I've ran in these shoes once so far and walked in them a little bit. They are so comfortable and have tons of padding. They are very squishy. I feel like I'm walking on clouds in them. They felt true to size. I usually order 1/2 size larger in running shoes so I ordered an 8 which I'm normally a 7.5. Worked out perfectly. The colors are very bright and overall the shoe is pleasing to the eye. I'm very happy with my purchase so far.

The lab that makes my orthotics recommended this shoe to me. I did have to send the shoe back to get a half size bigger. Of course Zapppos was wonderful about that and I had my new size on my doorstep the very next day! This shoe was comfortable from day one! My orthotics fit perfectly in them and I absolutely love them! Even more, I absolutely LOVE Zappos! The best customer service on the planet!!!!!

Well worth the money. Took them right out of the box and walked 4 miles. Love them!

I am not a runner nor particularly heavy but these shoes are comfortable! They definitely have an extra layer of shock absorbing material in the soles than other comparably priced Asics. They are sort of "squishy" and that is what I like the most about them. They have a fairly high arch. I have fairly wide feet and the B width were wide enough.

I ordered these for running and while at first they hurt my feet, they feel great now, a lot of padding. I ordered a size 8 when I normally wear a size 7.5 because reviews said they run a little small. They fit ok, I do think that the 7.5 would be too small but the 8 is a little big. Overall I am happy with my purchase!

I wore Asics Contend for 3 years but needed something with more support! These are amazing! I have a wide forefoot and neutral heel and the wide are a perfect fit. After trying other brands, I've realized that Asics are made for my feet!

I tired these after some research. I have very wide feet and also walk on the outsides of my feet. I always have an issue with long term comfort. These were soft, cushy, and supportive right from the box. I am now used to paying a pretty penny for quality shoes these days... but... after paying $110.00 regular price (was not listed as on sale or gave any indication that this was not the regular price) for these and then coming back 1 week later and the same exact shoes is now $199.95 regular price and on sale for 139.99. That seems fishy to me. So as much as I want another pair I refuse to pay more for the same because Zappos decided to raise their regular price and put it on "sale".

I have worn the Nimbus 17 for a few years now because the toebox on the Nimbus 18 was too small and I didn't want to spend the money to try the Nimbus 19. I settled on this shoe. Toebox is taller than the Nimbus. 7.5 W is perfect for my 7 Wide feet. My orthodic fits well inside and doesn't make shoe too big or too small.

I have been wearing the Brooks Dyad in a 9D for the last few years with my orthotics. Brooks recently came out with a new version and their width sizing is now off, I chose this Asics as my replacement and it actually fits great! They are comfortable, the width is a true D, fits my orthotics and still has a deep enough heel cup. Hope this version wasn't on its way out as I would love another color. It's so hard to find cute sneakers that are wide and accommodate orthotics.

Love these running shoes. I haven't run in a long time and needed to get a new pair to get back in shape. I tried the Gel Cumulus and GT-2000 but they were too narrow around my toes. My feet are a little bit wider than normal but not wide enough to warrant a wide width. I've run three times on the treadmill with them. 2-3 miles each time. They are well cushioned, didn't get blisters and comfortable. I wish that they would have less flashy colors and bright obnoxious color ways, but I'm buying for comfort not for looks. Why can't Asics make all one color shoes like Nike?

I ordered several different shoes from Zappos, and decided on these because they had excellent arch support and were cute with my scrubs. I am on my feet all day at work and these shoes are awesome! I normally wear a 7 but ended up getting a 7½ in these shoes. I found they ran a tad small.

Exceptional stability and cushion. The arch support is good or moderate. I buy Asics because they are the only shoe I have found with a wide enough spread for the ball of my foot in a medium width.

Plush is definitely the way to describe these shoes. They felt like slippers when I put them on. The insole is cushy and decadently comfy. They weren't as trim as the other Asics I have purchased, and I missed that. I wear a 9 1/2 wide and if a shoe looks trim on my dogs it's always a plus. However, I returned them because I wear orthotics, which means you have to remove the insole and put in your personal insert. When I did that I removed all that comfort, and the shoe felt sloppy and boxy, like a big ol' walking shoe instead of a nice runner. Asics are still my favorite brand, but these don't work for me. And if you also wear orthotics, be for-warned that when you put them in the shoe you are removing the assets this shoe is known for.

They fit my feet so well! I wear a 10.5 wide width, so hard to find unless I buy men's. But I love Asics because they grip my heel better than other running shoe brands. I needed to find a shoe with a more neutral heel than my Asics GT3000s. That shoe put me in too much supination. I also saw on the Asic's website that this Gel Fortitude is for the heavier runner which I proudly am! Been a runner x 35 years and not as slight as I used to be. The only negative is that the shoe offers a much firmer ride than I typically like, not a lot of cushiony feel going from heel strike to push-off. Feels like I'm slapping my feet as I run Anyway, I like them for now, will continue my quest for the perfect Asics shoe. It's probably out there!

I purchased these a size larger as my toes tend to hit the fronts of my shoes when I run, however, going a HALF SIZE up would've been much better for me. I "lock" the laces which eliminate the heel blister I got on my first run due to ankle/heel slipping. The shoe is very comfortable, but I don't feel it does much in the way of stability? They are very cushiony and with a good-sized toe box, there is plenty of room for my foot, and overall the shoe is very light-weight. The style/color palette they used is much nicer on this shoe than any of the other Asics styles. They tend to be too flashy or in gross color schemes. I would definitely buy Asics again and would most likely try this shoe again.

These are great! Fit really nice, wider toe box, with great arch support. Usually wear a size 8.5 in athletic but need a 9 in these.

Very comfortable, very cushiony, though I feel that they don't stabilize as well as I hoped they would. I ordered up a size because my toes jam up at the fronts when I wear my regular size for running or long periods of time. Next time, I will only order 1/2 size up, as these ended up being slightly too big. I like the darker colors as they draw a little less attention to my big feet! These are also very light-weight. I would repurchase this style again.

I read all previous reviews so I ordered a half size up and it fit in length but very wide in toe box. It did seem to have a comfortable insole. Unfortunately I will be returning it.

I don't know what happened to Asics. They were always my go to sneaker as far as comfort and size Sad to say these were neither comfortable nor did they fit properly

I don't know what asics has done, but the fortitude is not made like it use to be. Much wider toe box, these looked like platform shoes.
