I have been trying for several months to find the proper fit, always have purchased New Balance. Have to go to the NB store to get a proper fit.

I guess I won't even try the 813's. i thought the 812's were a terrible replacement of the 811's.
And i see the 813 are not made in the U S A like ALL the previous ones of this style.

I have a narrow foot and a really high arch. I typically use an insert for arch support in shoes that I wear for an extended period of time or if I'm going to do a lot of walking on a hard surface. These shoes seemed like they'd be comfortable for a normal foot, but they were not Narrow, despite my ordering them in Narrow. They slipped on my heel even though the length of the shoe was fine. The style was ok - I thought they looked a bit "puffy" on my foot and they aren't as sleek as the current trendy NB shoes.

The tongue of the shoe is not leather, but a soft mesh, This makes the fit somewhat poor in the area of the laces. It's not terrible, but I won't buy this style again.

After wearing them a few times I donated them because I could not wear them. There was no heel support

The laces are way to long - almost 2 ft. left after lacing up.
Returned the walking shoes I had worn for many years.

I have purchased New Balance shoes since 1992, and have always been pleased with them; for me they ran true to size, and fit like a glove. Since not wanting to pay for the high price of the 928 sneakers, that always fit like a glove, I decided to go with the 813. They were comfortable, actually way too much because the width was overly wide (even with my orthotics) which was a surprise to me since the wide always fit perfect in all the other New Balance shoes that I have ever had. Ok, so I thought by tightening up the laces they would probably be ok; then I noticed after taking the shoe off the seam, on the inside right shoe, was sewn back about an inch. The other seams were sewn properly. Would this be a problem? Yes, because after time it would roll and cause a lump in the shoe. Another thing is the tongue is much shorter then is pictured, and felt quit awkward. I decided to return those and order the 928. So I ordered the 928, which I will review on that page. Shame on you, New Balance, your shoes have changed drastically and not for the good! I called customer service and had the most wonderful experience with a young man, I believe his name was Lance. He went way out of his way to take care of me. A huge thank you to him!

I am so upset that new balance has changed their extra wide sneakers. I have 3E foot and the 4E in this shoe is so narrow they hurt. Models 855 (the best ever!) and 856 were awesome. Plus they weren't frumpy looking. 857 runs less wide and I can't wear them very long. I kept them because I was desperate.

Choosing between Rockport ProWalker and this model and there's no comparison - Rockport is all-leather, while NB has a fabric tongue, and the Rockport leather has nicer and thicker feel than NB. I ordered both for the comparison and returned NB. Rockport also fit better on my very narrow feet.

I researched a lot trying to find the best shoe for me. I need double knee replacement and walking is challenging. Everywhere I looked, this shoes were supposed to be the best. Sadly, after wearing them one day, I cannot use them! The soles are slippery causing a lot of tension and pain to my knees, and the fit is tight so my foot actually felt numb and cramped...sad to say not the shoes for me! Everyone else seems happy with them! But had I not disposed of the packaging, I would return them...

These shoes did not have enough support for me so I returned them. I wear orthotics and need VERY supportive shoes. I was finally able to get a pair of Brooks Addiction that I have been wearing for years but had been unable to purchase due to supply chain backlogs.

Followed the New Balance size chart and they didn't even come close to fitting. Way too small.

I wear NB all the time and love them. However, this online order was different. I always take a 7 wide. I tried these and like a fool wore them outside. They were too long and way to wide. I really didn't notice iit much until I was walking. Perhaps it is this style. I always wear NB 411, but can't find them anymore. I will have to go back to going to the store no more online ordering for me. Hope I can find a NB line that works for me.

I have been buying New balance shoes for years and years. However I have one pair at home that I can't wear all day with comfort. My new purchase is exactly like that uncomfortable shoe I already have.

A customer for years. Sized always as 10 1/2 2E or 11 2E.
Shoes or boots. Never a problem. Always comfortable.
Ordered white leather walking shoes and took advantage of 4E width availability. I have never had my feet hurt in so many places. Big mistake. I kept loosening the laces. I even checked the label- did I get a narrow by error. The shoe looked fine. Terrible fit.

These were both too small. I wear a 101/2 in this type of shoe.

My feet are largesize 11 in womens, But even with that, they are heavy shoe. I will be returning them. I do have other NB shoes, just not this style.

I entered "mens black velcro" on the search bar so when I clicked on the shoe, I thought it was a mens shoe. Turns out New Balance thought it would a good idea to include a womens version of the mens shoe that I was looking for. Since I didn't double-check and make sure that it was a mens shoe that I was ordering, I'll take the hit but I am seriously upset with New Balance for pulling such an underhanded move.

Ordered my usual size and shoe was at least 1/4 inch shorter than pair I am currently wearing (same size). Returned them and according to web site NB out of next size up. Ordered from Zappo (i/2 size larger) and when it came it was more than 1/2 inch longer than current shoe. This is not a new problem. NB 847 versions have varied from too short to too long since riginsl version which fit perfectly.

I am normally a size 9.5. 9.5 wide for these is way too large, and 9.5 normal turned out too little. I am dissapointed that these don't fit, and that there is obviously a size in-between 9.5w and 9.5 normal that is missing.

I got my usual number on the web and it was too small. I went to exchange in store and they don't hold any stock so I had to return them.

They must have a new manufacturer. I have been buying the same shoes for 15 years...now shoes have less depth at heel..much smaller.. cannot wear .
