Customer Reviews New Balance MW813 Hook and Loop

Bought this walking shoe for my 81 year old husband who was walking over an hour each morning in puma shoes with no cushion because he liked their style. Well my husband has these New Balance walkers on all the time now! A little less stylish but I guess the comfort is worth it. I like the fact that the Velcro straps are made to be trimmed. Now he doesn't have a lot hanging off the side of the shoe. Also love that these are made in wide widths!

Nice support, wide shoe box. Easy on and off. This is used as a work shoe and is comfortable on hard floors walking and standing.

I have purchased several of this model shoe over the years because I have wide feet. This pair, however, fits differently than previous ones. Considerably wider.

I ordered these shoes for my father who is 78 and stiff with arthritis which makes bending over to tie his shoes a little difficult. He is able to slip these on easily and secure them with little effort. He has very wide feet (Quad D), he says these are perfect. Not all that stylish, but they look fine with his jeans and actually not too bad with a pair of black Dockers.

These have been my everyday shoes for years. Since I retired I usually walk between 8,000 and 10,000 steps a day, much of it in a nearby park, up hills and over forest trails (which need some repair in patches). These shoes have been ideal for those walks, quite comfortable and reliable. I can't say that I care much about "style". When I began experiencing arthritis is a couple of fingers I switched to the strap closures, which have worked well for me (and have proven to be an advantage when I need to get my shoes on in a rush)

I bought these shoes for my dad, as he has VERY wide feet and swelling in his legs and ankles. They fit! Added bonus is the Velcro straps - easy to get off and on. Very cute and stylish. Would buy again!!

My disabled son has worn new balance shoes in this past. This particular pair seems especially large for the standard size that he wears. The Velcro straps need to be pulled to the maximum. The leather over the toe box is bunched. I would have returned them for a smaller size if he hadn't already worn them.

I bought these shoes for my father. He needs hook and loop sneakers rather than laces, and it's very difficult to find shoes in size 4E so we were glad to find these. They fit well and help him get through a day at work. Not stylish at all, but he can wear them to work or to go out since they are black.

These shoes fit perfectly. I am in my 3rd month recovering from a complete rupture of my right Achiles. These shoes feel both comfortable and offer good stability. Thanks Zappos for another good experience.

This is the third pair of these I ordered for my husband and will so again. The fit is excellent and he enjoys wearing them. He has one pair for work, another for yard work and a pair he uses for vacations, going out etc. It is so hard to find sneakers with the velcro fasteners and you offer many styles. Mt husband deals with some memory problems so regular shoe laces are a problem. Thank you for continuing to carry these as there is a demand out here.

Shoe fit great no problems

I've been told by others how comfortable and supportive New Balance sneakers were, but until I purchased this pair, I didn't realize how right they were. Excellent fit, quality and great price/availability and ease of shopping from Zappos. The next day shipping is awesome. This is my second pair of the NB MW813 hook & loop shoes. The first pair I bought was white.

Recently bought these for my elderly father who has Arthritis, diabetes and swollen feet. These were perfect for him. He was able to slid into them and just pull the velcro snug on his feet. No fumbling with laces. He said they were very comfortable and was surprised that they fit so good. He was very pleased with these. He will also be able to wear these to dressier functions because they are black. These are a great walking shoe. True to size. So nice that Zappos carries so many different sizes and widths. Love the return policy!

The shoes are easy to put on and secure quickly to hold my feet comfortably snug. The wide base makes walking stable. Turning while walking maintains equilibrium with the wide base. The shoes feel good.

Really nice fit, important for someone needing extra-wide shoes. Well-made, they stand up well to a lot of use. The hook and loop straps really hold in place. I like these shoes a lot and will be buying another pair.
