No bike? No worries. Merrell makes great shoes. I've never been disappointed with them. Usually I've purchased hiking boots in some form or fashion, so the Freewheel Chukka is a change for me. Looking for a comfortable day to day shoe that can dress up or down, I chose these. I love the color and the contrasting sole. This shoe didn't require a breaking in period. It felt great right out of the box. It looks great with jeans or chinos. The description mentions that this shoe is good for cyclists. Headed into winter, I don't expect to figure that out until spring. Until then, I love these chukkas.

These are great looking shoes that are very comfortable. The removable insole is awesome and will extend the life of the shoes. They are versatile as well. They go well with chinos and/or jeans.

These shoes are awesome. Very comfortable right out of the box. I wear them to work daily and they are holding up fine. The style is great. I highly recommend them.

I got these shoes for my hubby, he really liked them. He said they're comfortable he's on his feet throughout the day, they go pretty much w/anything he wears jeans, chinos, sometime even his joggers!

This is a super comfortable sneaker/chukka has become my go-to shoe. If you like the look, you won't be dissatisfied. Lots of compliments received.

Love these shoes. I'm 57 yrs old but try to keep up with the current styles. As with all us old guys we're still about the comfort. I wear these with jeans and they look cool and may be the most comfortable chukka/boot I've ever had. I don't buy cheap shoes and these Merrells are well built. They feel like like high top tennis shoes. I'm impressed.

Great looking shoe. My husband is a Converse sneaker guy, but I thought this might be a bit more stylish and were s gift. He really likes them. Very comfortable. The two-toned leather and orange stitching is a great touch. The rubber around the toe is a grey/white to coordinate with the shoe. That might be the best touch. He is normally a 10, but 10.5 was better for the Merrells.

These shoes are great. Love them. Very comfortable, and true to size. Casual, but also stylish.

These were very comfortable right out of the box. They look exactly how I thought they would based on the pictures and description. After one week's use, they have broken in well and still look great.

I've had these for almost three weeks now. Great shoes. Perfect casual style. Comfortable right out of the box. Bought 11's based on the Merrell hiking shoes (and my Timberland and CAT boots) I purchased a year ago; fit matched. There are better padded shoes for really long walks, but for every day duty, these are perfect.

First of all, I think it's a great looking shoe. I got the pair in black and they look just like the pictures. The only thing is that they felt a little small. This is my first pair of Merrell shoes so I went with my normal size of 9 1/2. When I buy another pair I'll go with a size 10.

Pretty good looking shoe. The leather is very soft and I'm concerned about them getting wet. I also keep all my shoes very clean and the white soles on here are hard to clean. For the cost and the brand my expectations for longevity are not as high as one would think.

I am a size 12 with wide feet and I usually have a difficult time finding shoes that are comfortable. These were great right out of the box, true to size, comfortable, accurate online description and color representation. I have only had them a couple of weeks at this point but they seem as durable as any other sneakers in the same style/description arena, a good buy. I would definitely buy again and/or recommend them.

I needed to exchange for a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear. comfortable yes but without lacking support which would have given the shoe a solid 5. Not a walking shoe, but a good office day shoe. I will give them a trade show test in January and update.

I am disappointed in these. The seams look sloppily glued, and even out of the box seem to be peeling away a little. Toebox looks much stubbier than anything I would call a "chukka"; at the tips this shoe looks almost like a pair of wellies. Fit-wise, they are slightly narrower than my Merrell hiking boots: they fit much more like a standard shoe. My normal shoe size is 10½, but I wear a size 10 Merrell hiking boot. I tried both a 10 and a 10½ of these, and I found that the 10½ fit me better. I would advise going with your natural shoe size. The tread is excellent, and if not for the aesthetic issue these shoes would be perfect for bike commuting in wet weather. If Merrell can fix the design, we will have a shoe that is smart enough for most offices and dry and comfortable enough to keep wearing throughout the day.
