At this price point I would have expected some metal grommets on bottom of bag to protect leather. Otherwise I love it!!

This is a gorgeous bag. The leather is soft & the blue zipper is stunning. The drawback for me is the lack of structure to it. It just falls onto itself & I find it is difficult to find things inside because the sides fall into the middle of the open bag. It is also hard to unzip for the same reasonnothing to give it any heft! The size is also a bit too big for me. I have a Bryant medium which I love! Hammett makes beautiful products. The Daniel large is just not my favorite.

I love the Hammitt large orange bag. I wish you would sell the large royal blue bag. The medium bags are too small for me. Please let me know if you will be selling them.

This bag is so beautiful - understated glam. It's big enough for me to even fit my laptop in it, so long as I don't have too much other stuff in it. I love everything about it, except the pockets can be improved. The interior slip pockets are a bit too shallow, so my lipsticks and sunglasses fall out and I have to dig them out of the bottom of the bag. Also, I have an older large Daniel that has a zip pocket on the outside in addition to the slip pocket - which is very handy for quick access items like keys. The newer versions don't have it, but I'd suggest adding it back into the design. Those of us who buy big bags want as many pockets as possible to organize all the stuff we carry.

I'm very pleased with my Daniel bag! The leather is wonderful. The hard-wear does seem to scratch easily but it's okay as the bag is great. I will say that the long strap is a bit wide so it will not stay put on the shoulder. I don't carry it that way a lot so it's okay. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to carrying it each day! If they weren't so much money I'd have one in every color!

I just received my bag in the mail 4 days ago and it has an awful chemcial smell. I thought it was from the processing of the leather, but hasn't gone away yet. The bag is smaller than I thought it would be, but should work just fine. This leather feels different than all my other leather hammit bags. It also has a lot of imperfections in it. I'm hoping it wears well and becomes a unique looking bag. I love the width of the strap on this bag though and cant wait to carry it if the smell ever goes away!

love the purse but the wide handle I wanted to use doesn't get short enough

I received this handbag and was so excited because I love to dress in black and white. The description says black and white leather but the white is a pinkish blush color and is far from white. It is a beautiful handbag but disappointed because I was wanting black and white.

I absolutely love the Daniel silhouette and own several of them. However, I recently purchased a new bag to find they had changed the beautiful, vibrant red snakeskin imprint suede interior and not for the better. Instead it was this kind of fluffy, smooth, and almost sun bleached red suede. It looked cheap and was so disappointing to find. The previously padded handles are now more flat and not as luxurious as they were before. It was explained they made these changes to make the bags lighter, but I couldn't feel a significant difference in weight between my old bags and this one. Regardless I sent this bag back and sought one out from a retailer that still had one of the older styles in stock.

In all honesty, I am disappointed. The leather and the craftsmanship are beautiful, as is the color. It is fairly small too. The biggest disappointment with this bag, is the size of the 3 inside pouches. Nothing fits in them. Not my phone, which is a tiny iPhone 8. Not my keys. Not even my pack of tissues. These would be amazing, especially since there are 3, but they are useless.

I have one Hammett bag that I love so when I receive the Daniel bag for Christmas from my husband I was so excited. However, the lack of structure and floppiness doesn't fit my life style. When the bag is pictured in photos it looks like it has more structure. Very disappointed!!!

I bought the teal, Daniel large. I received the black one with red zipper. It was a hassle trying to contact the company trying to get a return label. It took 2 hours with back and forth communication with the company before I got the label. I asked why they don't put a label in the package and I was told the labels expire. I find this odd. If someone wants to return the item they will know within minutes of receipt of the product. I like the color but my biggest complaint is that the purse slouches. I like a purse with structure. Even when the purse is full of the item it still slouches. I am going to keep just because the return process is a hassle. Just make sure you really like the item before purchasing.

I was super excited to receive my bag ( I have a medium sized grey one as well ) It arrived and I instantly fell in love! I used it for about three days and went to open my bag to pay for something and the hardware literally fell off in my hand. I am so disappointed. Now I have to send it back and wait for it to be repaired. Super sad and super disappointed.

I recently ordered and loved my Addie bag, so when this teal Daniel bag was offered, I jumped on the chance to order it. Unfortunately, while it is a nice bag, it isn't as functional as the Addie. The leather is beautiful, but heavy. Also, the interior pockets are not as large as those of the Addie. I really have trouble fitting my large iPhone in any pocket. This was my fault for not checking more carefully before ordering, but I also thought the studs on the outside were metal, as they are on many of the Daniel bags, but they are leather covered. That wouldn't have been my preference. The bag comes with a shoulder strap which I find rather large and cumbersome, and the other strap handles are really too short to use as shoulder straps. The workmanship is impeccable, just not my taste.

The fabric/material is showing signs of wear after 2 weeks.

I purchased many hammocks in my lifetime. I just don't love this one. I think the color is just very easy to get dirty. I've had issues with keeping it clean. My jeans have rubbed off a little and dirt is on it as well. My next bag will be darker.

I LOVE this bag (size, shape and size are perfect!), but when I bought it (loving the pattern), I didn't notice the daisies. . I probably would have gotten the solid black one instead had I realized there are daisies in the pattern.

I have purchased two Hammitt Daniel bags. I love the look. However, about one month after purchasing the second bag the zipper broke. I contacted the concierge and was told to send it in for repair. Prior to sending it in I noticed one of the gold rings was missing the pin that keeps the ring closed. I again contacted Hammitt and asked them to repair the ring as well. I mailed the bag for repair. When I received the bag back the zipper was repaired but the ring was not. I contacted them again and was told to send it in again. At this point, I believe they should have replaced the bag. Who wants to spend this amount of money on a bag and have to send it back for repair more than one time?

Bottom corner of bag began to wear away.

I bought this bag and it broke almost immediately. The grommets literally break apart. Zappos was awesome and sent a second bag. it also broke in the same spot. Not good quality!

Purchased thru Dillard's. No presentation box and no dust cover. The real shame was the handbag itself. The company is excellent as far as marketing. Totally convinced the purse would be amazing. The reality, it is underwhelming, does not smell like leather, cheap looking hardware and liner. Would never give it a second look. Certainly does not look handmade. Sent back the day it was received. If you want a really beautiful handbag it smells like leather get a Dooney Florentine bag or a Brahman bag.

I've only had this purse for two weeks. While I love it, the leather is very supple but fragile. Color transfers for the leather way too much. If you wear dark denim - beware! Even if your denim has been washed several times, the color might still transfer. This purse is already totally worthless to me and now I'm on the hunt for a new purse.
