I was hoping it was a little wider but it was true to width. My daughter normally wears a wide shoe and I was hoping the string would help to loosen the width a bit. I did luck up and find a different pair of Keen with a wide toe area. Size purchased 2. My daughter also wears a 2 in striderite and crocs Comparison below. Width of two different style Keens. We get the Newport H2s for our kids every summer. They are our family's go-to outdoor water/light hiking shoe. This year, we decided to try the Seacamp style. My 8-year old daughter LOVES them. They are MUCH lighter and my daughter loves that about them. She says they are SO comfy. They definitely have slightly less toe coverage and flex more than the Newport so I was worried for hiking but they worked out fine. They are perfect for a beachy/boaty shoe. Only problem is that, after only a few wears, the cording got overstretched (like a hair band!) and then the plastic toggle came undone. May have been due to hard pulling from my daughter, but I'm sure it's no different than she ever handled any of her other Keen cords. So I was disappointed with the durability. That said, Zappos exchanged them no problem. So we are hoping for better luck this time (and I reminded my daughter to pull lightly on the cords!).

These hold up so well that when our daughter outgrew them we passed them down to her sister. Perfect summer shoe for beach/kayak/camp adventures and then you can throw them in the washing machine! Our daughter wears a 1.5-2 and the 2 fit great with a little room for growth.

This is the 2nd pair that I bought for my daughter. They are a less clunky version of the original Keen, she wore them all the time last year. They provide good support for running around, and quick to get on and off- helps that they are waterproof. Only downside is once they get wet, they have to dry (unlike a rubber shoe that you can towel off). She loves them!

These are the most outstanding shoes my 8 year old has ever worn! She's been wearing them all summer long, and occasionally I throw them in the wash, and let them air dry -- they come out like new! They are so comfortable to her, and she can wear them with dresses, shorts, to the beach and pool. I love that they protect her toes, and provide protection when she's running, bicycling, scootering, and climbing on the playground. A+!

I bought these for my nine year old daughter. She loves the rich bubble gum pink color and says they are very comfortable, and she is picky about shoe comfort. I like that they are very light weight, much more so than older Keen models. They will get lots of use this summer for sure. The fit was true to size (in my experience Keens often feel smaller because of the toe construction, but not these - she is size 4 and size 4 fit just right, with no extra room but not small either). I have not washed them yet, but the machine washable quality is certainly a plus.

I love these shoes. They aren't quite as bulky as the Newport H2 which is what I normally buy for my kids. I got my daughter the Turquoise Seacamp II in a size one. They were a little big but as soon as we cinched up the bungee and and tightened the strap around the ankle they were good. She has some room to grow but they aren't sloppy. The are a much more brilliant blue than I expected and feel like the picture didn't do them justice. They really look nice and my daughter (who is 8) just loves them. In fact, I just came back and ordered the Seacamp II in black for my 12 yr. old. I may even splurge and get myself a pair!

It’s actually somewhat attractive in this blue color, and good for hiking and water sports. Best of all it fits well for my narrow footed child. The other key in water does For kids, I forget style name, it’s too wide for her. She likes them. It’s her second pair.

Worked great for hiking in Hawaii! Comfortable and has good traction.

I have purchased these sandals for both of my children for several years now. My kids love that they are comfortable and stay securely on their feet, and I love that they are washable. Perfect for active kids and definitely worth the money!

I wear a women's size 5 and these fit me perfect. Light weight and comfortable!

These shoes are perfect for the summer! My daughter wears them to camp, water parks and they are an easy 'grab and go' shoe for all summer activities. They are made well and are very comfortable. I love how they protect her toes and are easy on and off. We have bought a pair for the past three years. Love them!

In my opinion, you can't beat the comfort and durability of these shoes. They are easy to put on and off and can be worn in grass, mud, and water and then be hosed off or even dumped into the washing machine at the end of the day. Love them as a mom of busy kids that enjoy exploring.

My daughter loves these Keen sandals. She has been wearing them for years. They wash well and the rubber sole is great for active kids. I wish they made bigger kids sizes. Once your child grows out of the kid sizing, keen sandals are double the price.

I buy these shoes every summer for my kids to wear to camp. They are able to get them wet so it is a versatile shoe.

Love these shoes! We have had the best luck with Keen's for my kids. We had the Whisper shoes last year (finally died) and this year's color choices didn't delight my daughter. She loves these shoes. I love that kids can get them on and off by themselves and they are machine washable! Twice a week, in they go and that keeps them looking great and not smelly. We can usually get two years out of a pair (as long as their feet don't grow too much).

This is the 3rd year my older daughter has been wearing the Seacamp style Keens. Her younger sister is now wearing the ones from last year. They both love them. Comfortable, not as bulky as the other styles. The color on these is lovely.

Bought these for my particular 11 year old and she loves them. They are very comfortable, fit true to size and seem like great quality shoes. So far, very happy with the purchase.

These are awesome must-have shoes for my daughter this summer. I would recommend a pair of Keens - the closed toe and sandal fit is so versatile. It is an athletic shoe that can get wet! This is her third pair - the shoes are high quality, comfortable out of the box, and stretch as the foot grows. Run true to size - and are adjustable for narrow/wide feet.

Great looking shoes, love the color for my 13-year-old daughter, and they are true to size. My daughter has narrow feet and this brand is a little wide, but still works for her. They would be fine for wide feet.

My daughter loves these shoes. This is her second pair. They last forever (are tough enough to be passed down to her little sister), and they make great water and walking shoes. She loves everything about them.

Great shoe, comfortable and very resilient. It's this home's summer shoe of choice. We've purchased this type of Keen for the last 3 years and the kids wear them till they no longer fit.

I bought these for myself after I tried out the women's clearwater. These fit great! I wore them right out of the box on a week long vacation to the Florida Keys. I didn't plan to but ended up wearing them every day. My only complaint is the fabric up by the toe does not have the webbing like the sides so it ended up getting very dirty. Other than that I love them. Maybe a darker color, I bought honeysuckle, wouldn't show as much dirt.
