These are sharp looking shoes but even more important they are comfortable and supportive. The toe box leaves merciful wiggle room. The footbed is cushioned enough to reduce impact while still making you feel secure and stable. The shoes seem durable which may be why the collar felt a bit firm at first but it softened up pretty quickly. Brooks offers the most dependable shoes in this type and the Transcend 2 is probably the best of several I have. Would definitely buy another color if offered in my size. Of course Zappos is a rock star.

I've been using Brooks running shoes now for about 2 years. The Transcend 2 shoes have been great so far. My feet do not hurt after jogging because they offer great support. Would definitely recommend!

Switched to this brand and style from Asics Gel Nimbus 16 because my runs were increasingly resulting in stiffness, soreness, and foot pain. A former personal trainer suggested Brooks, and a quick questionnaire off its website suggested that the Transcend 2 were the ones for me. On my first run with the new pair, I ran nearly a minute faster. I worried that my right knee was acting twitchy but the next day, my body felt fine--no stiffness or problem areas to complain of. The color is a bit bright for my taste--but who cares? I need cushion, support, and stability without sacrificing on lightness, and these deliver. Very happy with the purchase, although I do hope that Brooks might do better in their color selection going forward.

This shoe is by all means the best Brook's has on the market. Enough toe room and the base of the shoe is awesome. The base of the shoe gives much needed support when you foot lands.

Like another reviewer, I have also been looking for a replacement for my previous favorite, the Brooks Trance. At first I thought the Adrenaline GTS was the ticket, but unfortunately I cannot get farther than three miles or so without my toes getting bruised. I had avoided these at first due to the price, but out of desperation I decided to try them anyway, and oh my goodness they are worth every penny! I wear my usual Brooks size and they are perfect - like running on a cloud. The orange/purple color is really sharp in person, too.

Fit just as expected....same size as my other brands of shoes (except Nike). Soft and comfy and have helped with plantar fasciitis. Feet don't hurt as much during or after a long run or walk. Orange/purple is a neat color.

I'm an avid runner, 35-40 miles per week. I have tried just about every brand and distance shoe since I'm training for an ultra. I ran 11 miles out of the box. They felt stiff considering nowadays most shoes are great right out of the box. They started to break in quickly and I like these much better than the 1st version Transcend. The toe box is wider and the shape isn't as odd which is great! Good support, slightly firmer cushioning (and plenty of it) and my mid/high arch is supported. No need for orthotics in my case. I run in Ravenna's for shorter runs and these are great long run shoe to add to my rotation. I read some reviews that said size up from your normal Brooks size but I didn't find that necessary. I'm the same size in Adrenaline, Ravenna, and Glycerins - now the Transcend 2 which will be my ultra race shoe.

I took a quiz online to find out what Brooks shoe would be best for me. The quiz absolutely nailed it! These shoes fit and feel perfect on my feet. They are by far, the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I searched multiple sites online to purchase them and found them at Zappos for the best price. Bravo!

I was so disappointed when Brooks discontinued the Trance as I had worn it for years. I had not tried the Transcend when it first came out, but the Transcend 2 feels very similar to the Trance 10 which I really liked. I used to need a wide width but it is not made in the Transcend. BUT...the regular width is plenty wide. I was amazed and happy. The Transcend 2 is my new shoe. I love it.

Saucony Omni 13 is good. But I like the Transcend 2 better.

I am constantly looking for shoes that allow enough room for my funny toes and support my arch. I used to wear only new balance, but have been consistently disappointed by them the last few pairs. Transcend 2 has proved to be a great shoe for me. Enough room in the toe box, great arch support and stability. No heel pain. I am ordering another pair because I wear these shoes everyday, all day! Also love the colors-so tired of white.

My first pair of Brooks and without a doubt the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. Pricey? Who can put a price on comfort. well worth the money. I always bought Asics but am converting to Brooks from now on.

This shoe fits my needs for a supportive shoe with a flat last in which I am able to use my orthotics. They are also stylish and I have gotten many, many compliments on these shoes--a HUGE improvement on the older versions of this shoe where no one would have EVER thought of complimenting me. I was originally fitted with this shoe at a running shoe store and found that it is necessary to buy them a 1/2 size up so that they are wide enough for my foot. All I can say is "Keep making them Brooks!"

I just purchased Brooks Transcend 2 and have worn them only once, but that was all day. They are very comfortable as well as very sharp looking, but quite expensive.

It took a couple weeks to break them in a bit due to being flat footed, but I expect that with new shoes. I absolutely love these shoes. They are the best Brooks I've had so far and worth every penny. I only wish they offered more diverse color options.

These shoes were a perfect fit. I wear orthotics for over pronation & the combination works great for me. Very comfortable. I don't like any of the colors.

These are one of the most comfortable pairs of tennis shoes I've owned. I have a heel spur and plantar fasciitis and with the help of an orthotic, these shoes are great for my daily morning walks. I highly recommend them.

Price is ridiculous. That said, the shoe is soft and supportive and appears to help with overpronation. Very cute styling. Seems of good quality. Cushiony sole without giving that 'bounce' feeling. I am usually 12.5-13M and the 13M fits me perfectly.

I bought these shoes on the strength of the other reviews. I've been battling plantar fasciitis and, while I'm not sure these shoes will cure it, I did a quick 2.5 miles this morning and they provided good cushioning and support during the run and my foot pain was no worse after. The arch could be a bit higher, but I might try an insert there. Too soon to tell if these are my new everyday runners, but I like what I've seen so far.

I searched high and low for a shoe that I thought might be a good replacement for my favorite Brooks Trance shoes, and settled on this one even though they seemed a little pricey. However, I was swayed by the purple to orange fade design (I know that isn't why you are supposed to buy running shoes!), but I figured if I didn't enjoy them I would send them back. On the first outing I noticed that they are heavier than the Trance shoes, but after a run or two I adjusted and now I really enjoy these shoes. If my shoes don't fit correctly I have knee pain, and I am feeling great so far using these. I would recommend them.

This shoe provides a lot of cushion, but it is too clunky for my taste. Also, the foot bed is wide enough, but the top panels squishes your toes and hurt my bunion and plantar fasciitis. Not for me.

A little about me: wide(er) feet, been running for over 15 years, extremely active, have owned and enjoyed minimalist shoes in past. Asics Kayanos used to be my "go-to" for 6-7 years, but decided to venture out and try Brooks Adrenaline GTS13 a couple of years ago. I was very happy with the Adrenaline GTS13 (other than getting holes in the mesh on both shoes...was surprised how they started to break down), but thought I'd try the Transcend2 this year! They're comfortable, but they definitely feel clunkier and heavier than the Kayanos or GTS. I have found myself scuffing and kind of tripping while walking because they're so much clunkier than other shoes. I have to remind myself to lift up my feet more than usual. I'll probably go back to Kayanos or Adrenaline GTS shoes in the future.

I have plantar fasciitis, flat feet and a bunion on my left foot. These have excellent cushion for the heels, an okay arch but the reason I'll send them back is the decorative ribbon that rubs on my bunion. The toe box is a little narrow so the ribbon constantly rubs.

As far as looks go, they look like old lady shoes no offense intended. The bright colors help counteract that look. They are flat all the way across the bottom and when you are looking down on them, they are wide all the way across instead of the sole cutting inward at the arch. As far as the feel goes: I did not have the same experience as the other reviews that I read. The mesh on top was not soft and so it rubbed the top of my foot uncomfortably where it bends. also, rather than the sole bending to your foot, your foot more or less just bends inside of the shoe. I did not feel like the sole gave way much at all. I did not find them at the comfort level I expected to when paying so much money. I am still having trouble finding shoes that fit me comfortably. The Brooks adrenaline GTS 14 were the best fit for me. This will be the third pair of brooks I have returned since trying to find comfortable stability shoes since the 14.

I received these and found the color too bold for me. But I do love Brooks! So these are returned for appearance, simply because of personal taste.
