I love Columbia outdoor pants and these are no exception. I wear these for work outdoors in a hot climate where I do a lot of bending; they're great as they have good stretch but retain their shape and also have a moderately high waist which is so much more comfortable and practical in my opinion. I'm tall and the long length is great, and as a bonus the pants roll up to mid-calf and have straps to keep them there. Also, they are pants not leggings; and though fitted in the rear, the leg portion is straight, which is my preference. A looser leg is especially useful in the southern summer where a looser fit garment is recommended to aid in keeping mosquitos off you. The fabric is good in a light rain and has a slight crispy texture, a little noisy but not distractingly so outside. I'm tall and ordered the long length which is fantastic. As a bonus for versatility the pants roll up to mid calf and have straps to keep them there. These would be good for both the city and trail active lifestyle. One advisement, these run SMALL for Columbia pants. I wear a 2 in all other Columbias but these I wear a 4.

Just what I was looking for! Every now and then I try more upscale brands, but I usually end up coming back to Columbia and I'm rarely disappointed. These pants were the perfect fit and style. I was looking for a flexible, breathable, but water-resistant pant for hiking and walks in milder weather. These are perfect for me. I love the hidden snaps and the ability to shorten or lengthen the pant. The material and colors were nice. I love the five pockets - one at each hip, one on each rear, and on side zipper. I am 5'6" and 130# with a muscular/curvy thighs/rear. The 6 fit just right.

These are my favorite long hiking pants ever. They are very lightweight and comfortable with just the right amount of stretch. They have a flattering straight leg, you could easily use them for travel without looking like you are on safari. I am an avid hiker and have several times worn these for several hours in heavy rain. The water just rolled off, my skin never got wet. I am 5'2" and wear the size 6 short. In other brands I would wear no larger than a 4 so I would recommend ordering a size larger than normal unless you are really slim in the thigh area.

This pant is not made for an hourglass shape. I normally wear a sz 6 and ordered the 8. Fit was tight to my thighs and billowing around the ankles. The waist was fine. Who are the models shaped like men in the photos?

These are great hiking paths! I'm on the tall side (5'7" and around 130 lbs) and it's been tough finding hiking pants with the right length. These long lengths work great. I wish they were bootcut, but those don't seem to exist in women's hiking pants (I only found one pair by Back Beauty and they don't offer it in a longer length). So they look a little dumb/bunchy around my trail shoes, but let's be real.. they are hiking pants, this isn't a fashion show. But they fit GREAT at the waist and butt. I have pretty thin/athletic legs so if you have a huge thighs and a large rear-end, you probably won't like these but I loved the fit. Very happy to have found these!

My search for hiking pants that fit and are not too ugly is over. I am a "curvy fit" in most brands, because I have a small waist, and these fit with no gapping at the waist without being too tight on my muscular thighs. For reference, I am 5'6" and 128 lb. A 6 fits me in these. I wear a 2 or 4 in most mall brand pants.

I have 4 pair of Saturday Trail pants and every pair fits exactly the same! We travel several times a year and these pants are perfect for every occasion from 8 hours on a plane or hiking in the Alps, visiting a museum in London. The wrinkles fall out, quick drying and dirt just brushes off. We are older travelers and it is important to feel comfortable wherever you are. I truly love these pants and they are the only ones I pack!

I wear a size 6 in all pants. I am tall and slender. I wear size 28 jeans. These were on the tight side. I have other Columbia pants in a 6 and they all fit well. Nice style and details, but they are going back.

I have purchased size 14 trail pants for years. I bought a new pair and the new pants were significantly smaller than all of my old pantsthey were more like a size 10.

The fabric is fantastic--seems lightweight, stretchy, and water repellent. However, as a very apple-shaped female, I really need the stretch more in the waistband than anywhere else. If you have another body type, these pants really seem amazing. Sadly, I have to return them although the look like a perfect fit, the waist does not have enough "give" for me to be comfortable in positions other than standing.

I was looking for a lightweight, comfortable pant for travel, and I found it in this Columbia trail pant. I don't much like the look of a convertible pant, so the roll-up option on this pant is a very nice alternative. I also like the little hidden zip pocket in the leg -- so handy when traveling. This also is a very comfy sitting pant for long flights. My only quibble is that the back pocket flaps could be a teensy bit little longer since a bit of the Velcro sometimes becomes exposed and catches on some of the tops I've worn. But I love these pants so much, I can't bring myself to mark them down for that little glitch.

These pants are cute and have nice stretch, but the waist runs very tight. I’m 5’10” 146 lbs and sometimes wear a 6 if it’s a low rise or an 8 if it is higher. I ordered an 8 long and it was way too tight and uncomfortable in the waist. Unless you have a small waist compared to your hips I’d say order up a size! I ordered a 10 from amazon to try since they were cheaper there.

I ordered size 4 of these pants because size 2 no longer fit me. They came in about 5 days later I was so excited to try them on.. When I try them on they wouldn't fit me just like size 2 didn't. I compare them side-by-side and realize that they're exactly the same size!!! Buyers beware. I am disappointed that a reputable company like Columbia sports have errors in sizing like this.

These are the perfect pants for hiking, walking around. They are light, comfortable and great for travel. They weigh almost nothing, have Velcro closures on the back pockets and stayed dry while I recently hiked in the misty and rainy Redwoods in Northern California. The fit is true to size, very comfortable and moves with you.

I have tried ALL the brands--these Columbia Sat.Trail pants dry faster than any others I had (unfortunately) purchased (and now never wear)-they also Look Great! They wash and wear very well; and are very functional for my epic backpack trips as well as day hikes or fishing- Amazingly, they are also Super Comfortable-with just the right amount of stretch-I can confidently recommend these well designed pants--these are my third pair(different colors;) They have it ALL!

I am very happy with these pants. Size 6 worked fine for my 5'8", 129 pound body. The fabric is lightweight but has enough body to feel substantial and drape properly. Perfect golf pants. I'm sure they will improve my score!??

I am 5'4 1/2 and apple shaped. I purchased these in a size 16. I was hesitant at first because I always have trouble with waistbands being too tight. However, they fit great! The top of the waistband actually sits just at the top of my navel, not low like on the model in the photo. The inseam is just right as well. I like the lightweight fabric and its stretchiness. It is just a little loose in the legs, but those are my skinniest body part!

Unfortunately although these pants are super nice material and feel nice on, I tried both the 4 and 6. The 4 was snug tight and the 6 was way too big. I had to return both pairs. The length was perfect though, I'm 5' 3 1/2". I'm 118 and my waist is straight with my hips, so if you've got a more thin waist and wider hips these might work better for you.

I'm 5'2, 180 lbs and carry most of my weight in the breasts and the stomach. Normally I'm a size 12, but sized up to a 14 due to other reviews. Extremely tight in the crotch, could barely button. I also ordered a short inseam, and I would prefer not to hike with a wedgie. Returned ASAP.

This is the second pair I purchased. They are cut on the smaller side which is a good fit for me. I really love the material. It is lightweight and stretchy, very comfortable.

I really like these pants. I work outside in a garden center and preserve. It is very hot, humid and buggy. I am down on my knees pulling weeds and crawling around. These pants are light weight and stretch. They have 4 pockets for all my needs and look nice when I am working with customers. I have them in gray, black, tan and now this light rose. I am 5.5 ft tall and weight about 117. I have the size 4 and size 6. The 6 are loose but I don't need a belt. The 4 fits to my body. I am comfortable in both sizes. The wash well with no stains so far. I have been wearing them weekly for 6 months. No complaints.

Size 4. Great quality, just a little too small compared with other Columbia pants I have. 5 ft 1 in, 106 lbs.

These pants are perfect. Lightweight, comfortable and very flattering. They do run small. I'm normally a size 2 and re-ordered a size 4 and the fit is just right. Really good value too. Can't wait to go for a hike.

This is my second pair of Saturday Trail pant, so YES, I like them! I bought the first pair to take on a trip, and thought the blue would be an excellent addition to my travel wardrobe. My only comment is that the snap for converting the pants to capris is challenging to operate.
