I bought these shoes for an upcoming 3-week trek in Nepal after reading an article in Outside Magazine, the author of which highly recommended this shoe. I tried them out on a long hike this past weekend, and they fit like a glove! They are lightweight and super comfortable, but still provide adequate ankle support and have great traction. They feel like a favorite pair of slippers, and as a bonus they are super cute!

I was looking for either a lightweight hiking shoe or a more serious trail runner for a 3 day trek on Vancouver Island, so I bought 12 different styles of Gore-Tex trail runners and light hikers to evaluate. This is the pair that I ended up keeping. The Gore-Tex is breathable. The shoes have fantastic soles & traction, but are still relatively lightweight. If I want my ankle to be really mobile, I can loosen the top but still have protection from water all the way to my ankle. These can be tightened quite a bit to assist with stability when you want to really move quickly downhill with any kind of weight on your back. Hopefully the build quality is as good as it looks - I'll report back after my trek! I have a narrower foot and found these to be TTS - I'm a size 8 and kept the 8s.

These are lovely light hiking boots. But to get the correct sizing took a bit of patience. Initially ordered in 7 but too short. Then ordered in 7.5. Also too short and no real discernible difference in length between the 7 and 7.5. Wear a 7-7.5 in street shoes. Have a narrow foot and except for the length either of these smaller sizes would have worked. Have a 8 in Sportiva light trail shoes (love them as well) but had tried on a different Sportiva hiking boots at a local store and thought 7 was the size I needed in the hiking boot. Ended up with the 8 although there is probably too much room all round. But the length is finally good and can cinch up the boot to tighten it and wear thicker socks if needed. Haven't worn them except for short foothills hikes but don't think will need much to break them in. Plus they are so light and snazzy looking.

Shoes are gorgeous!!! Light weight. They have a narrow toe box and little toe protection. I am having to return them, unfortunately.
