These rain boots are beyond yummy! I usually have to order a wide-calf boot since I have athletic legs. I ordered the Hunter Original back adjustable boot and I did not like the way the back fanned out, which I think made me look like I had huge calves. I took a chance on the Rub 1's and I am so thankful I did! Since they tie, the calf can be any size you want it to be. The boots are sturdy, they do not have a yucky plastic smell that some rain boots do and they have a warm felt-like liner, which I think would get you through a very cold and rainy day. I have the boots in Black, but I am going to purchase them in Indigo and Brown. (Brown is available on Amazon along with 9 other fun colors besides what is shown on Zappos!) The boots are a little edgy, with a bit of a Dr Marten feel to them, but they could also come across as a classic field boot. If you are searching for a great boot, that will fit any calf size, do not hesitate, these boots are worth the investment!

I just wanted to let folks know that these boots are worth every penny. I am so glad that Zappos is carrying them. I got my first pair at a little shop in New York City because I wanted to support the courage of the young woman who started the shop (and I really needed a good pair of boots!). The people at my job joke that since I bought the boots it has not stopped raining way more than usual here in North Carolina. True, and by bright turquoise version of these has kept me dry through all of it, for three years and they still look great, almost like new; I am hard on shoes, too. I just like their comfort and function - I have problematic feet - but I also get compliments every time I wear them. They are lined with a really soft, not too hot cotton flannel (think newborn baby blanket) so I have worn them here in North Carolina in the swampy warm weather, too. They also accommodate my orthotics with no problem. Try them; you will just wish that you had done it sooner!

These are gorgeous but waaay to small. Sizing full 1 size or more smaller.

These boots are easy to get on and off and they are comfortable. Have enough room for cordoroy pants. And they are not too heavy.

These are very cute, but there is not enough support for me and they do not fit me right. Also they are too hot for where I live, so I returned them. Having said that, you could put orthotics in if the fit was good.

Texas was having torrents of rain. I needed rain boots in a hurry. The person who helped me with the order was extremely nice and understanding. The boots are perfect. I love the look.

These boots are cute, comfortable and adjustable!They are wide enough for my wider forefoot and tighten around the calf for a custom fit.If you have narrow feet you can wear thicker socks. I sized down because I am usually 6-61/2 wide, 6 is perfect with thicker socks!

I love these! They're true to size, and wide enough in the calf to fit me, but don't "gape" at the top. I haven't worn them outside in the cold yet, but they might be warmer than most rubber boots--fuzzy lining. Neither Hunter nor Crocs fit.

Love this boot. Gets more comfortable as you wear it. The lace-ups are ideal. Admired every time I take a stroll in the rain. Love the color red in general so hear I am 'dancing in the rain'.

FABULOUS. After trying 7 pairs of various makers/styles of wellies, this is the winner. More of a true shoe than just a piece of plastic on your feet. Lacing lets you adjust calf vs ankle ratio (other boots were tight @ calf & wobbly below). Sole looked a bit too "Doc Martins" for me in photo, but blends more seamlessly in person. Real rubber (no PVCs), hand made in Denmark. Comfy footbed. $$$ for a rubber boot, but should last years. They sell different color lacing to mix it up, too.

The boots are beautiful but they were much too heavy for me. They also ran a full size than I expected. I ordered the blue and they are a dark navy.
