Best simple boots for skinny calves! Not too edgy, not to preppy, the perfect shape from all angles. If you're looking for a basic boot that's comfy and well made, this is the one.

I have finally found some boots that fit my slender calves! I am a size 8 with a 13 inch calf circumference. I think they would also work for a bigger calf since they have the stretchy panel in back. The remarkable thing about these boots is how lightweight and flexible they are. The leather is very soft and supple and the soles are made of a very lightweight rubber. They feel fabulous and comfortable with a slightly rounded toe. This grey color is somewhere between a grey and a taupe. My only criticism of them is that the foot bed is not as thick or cushioned as some other comfort shoe brands. I am comparing them to some Clark's that I tried on. I think that can be remedied with an insole. Also, they have a removable insole for those who want to put in an arch support. Very beautiful and well made boots overall with a cute style.

These shoes are very comfortable. If you have skinny calves these are the boots for you. Also they have a plush lining in them to keep you extra warm. They are not stiff either.

Love these boots right out of the box! They're true to size, and so comfortable, like all my Reiker shoes. They are a bit snug around my athletic calf, so I'm not sure I'll be able to tuck any kind of pant into them. (They stretch, due to the goring on the back, but snap back tightly against the calf.) But I have other boots for that. These are perfect for when you need to be stylish but also have to be on your feet all day; they go well with both skirts and pants. I also love the sole, as it's very sturdy, unlike my Frye riding boots, which are terrible on any kind of slick surface.

I quite like these boots, they're comfy and very cute. The shaft is quite snug (I ordered a size 10), but I do have wider calves (about 15 in.). I got these off Zappos because they refunded me in full on a pair of boots that broke a few days after the warranty was up -- I was really touched by this and I will be sure to shop here again! Good job, Zappos!

I love the style of these boots - the wood look lug heel, the buckle, and the leather is super soft and not stiff like some others I've tried. BUT these are very very tight across my instep.

Beautiful leather, well designed boot. I loved the two zippers (one for show, one for function). The back stretch panel makes the boots really snug but still comfortable over skinny jeans. The toes were a little tight and the inside zipper on the right boot hurt my ankle so I'm returning. But they are lovely boots.

I got these boots hoping to replace my current black leather, waterproof, everyday boots which are completely worn out after eight years of winter use in a mild, southeastern climate. My current boots are mid-calf and fit snuggly. Being European, I am very familiar with Rieker’s reputation in Europe for quality and comfort, so I thought these boots would be well worth the price of $185. I was also hoping for a narrower fit around the calf, which I knew I would need. I ordered size 40 and it was a great fit (my US size is 8.5 or 9 depending on a brand). As far as comfort and quality, Elaine boot did not disappoint. These boots are made in Vietnam and are well constructed, and the leather is of decent quality. The toe box is more almond shape than round, but very comfortable. The front of the boot shaft is lined with fabric that seems nice and toasty. There is no arch support to speak of, but the heel helps create a comfortable foot angle. However, for me (5’9”, 130 lbs), these boots were way too wide. My calf circumference is 13.5” at the widest point, and about 12.5” just below the knee. I had about 1” of space at the top of the boot left, and the stretchy part of the boot shaft did not even come into play - not the look I wanted. These boots will be going back, and I will continue to look for that perfect pair. Hope this review helps you find the boots that are right for you.

Fit great and super comfortable. Unfortunately they gap around the ankle in the front which I really don't like. Back they go.

Well first off zappos sent me a used pair missing the removable footbed in an unmarked box! Couldn't believe it. Now I have to reorder a pair and hopefully they won't come used. Disappointed

Very cute styling, nice leather and well made, but too snug in the calf and I was looking for a looser style (a little gap at the top). Love Riekers - wore out my previous pair and thought these would be perfect but they're going back. Shout out to Zappos for their amazing service!!

I got the reddish (chianti) boots and they are gorgeous! The fit of the shoe is nearly perfect; the only thing I would change is the 'height' of the sole/bottom of shoe to the top of the toebox could be a little more roomy/higher space. I don't know why shoe designers do not think of this. The 'width' of the toebox is otherwise pretty much okay (and a nice change from other boots that squish our toes!) Wear socks for a couple of days to prevent rubbing, but overall the break-in process was fairly easy. It was rubbing on one of my ankle-bones but with socks and a small piece of moleskin, it is fine. I am having a hard time finding shoes so it was pretty much a miracle to find these; they fit almost perfectly and are overall comfortable. I appreciate the low heel and rubber sole. The shoe construction is very sturdy, which I also greatly appreciate, yet they are very stylish and look incredible. Just a stunning, original shoe. I can wear them over skinny jean or under regular jeans just fine. Note that the functional zipper on the Inside (the zipper on the outer part of the shoe is for fashion only; just so as not to ruin the shoe trying to get it open). The reason why I am giving this four stars is that, as well as the fit is, and as gorgeous as the color and style is, these boots really are overpriced. I feel they should be closer to $125-$150. Sizing wise, if it helps others, I normally wear a 6 in boots and I got the 37.

I have skinny calves and these were perfect. It's taken me forever to find a pair that weren't too wide or loose. Comfortable. I'd like a little more cushion inside and have had softer leather but these are good.

These were too small for my calf.

Great color (Chianti) and good comfort, though there is not any arch support. Fit snug to my slimmer calves. There is some stretch built in but not sure if these would work for those with bigger calves.

These boots are really cute and I wanted to love them but the shaft was just too wide on my skinny calf. Very few boots actually hug my calf properly so its not so surprising. The footbed was very comfortable though.

I'm normally a size 7.5-8. I ordered the size 8. It's too small. It's a very good looking boot.

I did not like the look of the leather. They fit great around my very skinny calves though.

My feet are in normal range - not too wide, not too narrow either. And I have skinny calves. I was excited when I saw them online, but they are a little disappointment - I LOVE the fact they hug my calves. For most people, they may be a little too tight although stretchable back can give a little. But the they seem a little tight around my feet. Have to send back.

These are a mixed bag. First, they are NOT Reiker, as other reviews mention. They are the sister company "Remonte". You can clearly see the brand on the image of the bottom of the boot and they arrive in a Remonte box. I found the quality to be good but not outstanding. The shaft and its details are well made, but the stacked heel and toe leather looks a little cheaper. Also, my boots were sticky where the sole meets the boot, as if the glue had never really dried. I usually wear a 7 - 7.5, and the "38" just barely fit with my thinnest socks. The calf was snug, but it has some stretch and was not uncomfortable. I would have considered keeping these if they were "cheap boots", but for the price I didn't think they were worth it.

The brand name I received was not Rieker, but Remonte. Disappointing, as I have had success with Rieker in the past. I would rather pay a little more for guaranteed quality. The quality just wasn't there.

The foot part of this boot fit, but shaft was too tight on the calf. Also, for almost $200 I expected a more substantial material. I couldn't even tell if it was real leather or not. Really cute style and color, but not a winner in my book.

When I opened these boots I was in love! But after walking around in them I found them to be surprisingly uncomfortable. They seem to be the right size but have a completely flat insole and maybe that is the problem. No way could I wear these walking. I am sad because I love the look of them.
