The Ecco Damara Strap is probably the best sandal I've ever owned. I now own it in three colors, and it's my favorite of all the Ecco sandals I've tried. I'm a size 6, and the 36 fits me quite well in all of the Ecco shoes. It is so comfortable that it's a dream to wear. The straps are roomy enough that they don't squeeze the front of the foot, and they are soft and don't rub. The shoe is quite lightweight, and it is flexible, allowing for a natural movement of the foot. It's also quite fashionable and pretty, and is a high quality-constructed shoe. Hot tip: Ecco also makes a similar sandal called the Touch Ankle Strap which is slightly fancier and zips up the back of the shoe. I ultimately found the Damara to be slightly more comfy, however. I am now an Ecco devotee, because they put such thought into the construction and design and design of their sandals with a special focus on comfort, but also with an emphasis on fashion. Many of their designs don't scream "comfort shoe", which is something I very much appreciate. They also didn't get stuck on a stiff footbed design that so many comfort shoes do.

I wear between an 8 and 8½ shoe, and need wide toe boxes and narrow heel areas (everyone has got their issues!). The 39, my typical Euro size, was much too large. The width was fine at straps at the ball of the foot but my ankle was swimming around - which was annoying because the wraparound strap rubbed my heel/handle awkwardly. I had also ordered a 38 since reviewers remarked on the sandal running large. The length and ankle wrap o the 38 were great but the straps at the top hugging the ball of my foot was too tight. Strange fit! I also have a high arch and needed good arch support for all the walking I do in summer. Not a lot of arch support in these sandals at all, but my standards are pretty high. My favorite support so far is in the Ecco Chase Tie II. If I could find a summer shoe with that insole I'd be in heaven. Cute look overall, just not enough bang for my buck.

I really cannot believe how comfortable these sandals are! They feel like wearing sneakers. The criss-cross straps don't fit as flat as they're shown in the photo, but I'm so happy with the comfort, that does not bother me. I am usually 8 1/2 or sometimes 9. I bought the 39 and they fit perfectly.

I normally wear an 8m and the 39 was too big for me. Before I could return the 39 my mother-in-law swiped them, so I had to order myself a 38 and now we both wear them all the time! They are so comfortable and look great with crop pants, skinny jeans, skirts and shorts. Wish they came in more colors.

I finally found it! After trying 6 other styles I tried this one and I love it! Perfect for travel, due to Velcro straps, cushioned footbed and on point with the current style (was in Nordstrom catalog). Only thing to note. I wear a 6 and had to go down a size according to Ecco size chart can't wait to wear to Europe. Viva la France

This is a very comfortable sandal, I will be taking to Europe this summer. I only caution that it runs very large and suggest going down a size. I originally purchased a size 7; and found the shoe extended more than an inch beyond my toes. So I ordered the 6 and it is good, even still a little long but a very comfortable sandal

Shoes look great, and feel comfortable. I have flat feet, so support is essential. But Pay attention when people say these run BIG. I normally wear a 6. I had to return the 5 and get 4- 4.5!

Unlike other ECCOs that I've bought and loved, this model, due to the design, went right up against my ankles, and were very uncomfortable. I don't think my ankles are unusual, and I don't have problems with any other shoe. This was just a poor design.

Ordered the Ecco Damara sandal in 36, my usual size. Foot size was perfect but I have a very narrow foot and heel. I couldn't get the strap tight enough to prevent my foot from moving around uncomfortably when walking. Very cute and well made but - So sorry they didn't work!

Just what I was looking for! I wanted a comfortable sandal that I could wear with shorts and a tee shirt or a maxi dress. Something cute and trendy but also comfy. These are sooo comfy and not as 'bold' as the picture looks. I have a narrow foot, but can see these fitting all types of feet.

This is truly rare - a pair of sandals that are comfortable and feminine enough to wear with the rest of my wardrobe. I would love to see some more girly Spring colors like coral, light pink, lavender or moss green.

Love these sandals, they are stylish and comfortable, I have plantar fasciitis and these have great cushioning for the heel. I would buy them in more colors if they were available.

Disappointed with this shoe - it fits as if the sole is strapped to your foot by the upper straps, which are not that tight, which causes the foot to literally slide off the sole/base during walking. No likey. Possibly dangerous. If I had kept the box, I would return these after wearing them three to four times. Will not use.

Ordered my regular size 8 but had to return for a size 7 as they run a size large. Very comfortable, even with my painful plantar fasciitis.

Comfy, stylish, but it runs large. Had to order one size down. Loved these so much I got them in two colors!

Disappointed that the US size is not accurate. I wear a 4.5 and these were way too big. Also a bit shinier than I would have liked.

These are SO comfortable! They are like wearing a very padded sneaker. I'm super picky about shoes and sandals too

I bought these in black and loved them so much that I bought the bronze color also. Very comfortable shoes! I can only wear shoes with arch support and these shoes did the trick. I wish they had them in white but the warm grey metallic which was a bronze color is a good neutral color with my tan.

One of the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. My foot sits comfortable in the footbed after I moved the straps a bit t create a custom fit. The silver color is very pretty.

This one ran quite large on me. Usually a 39 always fits. I really could not tell you much about fit except that.

Super cute shoe! I ordered a size down and it was perfect!

We bought these for my mother-in-law, who usually wears only diabetic shoes and has a lot of trouble finding footwear that is attractive AND comfortable. She had admired my and my partner's Ecco sandals, and so we purchased this pair for her in the Alusilver color. I was worried they might look a little old-lady-ish with their wide straps and white soles, but I was wrong, as they are actually quite cute. They pair well with both dressy and casual outfits. And best of all, my mother-in-law can wear them without any discomfort. She loves the shiny silver color, the way they allow her toes to breathe, and the overall style and comfort of the shoe. She wants a second pair in another color!
