These are the Classic style (do not have the under toe 'bump' for better toe grip) vs the "Original" which does.

Pretty stylish, very comfortable. The sole color is fading after less than a month though.

Women's Classic Sandal Select a rating below Your review It's been a very long time since I had a pair of Dr. Scholl's so I was surprised by the price hike. Although, it could, certainly, have been much, much higher! Somewhere in the ensuing years the toe-grip ridge in the sole was lost and I was looking forward to that for the purpose of strengthening my feet. Oh, well! They still feel good and I am hoping they will help, anyway. I still have faith. Quality insights are 2-3 sentences long. Review title Good purchase! I loved the shoes I thought they would be wood like the originals but these new ones are amazingly comfortable.

It is a real disservice to your customers not telling them in the description that it's a Velcro closure and the buckle is just decorative. Hopefully, the Velcro will hold up. Time will tell.

I remember my Mom wore these in the 70?s and I always loved them. I really like these shoes. In fact, I ordered a pair for my Aunt for Mother?s Day and one for myself. They are way more comfy than the originals because the cushion sole flexes with your foot and they are not noisy when you walk. I like the Velcro strap too. The one complaint I have is after 2 weeks of wear, once to the pool where they got slightly wet from kids splashing, the footbed shows discoloration and fading. So I would recommend not wearing these if it?s going to rain or if you?re going to the pool. Sizing: I usually wear 8.5-9 and ordered the size 8, which fits fine.

These are not the original version, which is implied in the name. I knew the sole is rubber and the price is half of the classic wood sole version. I bought both for my summer romping. These are great for the cheaper pair you can kick around at the beach and so forth and then enjoy the wood sole version on more "civilized," days. The velcro was a surprise, not in love with that change, but they function and look about the same. (Bring back the buckle!)

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I own. I do not like the Velcro, but the white goes with EVERYTHING! I have gotten a lot of compliments on them as well. You do have to walk with these as if you're wearing flip-flops since there is no back strap, but that doesn't bother me.

I've been wearing Dr. Scholl's sandals since the 70's when you could buy them in your local drug store. I miss the wooden sole and toe grip, (and the lower price) but I refuse to give them up! I buy a few pairs every year, but this is the first time I bought a pair with velcro and the faux buckle. I wasn't sure what to expect and honestly I expected the worst, but I'm so pleasantly surprised! So far the velcro has held really well, and they're much more comfortable and well constructed than I thought they'd be. I'll see how this pair wears before buying more of this type, but so far so good!

The footbed is unusually comfortable, like a memory foam but still solid. I really like the Velcro closure, makes for more comfortable adjustments. Since I can no longer wear the wooden shoe, (arthritis), these are a welcome answer. I'm not sure how long the plastic buckle will last, I'll just have to wait and see.

What the description does not say is that the sandal is secured by velcro above toes, not by fastener I see this not lasting or staying on your feet

I must be older than I thought, if Rubber Soled Dr Scholls are now 'classic'! I prefer the wood, theses are too heavy for me

I just rec these and they're very comfortable due to the rubberized base. Thanks goodness also they're ajustable with Velcro tan under the buckle, I was able to adjust them enough not to slip out as I walked. These are definitely more made for wider feet.

Disappointed...These are not the same ones I grew up with. so many original features missing, although if you never had a pair of the original Dr. Scholl's these will do.

Nothing like the original Dr.Scholl's. The sole is now made of man made material instead of wooden and the strap across the the top is no longer made of leather . The orthopedic little bump under the toes has also been removed.

Just received my shipment. When I bought it read classic sandal. Was not sure what the difference was compared to the original. Now I know. I bought both original and classic. Original is original as it is made of wood and has the real buckle as was many years ago. The classic is made of some kind of rubber. As I tried it on I feel it sinking. That means after I start wearing it , it is going loose it's firm shape and look sloppy. In addition, the buckle is fake, as the strap is held in place with Velcro. The price of the classic is far less than the original. I did not get what I paid for in the original clog. It is a lot of money for a sandal.

They're really cute but, they aren't as comfortable as the original which I loved and wore thru the 70s and 80s.

; I wear these all the time at home-this is my 6 th pair, but for the first time the straps are very stiff and they dig into the sides of my feet . Very uncomfortable and sadly unwearable. Hopefully this was a one-off and not due permanent design/material change .

These were very comfortable and I liked them. The foamy feel of the faux wood was nice because I have tile throughout my house. The downsides were that after only a month of wear, the "nails" that hold in the leather upper were coming out. I didn't want to return, so I glued them back in. Not something you think you'd have to do with Dr. Scholls. They looked terrible after about 3 months of wear (and I only wear them inside my house). Will not be buying agin. I hope that Dr. Scholls will start making shoes to the same quality that they used to...its been a big disapointment. I've been wearing these shoes since I was 5 yrs old.

shoes were very comfortable however they run small. I am always a size 7 and these were too small by 1/2 inch. Additionally, the buckle is for show only, as the strap is velcro.

I have had the original shoe since i was a child, and I've looooved them. I wanted to try this sole to use as my "house shoe", because i have tile floors. The shoe is comfortable but doesn't fit as well. The "nails" that hold the strap in have fallen out several times and I ended up having to super glue them in. I kept them, but I think that they need to re think some things in the design.

Are these the wooden shoe or the soft rock sandal that doesn't wear down like the wooden one?
