I'm 42 and started skating again after about 15 years. I needed a good skate shoe and wasn't happy with the current crop of Vans I had tried.....build quality, comfort, etc. I did a lot of research and landed on the ZX. Historically I haven't liked Adidas low-top shoes, but these fit very very well. Construction appears top notch, price point was reasonable and the newer narrower cuts of modern skate shoes really helped my size 12 paddles. The big bonus to these shoes besides the great styling, is the top two lacing holes that allow you to lace a "heel lock". That's what finally sold them for me when I put them on...just feel like a glove on me.

GREAT SHOES

These are my favorite shoes to date. They're very comfortable, and I've worn them for everyday things as well as when I go to the gym or go for a walk. Even after walking around San Francisco on my recent visit, up and down hills, and for miles on end, my feet were never really sore like they were with other shoes. I bought these shoes about 10 months ago and have worn them almost every day. The seam of the shoe is falling apart near the toe, so it's unfortunately time to retire these. They have been really great, though.

I bought this as a Christmas present, so the lucky receiver can't tell me what he thinks, but they look great. It is a really good looking pair of shoes. I am trying adidas for skateboarding because the other brands we have tried do not hold up very long.

good overall support. More support than other Adidas skate shoes I had recently. Look good, feel good.

Great shoe, comfy and easy to break in, fit is true to size, durable and breathes well. Fit nice and snug and great for the skate park.

Attractive trendy shoe. Felt narrower in fit compared to other skateboarding shoes.

Pretty tight for people with 4 1/2" width. I had to stop wearing them. Other than that, these are really good shoes. They took about 2 days to break in.

I'm not sure if the toes are wider than usual or what. But these shoes sound like I'm walking in rubber boots. FWOMP FWOMP FWOMP. I think its the material over the toes flexing as I step. Otherwise, I really like these shoes.

Love the shoe, but they are definitely not a "D" width. They are extremely narrow...
