Stable platform much like the Brooks GTS 14, which of course isn't available any more. Comfortable and medium flexible. Slightly larger in the heal width, but can be fixed with some pads or it might wear in. Good stable even support.

I've got plantar fasciitis in both of my unreasonably large, flat feet (14 2E). My last pair of Gel Kayano's finally lost all their midsole support, so I had to look for something else. I think Gel Fortify might just be my new favorite shoes. Not as much cush in the heel strike as I would like, but the midsole is the best I've ever had. They're comfortable enough to wear all day with jeans or tights. It looks huge on me, but with my size, what wouldn't? They're a little clunky looking, but way better than Brooks Beast. I highly recommend them if you're a big guy with foot problems.

Perfect shoe for a big foot! I have ordered this shoe before for my son who has a big foot. He wears a 16 W. This shoe is true to size and width also. I would give higher then 5 stars if I could. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great shoe for the treadmill. Well built, true to size No break-in time needed. Did 3 miles the first time I put them on. I have fairly flat feet and the arch was just right.

These are the most comfortable and supportive Asics that I have had in a while. I had been on the Evolution (5,6) but then had moved to Saucony and am now happy that I am with these guys again. They provide solid support and a great feel - I need both.

Great shoe that is new for 2015 and received very fast as usual. Good fit, good arch support and color of shoe is good. Toe Box room is adequate and normally wear a 9.5 in dress or casual shoe, but these I order in a 10 medium. Fit great and plan to order a back up pair before they go out of stock. I have bought recently a pair of ASICS Gel Fortify and I think that was a good deal, is an excellent and strong shoe, this is really for severe over pronators or people with their foot sick that twist it inward, on this last case some pain could appears after use the shoes. I strong recomend these shoes, the problem is the dealer or their supplier because many sizes and widths are unavailable.

A whole lot of shoe! Make no mistake about these shoes, they are big, bulky and stable stiff. But that's exactly what I was looking for. I'm a marathon+ distance runner with rather wide feet, overpronate and unrepentant heel striker. My gel nimbus are great for race day, but they were not up to snuff for "training abuse". I tried the Brooks Beast but they just did not fit quite right. I looked at Altra and Hoka but they don't carry wide sizes. So, decided to give these ASICS a spin. I'm extremely pleased with the fit, stability and walking-on-the-clouds cushioning. I can now put in the long miles w/o ending up with my feet and calf hurting. Again, these are not race-day shoes, but they are designed and made for training for people needing massive amounts of cush, stability and over-pronation assistance.

I ordered this and a pair of Kayano 22 because high end Ascics are not readily available and usually never in wider sizes. These feel about the same level of cush as Kayanos but not too much stiffer. I kept the Kayanos.

I usually take a size 12 but found upon arrival this shoe is running a little small. So I returned them and ordered 12½ which fits well but not perfectly. But I will keep them as I have trouble finding good fitting athletic shoes for walking. Also, the return process should be a little easier as I have to return via USPS since we do not have a UPS store close by. I have to call to get return labels as you cannot do that online.

I'm not a runner...but I walk about 15 miles a week. This is a very nice shoe for that purpose. They are not as light as my Mizunos, but the support and padding make the weight difference worthwhile. I subtracted 2 stars from style because the material used on each of the sides near the front looks and feels like foam rubber. If I had to guess...the designer just got tired and sent the shoe drawings to manufacturing without finishing the outside layer of the shoe design. Oh - and get a size wider than you are used to.

Shoes look great - however, I have had them for a few months now and my feet are sore after wearing them for a couple of hours and these shoes don't breathe as well as other Asics I have owned.

I like the look, but I am getting pain in the left foot heel area. The only real padding is the insert. My heel feels like it is in contact with the floor. The tread is very hard a makes noise when walking on hard flooring. I got these in an 11, 4E for my wide 10½ feet. I normally wear a GT-2160. I hate to send them back, but I may have to try the GT-2000.

I am very disappointed that a shoe of this design does not fit properly. I never had a problem with basics sizing before. I am very disappointed that they have to go back for an exchange. Why is it so difficult to get consistent sizing across the same brand?
