Felt great as soon as I put them on. And they also look as good. Haven't worn them through inclement weather yet, for which is why I bought them...I'll have to get back to you on that.

I've used these size 15M Columbia Peakfreak Nomad Plus shoes for 6 weeks now (everyday light-moderate duty). At this cost I think they're about 40% overpriced relative to their value. The best thing they have going for them is their appearance (cordovan/gypsy). The red sole side accents are attractive. The uppers feel cardboardy and are of thin construction. The tongue is essentially uncushioned. The removable innersole is totally flat, insubstantial, and contributes no arch support. The heel tab is so small it takes effort to fit a finger into it. The outsoles have a very busy pattern which traps and holds dirt and sand. They are not waterproof (though I accepted that fact because I did not like the looks of the waterproof version). These are poor - albeit mostly tolerable (for now) - replacements for waterproof Keen Siskiyou hikers purchased from Sierra Trading Post 2.5 years ago. This is my first Zappos purchase. Regrettably, this footwear reinforces my notions that Columbia should not be trusted for outstandingly designed products of superior value. With the reflection of writing this review, I decided to downgrade my "overall" rating for this product to two stars, but discovered that star ratings evidently cannot be reduced from what is initially assigned.
