Love this bag! I wanted a more comfortable bag than my Kavu Rope bag (the ropes were bulky and scratchy around my neck plus the material attracted cat hair like crazy!). This bag is so lightweight so it's not a strain on my back and the strap is adjustable and comfortable worn across the body. I use it as a diaper bag also so I like that the slick material can be wiped down and doesn't hold on to smells. Overall great versatile bag for everyday wear!

While shopping for a few items by Patagonia just now, I came across this bag. One of my sisters loves this bag that I have and has kicked herself for not grabbing one years ago when she saw it at a shop, but then she wanted to kick me when she saw I owned one. Okay, I own the predecessor to this bag, but it looks like the only thing that changed is the exterior pocket which is now divided. I have owned this bag for six years and it still looks brand new. I had to read the other reviewer to see why it was rated so low and immediately had to write a review because I tell this bag I heart it every time I use it and I will share with you why! Firstly, the textile is 90 percent ripstop, there is zero structure and it is designed to fold up to the size of a deck of cards, so expect that. Let's talk about why I purchased this bag and how I have become to adore it over the years. Originally I purchased it for a week at Disney with two kids and a husband including the round trip flights running through the airports. But since, it has graced me crossbody style to the state fair, school field days and fall festivals, every museum in our state capital (summers are weekly) visiting my jealous baby sister to tour all of the DC landmarks, day hiking, the beach. It is the perfect day bag. After seeing how this bag preforms, my husband does not carry his pack anymore, which always made his back sweat anyway. Another reason to love this basic gear is the lightweight, comfortable and adjustable strap that is a meshy breathable material. Cool and comfortable as a crossbody or shoulder strap carry style. An essential element I never saw coming is the external mesh elastic pockets under the strap at each end of the bag. If you look at the detailed photos above, you can see the gusseted pockets that I am speaking of. I always pop my phone/camera in one pocket and a water in the other for easy and quick access. There is an interior zip pocket as well as exterior zip pocket(s). This bag is perfect in size for all day, even for a family of four and I have never found myself wishing it was larger or redesigned. I stuff this bag with a lightweight blanket, wallet, keys, waters/snacks, wipes/sanitizers, rocks, sticks and shells(kid treasures), and occasionally kids shoes end up in there. It has never felt heavy, even after all day of use and packed to capacity. The bag just hugs you! Literally, from the straps to the body of this bag, it just conforms to your body like an extension of of the wearer. Now that this bag is back in production, I can surprise my sister with the perfect gift and grab one for myself as a backup.

Love! My go to purse for travel. I take a "bag" with books, headphones, billfold, makeup, etc., as my "carryon" then when I get to hotel, take this out of big bag and fill with billfold, accessories, etc., The shoulder strap is perfect to use cross body and phone in one front pocked/sunglasses in other keeps me organized and hands free to shop, walk, etc., in addition to the end pockets for water bottle & keys. Buying these now for friends as gifts once they see mine they want one! Love the fabric - light weight and easy to wipe off.

Great bag for travel or everyday use! It's lightweight, folds easily to stow in luggage, and holds all your basics. Adjustable strap is easy to adjust and wide enough that it does not cut into your shoulder.

I wanted a bag that was cross body and could hold enough to replace a small backpack for an international flight. I wanted zippers to replace the Velcro that was eating my scarves alive. This fit the bill. It has a large main compartment, mesh expandable pockets on the end that can hold water bottles or gloves or whatever you want access to without unzipping. The large main compartment zips. It has a pocket for storing itself (which I will never use) works as an inside zipped pocket for small wallet. The black is opaque. The bag is light. The strap has light padding and is comfy and adjustable for length.

This courier is awesome. We use it as a diaper bag but it is also great as a super light and easy to throw stuff in sack. We like the updated design with two side pockets on the outside of the bag. Way to go Patagonia!

It comes very wrinkled and smushed, but that's ok. Colors (I got the orange one) are bright, just as pictured. Perfect for shopping and running around.

The perfect back for the daily use. We actually use it as a diaper/toddler bag. Lightweight, right size, and durable.

Great bag! Use it for diaper bag. Outside pocket good for cell phone and small items. Durable material but so light. Long strap fits cross body or around stroller handles. Simply the best.

I wanted something rugged and comfortable to use as my "mom bag". My kids (ages 6;7) are out of diapers but I still lug a lot of stuff around. I had a tote bag but it was killing my shoulder and spine and I wanted something that could be worn across the chest. It was between this bag and a LeSportsac. This is probably the less stylish of the two but in the end the quality and ethical values of the Patagonia brand won out. I do wish the zippers were less narrow and it was easier to reach into the front and main pocket but other than that this bag will do. Black does make it somewhat difficult to search within the bag (wish the interior was of a contrasting color and perhaps had more in the way of organization), items tend to get lost in the main compartment, but it does look neater/tidier than the other colors I think. I think this bag is designed well for what it is - an extremely lightweight portable bag, it's just not exactly what I was looking for.

Light weight, and strong, this carry-all is a great idea to use when traveling. It comes in its own pouch, which is really the inside zip pouch, turned inside out. I had difficulty getting it out of its pouch, which probably means that putting it back will be a bigger problem. This bag was purchased to go on a trip. I wanted a bag with a strap that could be extended to cross over my body. This one does. It also has two deep zipped pouches, and an interior less deep zipped pouch. It looks as if it could hold quite a few items. There is no padding.

I love this bag, it is big enough to fit my school book/notebook/folder and have space for the normal items you would keep in your purse. The only thing I wish I could change would be to add some length to the strap. Even just an inch would help me out. I'm going to keep it because otherwise it is great, I do love it, I just wish it was a tap longer since I wear it cross body. The picture of the male model with the bag around his body is deceiving, strap is not that long. Oh, and the mesh strap is a little uncomfortable when wearing a tank top on bare skin, but not so much I wont use it, plus it is new so I'm sure it will soften up.

I loved the color. Size was good. It is very tight in the pouch. Hard to get out and put back in. Lots of wrinkles. Bag did not have enough structure. Too floppy for me.

This is a great bag! I have an older one and I like this one a lot more! As a warning it is a bit see through so be prepared for people to be able to see what is at least in your outside pockets. I love the better and thicker strap on it, the last one was mesh too but was very thin so dug into me a little bit if the back was packed to the brim. I like how the stretchy pockets on the sides have a bit more to them too. The older model was a bit flimsy and I was scared they would fall out when I placed the bag on the ground. Also I like how the front pocket is divided, I'm able to store things nicely in there, though again that part can be seen. I don't agree with another person that it is heavy with even a wallet in it. It barely weighs anything so of course any bag once you place something in it, it becomes heavier. I placed my Macbook 12" in case, apple mouse, external drive, Beats Headphones in pouch, chargers, pens, note pad, kindle, cleaning cloth and several other things in it and placed it across my body and it was very light to me. My other one would have felt a bit heavier because of the strap. I am not sure how well it could hold up in the rain, never went out in it, but might not go through if in a quick shower. There is a small zippered pocket on the inside, which is actually what you fold the bag into, and I like that for more private things. When I traveled with it, I liked it a lot too (I got the green one love the color) and I packed it tight and it held up great going on the plane as my personal bag. It had in it all that I listed above along with a scarf, kindle charger, pouch with external drive and more wires and cables and adapters. I also had a small purse in there with normal purse items. I also had my liquids in a ziplock until past the check point and a snack pouch. I still had some room and the bag was a tad heavy (and it does sag since no structure but I didn't mind) but not as bad as bags that are already heavy before anything was in them. When it is packed up it does take up a tad bit more room than the old model since a bit more heavy duty but if you place it in a tight space you can squish it pretty well. Over all I love my bag and can't wait to travel more with it!

Pay attention to the measurements, it's the size of a purse and not a tote. If you aren't looking for anything beyond daily hauling needs, it won't really disappoint. I'd like to think it will wear like a good Patagonia product. Might be a tad suspicious of the zippers that do seem to be average. As hot weather approaches the strap looks breathable and just the right length for cross-body effortless wearing. The fabric is light and since it is nylon, makes that crinkly sound. It's been unfurled for weeks and I've made timid attempts to get the wrinkles out...it's still bunched. However, if you are looking for something to stow away, it might go back into its little bag. I got the Underwater Blue, nice teal color.

I am really surprised how much I don't like this bag. I usually like Patagonia because of its ethics and the functionality of its products, but this bag falls flat on the latter. It's got no structure, which I understand is part of the trade-off for it being so lightweight. So I planned to use an 8.5 in. x 11 in file folder or a slightly larger portfolio in it to give it structure and allow me to carry a few work papers around without them getting crumpled. Not possible. The bag's simply not big enough for that. It also gets a bit heavy with just a wallet, day planner, and a makeup kit in it, and is a bit too casual looking for something I was hoping to take to the office every day. Plus, it's black inside in out, so everything gets jumbled up in this black hole of a bag, and it's hard to see where things are in it. If Patagonia were to make a slightly bigger version of this bag with a slash pocket on the back big enough for file folders/magazines, and a contract lining (red, hot pink, or coral would be great), I may buy that version. In the meantime, I'm returning this one.
