Love these boots. I bought a size 10. I wear a 10 on one foot and a 10 1/2 on the other. So the fact that they run a little bit longer is great for me. I have a narrow foot and ankle. The laces allow me to tighten them up so they feel supportive all the way around my foot and ankle. I can wear them with my skinny jeans inside or outside these boots. If you're looking for other ankle boots, the Khombu - Gina fit well too with a bit more style (side buckle and a heel.) If you want real leather, these were great: Romika-Citylight, MizMooz- Bennie, Rieker-Louise. I had a really tough time deciding between them all.
I'd also recommend:

I really liked these boots when they arrived, and they're comfortable. Unfortunately, after just a month or so of average wear, they've started to fall apart. The sole of one shoe has started to separate from the body of the shoe. They're on the inexpensive end, but I expected them to last longer.

These are very cute boots for year round wear. They are definitely more fashion geared than functional so they are a bit lacking in arch support. You could put an insole or orthotic in but should order one size larger or so to accommodate. If you are looking for an occasional wear or moderate walking wear, this boot is fine on its own and true to size.

My daughter loves them. She's 13 and in middle school where what you wear seems to matter a lot. And she is totally pleased and proud to wear these nearly everyday since she got them about a month ago. They are sturdy, and have virtually no scuff marks on them even with hard wear and winter weather.

I needed a pair of brown casual boots, and these are perfect. Super cute and fit my narrow ankle pretty well. When my 14 year old daughter saw them, she insisted on a pair in black for her. Ordered them today!

These boots are perfect for fall/winter! They are unbearably cute, and cozy with the flannel lining. Perfect with tights, or to wear with skinny jeans - under or over. The color is a chocolate brown, which looks nice with just about everything. I was a bit worried that they might look too 'heavy duty,' but they're pretty perfect for trekking around the city in light snow. Very comfortable - they didn't take any time to break in!

I was initially a bit skeptical about these boots because the material seemed somewhat stiff and cheap looking when they first arrived. Also, Zappos seemed to be semi-permanently out of my regular size (6.5) in the brown, so I ended up getting a half-size up hoping it would work out.
The 7 actually ended up fitting just fine. They are maybe a little looser than I would like, but they’re winter boots so either I deal with it or wear a thicker pair of socks and then they fit just perfectly. The texture of the outside material has also improved markedly as I’ve continued to wear it. I think they just need a little time to break in.
Now, the reason I love these boots so much:
When they arrived I noticed that on the tag it said the soles were temperature insulated (which I don’t think is noted on the website). Since I go to college in southern Michigan, this thrilled me, but I also had a little trouble believing a claim like that on boots like these. I actually bought these boots back in November, but have waited all this time to write a review because I wanted to see how they would hold up once the ice and slush and salt of Real Winter hit.
Now that it has,* I can say that, while they may look somewhat unassuming, THESE BOOTS ARE WARM. TOASTY WARM. WONDERFULLY, GLORIOUSLY, MIRACULOUSLY WARM. In my other pairs of “fashion” boots I can feel the cold of the snow coming through the bottom, not so in these lovely things. Besides how warm they are, the outside material seems to be bearing the rough usage of slogging through snow, salt, sand, and ice every day remarkably well. There are no leaks at all and they don’t seem to be damaged or even hardly marked by the salt. Other perks: the plaid on the inside is FUZZY and, while the tread on the bottom is pretty grippy by itself, my Yaktrax fit perfectly over these and do not seem to have damaged or scuffed the boots in any way.
*We got 16 inches of snow this week and this morning when I left my house (wearing my Mallory boots btw) it was -2 degrees. I waded through hip-deep snow to get to the street and then the street itself looked like it has been covered in the thickest, nastiest Frappuccino you ever saw. My nose almost froze shut about five times before I got to class. At least my feet were happy :)

Too small, with a narrow toe area. I usually wear a 9, but the 9 was very snug. It seemed warm, though, with the fleece lining. It does have a sort of cheap look, but I think that's clear in the pictures.
