I love Vans and I've owned many different styles, including several Old Skool styles. I loved these--the black/true white--out of the box: great fit (just like Old Skool Pros and regular Old Skools) and great style. After a few wears, though, I noticed obvious spots on the "Scotchgard" suede. I took them to the Vans store and the manager showed me how to clean the suede. Since then, I've had to clean the suede after every single wear. The Scotchgard shows water spots and any other incidental dirt--it's not a good look. Although they're meant for winter weather, I feel like I can only wear them in the best weather conditions. So I rarely wear them. Disappointing. I'd say stay away from the Scotchgard. Otherwise, great shoe, I guess.

These are stylin’ shoes! This is my first pain of Vans, and I absolutely love them. The fit is great, and they are so comfortable to wear walking downtown. The gray suede matches almost anything I wear. I’ve received many comments on how cute these shoes are, and how stylish. The extra insulation that comes with these Vans are a must for me here in Wisconsin, and have proven to keep my feet warm in our 30 degree weather. I am very happy with this purchase.

GREAT MATERIAL!! Tough and you can tell it's ready for the weather. Only advice is order half size larger due to this tough material isn't as forgiving as Suede or canvas.

These have been surprisingly comfortable. I have had bad luck with Vans before, but this pair is working well for me. They are comfortable. They have been pretty good for warmth on cold days, but not as insulated as I had hoped for New England weather. Definitely I better alternative to canvas shoes this time of year.

Just as advertised. Look great. I like the year in the soles. Felt true to size.

Very comfortable and great traditional Vans Style. They are warmer than the core classics, and the traction sole is nice and keeps your feet off the ground a bit more which will help when you are standing around those winter snowy bonfires. As with all Vans, they run half a size large. So buy a half size smaller than you normally wear.

This is basically a rubber shoe. Nice cozy fleece like material inside. However, for my primary shoe, I do not want a rubber shoe at this cost. I am returning. If you have multiple shoes like this one in your collection this would be a nice addition. not for me though.

Tough shoe and comfortable for the most part. I bought the navy Tech Tuff in Dress Blue and the inner lining of fleece helps keep your feet warm in cold or rainy weather but that lining makes it tighter for your feet. So if you order a Tech Tuff version of this shoe (the last two in the photos above). then I would order a half a size larger than you normally wear. Overall, I'm very pleased with the toughness and conformability of this shoe.

Clunky for a women. I liked the idea of this shoe, but they didn't quite work. They're clunky and have no arch support. sending them back.
