I got these for my husband. He asked for Sorels which I tried to get but the colors and style were dull and predictable and luckily the color I would have settled for was not available in his size. I got these instead - size 44 given he wears 10½ men's per someone else's post - thank you! - and he loves them. He says they keep him warm and dry and he intentionally walks through slushy puddles because he can. And we both think they look really stylish but not over the top so he can wear them to work at a law firm.

I live in Maine and really should buy LL Bean boots but if you want to kick it up a notch you buy the Pajar Boots. These boots are very high quality and will keep you feet warm and dry in the worst wet winter weather. Very Nice Boots!

I bought the Baird boot but returned it because Zappos sent the wrong color. The Baird looked great but difficult to take on and off. So I bought the Burman after returning the Baird. This boot is far more comfortable and much easier to take on and off due to the side zipper and looser upper part of the boot. I'm normally a size 9.5 and I bought the size 43 (US 10-10.5). I think the 42 would also fit but I was afraid it might be snug. The picture looks a little grey but the boot is mostly black. It is also very warm with good flexibility.

Great boot! Have a zipper so it is easy to pull on and off without dealing with laces. Also they are not a super clunky boot so you can wear your jeans over the tops of the boot. They are made very well and worth the money. I would recommend getting one size larger than normal shoe size.

It's the first snow in Chicago this year. Roads are slushy. I purposely walked in them. Been out most of the day. Inner toe part of shoes were cold but socks remained dry. I had to exchange for bigger size. I liked my new boots.

I had to try 3 times to get a boot that fits well. (You gotta love Zappos' free return!) In the end, it was worth the effort, but I suggest you go to the sizing chart at www.pajar.com site to get the size they recommend, then order the size you think you need plus a size (or two) larger. (Zappos suggests a Euro size 43 to fit a US men's 9.5 foot, and they list a Euro 44 as equivalent to US 11; however, I found a Pajar size 44 to be a good fit for my US 9.5 feet. Don't know if this is Zappos' or Pajar's problem, but beware.) Also, from the outside these boots look narrower than they fit, so don't be put off before trying them on. When you do get the right fit, these boots are quite comfortable. Better than the winter "pac" boots because their lining is built in, so no fussing with a removable felt liner. They are much easier on/off that the boots with removable liners.

Love 'em. Comfortable, durable, warm, and they look great. They're a little stiff and the sizing is a little wonky. Took me 3 tries to get a pair that fits right. What ended up working for me was a half size larger than my normal size. Highly recommend!

These are very nice boots - light, well designed and well made. One feature I especially like, not mentioned in the description when I ordered mine, is the side zipper which lets you get into and out of the boots very easily without the usual pulling and tugging you often face with taller boots. I seriously doubt the -40? rating rating, but they do have a nice amount of insulating padding all around. If you want warm feet in really cold weather, in my experience, you should order larger boots than your standard size and put on several layers of socks.

Just read a couple reviews and you'll figure out pretty quickly that you should order at least a half size larger than your normal sized shoe (US scale). I went with a full size larger because I have a slightly wider foot than average, and it fits pretty well. That being said - these boots are pretty good. NOT great, but good. The leather loop on the back of the boot that is intended to help you pull the boot on to your foot ripped right out of my right boot as soon as I pulled it on for the first time. So be careful when using it. They aren't as warm as I expected. Love the style. Worth the cost? Probably not, but I'm keeping them.

It took 3 tries to get this right. The first size was way too big (12½) as I took advice from prior reviews and went up two sizes (my error). I usually wear a 10-10½ and returned these for the 11½ which fit much better. The second pair came and looked used so I sent them back and received the new pair today. So far so good. Zappos was great about it. They look good, have OK support and should be waterproof though I have yet to test it.
