These are the best shoes ever! I have been wearing Asics for many years due to podiatrist's recommendation. I was wearing 1000 and 2000 models and felt they had become ridiculously expensive and wore out quickly. Gel-Ventures are stiff with great heel support, adequate cushioning, and roomy toebox and reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

If I measure my foot on one of those foot measuring devices at a shoe store, I am truly a size 7.5 and width between D and E. But I always have to order at least a size 8 to account for socks, even in athletic shoes. I purchased these to replace a pair of trail shoes from The North Face in a size 8 (not wide). Somehow, even with extremely wide (or short, depending on how you look at it) feet, those fit me for years. But these were too tight in the left foot at a size 8 wide, so I had to exchange for size 8.5 wide. The new size is great. It's a little snug, but great because I know that will change with a bit of wear. I can see why these shoes are a little less expensive than other pairs. It's not that they're cheap, it's just that they're not quite as fancy as other pairs I've had (Brooks, North Face, Merrell). But, they are so comfy and I love the trail bottoms. I always feel so much more stable with the grippy pieces. And these are really super light weight. I would have been a little happier with more muted colors (more natural/earth tones), but I'm okay with a little pop of color and the main body of the shoe being grey. I give these 5 stars all the way through for the price.

These shoes felt great right out of the box and the removable insert allowed me to use my custom orthopedic inserts. I order up a size to allow for the thicker insert. I use them for everyday walks with the dog and trail hikes.

This is my 3rd pair of Asics gels. I appreciate the wider toe box yet a good fit at the heel. I'm not a runner, walk and ride my bike. I use these for my everyday, off work wear. They are comfortable from day 1.

Great shoe, very comfortable, and great that I was able to order in 11.5! Very light weight, and a GREAT price! I will order another pair I like them so much!

I really like this shoe. It is stylish and comes in several great color combinations. The mesh portions of it are tightly woven and should hold up well. Like other reviewers, I found that this shoe runs small. I usually wear a 5-1/2 or 6 and frequently can wear a medium width. I ordered this shoe in a 6M and W. The 6M was too short and not wide enough. The 6W was also too short though the width seemed okay. I exchanged both for a 6-1/2 M and W. The medium was still too tight in the 6-1/2. However, the 6-1/2W fits well. I can't say enough about Zappos' superior customer service. My exchange came 1 day after I ordered it.

I love the Asics brand. They are so lightweight, with a comfortable foot bed, and great arch support! The gel-Venture is my favorite. This is my third pair! They are recommended for my chronic plantar fasciitis.

A great light weight running shoe. This my probably my 20th pair of ASICS'. I always come back to this brand. Great support and true to size. I typically run 30 miles per week.

These are the most comfortable shoes I own. I have plantar fasciitis and these help a ton!

Right out it the box these shoes were comfortable. I have yet to trail run or hike in these but I brought them to walk the day in Seattle and I didn't have any discomfort. They are light weight but the sole seems sturdy and has good grip. I love the bright colors, and the breathable mesh.

These looked much better in person! I usually wear size 9 street shoe but 9 1/2 athletic shoe and this shoe was no different. Light and breathes well. I substituted my own insoles and they feel very supportive for my pronation. Happy with these shoes!

I usually buy Asics a half size larger but these were too big. I am returning them for my regular size.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are comfortable the moment I put them on. Such cute colors and style - that is hard to find in women's larger sizes. It is so nice not to wear men's shoes!

Super fantastic shoes! Very comfortable right out of the box. I am on my feet for 10 hours a day and haven't needed to use my orthotic inserts with these shoes. They provide a lot of support and stability, plus they look great. 10/10 would buy again.

The gel heel is fantastic. I wear them on an all cement floor for over three ours at a time Very comfortable. I wore them the first day for eight hours without pain. My feet have arthritis, bunions, over flexible arch, and plantar fascia and they are an 11 or 12 depending on the shoe. I love these shoes.

I was a die hard Brooks wearer until they changed the shoe. Trying Asics. Pros of this shoe are price, colors are cute and a very stable sole for us pronators. Its comfortable enough. my feet don't hurt so that's a plus too. They initially feel wide but after a long day they are good. For the price, I'll try Asics again when I wear this one out.

I've used them on the trail and in gyms and have felt incredibly supported in both settings. For the price--I'm completely happy with the quality!

I am very happy with these shoes. I wear an 11 and these fit me well. They definitely felt snug when I first put them on, but I knew from previous versions of Asics that they would adjust to my foot quickly. I wear them to work and have no issues (I'm an Athletic Trainer). For size comparisons: I don't fit in Nike size 11, I need a 11.5 or 12 and Asics wide are very wide on my foot if that helps anyone!

I bought these to replace some old Kahanas (sp?). I wasn't crazy about the colors but since they were on sale and were Asics, I bought them. They're a bit narrower than the Kahanas I used to have but I don't have wide feet so it doesn't bother me but be forewarned if you do. Nice traction, good arch support. I wear them around the city and to the gym.

Great support. Great for all around use: walking, shopping, hiking, gardening. My feet and legs prefer to be in these shoes over all others.
