very warm, dry feet after shoveling snow. Great construction.

I have been a Salomon customer for years. I've always enjoyed the comfort and quality of their footwear. These boots I believe are my favorites for cold-weather wear and comfort. I also own Speed Assualt, Speed Assualt 2, and Quest 4D.
