To begin, these boots are awesome. Merrill and Keen better take note. They are very comfortable right out of the box! Very little break in time. Your heel fits snug into the heel pocket when laced, but do not over tighten laces. The only drawback, and this applies to all "waterproof" boots, is the fact that your feet will sweat under heavy load. Waterproof doesn't actually mean sweat is allowed out. These boots are great! Use caution when walking on slippery surfaces. These boots are ice skates. I am not sure if this is because of the different compounds used or design, but you will find yourself windmilling if not careful.

I was looking for a hiking boot that was a better fit than my Merrel Moab Vents. These fit the bill!! A small amount of break in time and they are all day comfort. I hike about 6 to 8 miles at a time on the weekends and these do fine in everything from mud to dust covered trails and rocks. Much more comfortable than my Merrels by far. Great boot, I never heard of this company before I tried on their boots but I'm sticking with them for now on. Thanks Oboz!!

I measure at at true 11 and I have a relatively square toe box. I initially ordered an 11 EE to accommodate, but they weren’t close to a fit. I returned then for an 11.5 EE which fits well. They have as good of an arch support as you will find. Flat footed people would need to change the inserts. They are very well constructed, and I imaging they will be up to any task. I rate them as good on initial comfort. I wouldn’t want them softer to start, because I believe long term durability and fit often results for off the shelf comfort. Ive been wearing them for a couple days wear on graded hard surfaces, and I suggest several days of break-in before taking then on the trail.

Unbelievable ‘out of the box’ experience. Had short notice of hike of Camelback Mountain. So I had to do what I have never done, wear boots right out of the box. We hiked from one side to the other without a blister or rub spot of any kind. Amazing boot and fix! Great job Oboz !!!

No break in necessary. Switched from Salomon to these and have zero regrets! Spent the weekend backpacking in the Adirondacks in mud, roots and lots of rocks and they worked great! Feet dry, not one blister or hot spot and never had to stop and adjust them or tighten them. Love the boots!

The Oboz Bridger are really great hiking boots. I little stiff at first, but just awesome in every way. However, I normally wear 12.5 or 13 at most for everything else, and needed a 14. They are also a bit narrow.

I have looked and looked for a pair of hiking boots that both feel good but also look good and finally these are the boots. The souls are stiff but not still fee very comfortable. I wear a size 14 D and these are the ticket for a bigger foot! Feel true to size and minimal break in, I wore them the first day for 8 hours and didn’t even notice my feet, which I think is a win win!

Nice quality, as always with Oboz. I was surprised that it was noticeably shorter than my other Oboz shoes. I've always worn 11.5 wide in Obox, and would clearly have to have a 12 in this model. The olive color was much less green and more tan than shown in the pictures (on all websites.)

This is my fifth pair of these I believe. First time in black. Best fitting shoe I've ever had. I wear mine every day of the year.

Not much to say; this is an outstanding hiking boot. Excellent arch and sole support, and excellent ankle support to prevent ankle rolls hiking rocky terrain. I already own a pair of Sawtooth's. Same exact fit in a heavier-duty boot.

I have been hiking in these about two weeks now. I am a female with long narrow feet . I can usually wear a women's boot in an 11. But have found Oboz's to run short in length . I really wanted this brand though and decided to give a mens size a try . I can't imagine an average mans foot would find these wide enough ... but worked out great for me ! I did have to replace the insoles with Georgie Boot Amps . But I pretty much always do this with my boots . I also replaced the shoe laces with flat ones , something I prefer when hiking . Overall though I am finding these boots to be very supportive on uneven terrain and waterproof enough to walk through streams that cover most of the boot . They are more rigid then the Vasque Boots I hike in all summer. But I am really starting to appreciate that for the added support when the foot is rolling sideways off rocks . I say buy these if you have narrow feet and I would size up 1/2 size .

My son said that these are super comfortable. I am hoping they last all year. He just wore out a pair of keens in 3 months. Let’s just say he walks ALOT! These boots look great.

This is a great boot wished I would have found them years ago. For the first week maybe 2 weeks after buying I was questioning if they were going to work out. These are full leather boots and have a noticeable break in time but they started a half size small after break in perfect super comfy and really sturdy waterproof works so don't expect to buy these boots the day before a long hiking trip but if you prep these boots a week or 2 prior you won't be disappointed. These boots have blown my expectations about hiking boots pair these with a good hiking gaiter and your feet will be the last thing your thinking about during a trip which is how it should be also I had bought a 150 pair of Moab 2 wp for my wife she liked them but the first time we had to walked through were grass my feet stayed dry as a bone hers however where soaked and it took 2 days for them to dry out they were returned immediately and guess who got a new pair of oboz just like me

The boots, once I settle my feet into them, fit fine. They have an usual lacing system that, I assume in the interest of stability, can clinch very tightly to the foot. That said, the lacing does not release easily and, when finally off, constricts the re-entry of my foot into the boot. As a result, trying to get them on with a thick sock is difficult. They have great grip on the trail and are very comfortable. Little break-in time required.

I like the boot, although it does run a bit small, next time I will go up a half. The only thing I do not like about the boot, is that it fells like there is absolutely no cushion at all in the heal. Like walking with bricks tied to my heal.

Order a half size up. I go through a lot of boots and am usually happy to get 6 months out of them. I was very impressed with these until the glue started to come apart.

I recently tried a number of pairs of hiking boots. Note, I’m not a serious hiker, but have been doing moderate hikes each weekend recently. Keen targhee III mid WP: These were my keepers. Very comfortable, sturdy, light. Wore them on a 4 hour moderate hike yesterday and was happy with them. Oboz Bridger BDRY: Comfortable, sturdy the heel is a bit weird but I would’ve gotten used to it in the end the back of the shoe seem like it might be too tight and would eventually rub too much against the back of my ankle. Solomon mid gtx: Comfortable, sturdy. I’m an in between size and ordered the lower size. There was a bit of tightness at the top of the foot that would probably been gone with a half size larger. Merrell Moab 2 Prime Mid Waterproof: These I ordered in the higher size and also in a wide. They were just too big. But they might have been the most comfortable. The Keens worked out for me otherwise I would have given these a try in a better size. Solomon low ultra 3 wide gtx: Comfortable but I realized I ultimately wanted a mid rise. The pull laces seemed iffy but the reviews don’t seem to indicate a problem. Solomon low X Raise Gtx: Felt a little snug putting them on, but once on they felt comfortable. I realized I ultimately wanted a mid rise. Again, the pull laces seemed iffy but the reviews don’t seem to indicate a problem.

I've been wearing Oboz trail shoes for a while now. I bought these for a more supportive hiking boot. Fits like an 8.5 and feels more narrow than my regular Oboz shoes.

Fit feeling is very subjective. I tried on four brands. It turned out that the Oboz fit best. Price was not a guideline for me. In practice these hikers leave enough room for a woolen sock and sock liner.

Back for seconds! Great grip on sloped ledge. Kept feet dry on rock hoping and muddy sections. Hiked 20 miles so far with no blisters.

This are the best hiking boots I've ever had. I needed the extra wide ones which they need to start selling here.
