I recently spent a small fortune on L'Artiste shoes including 3 of this style - this orange, the black/red and the teal/olive. All 3 are consistent in the sizing for an average 7/12 med. width shoe. I spent these big dollars because I recently, in less than 10 months, had 7 surgeries including 2 new hips, knees, 2 hands and one foot all due to severe arthritis. My feet are average except maybe for the fact my 2nd toe is longer that the big toe, so toe room is important for me. At age 66 and considering myself to be a bit of a fashionista, I splurged on shoes because I CAN finally, after 25 years of not being able to wear heels due to the arthritis, wear an attractive relatively small heel! While these don't have the arch support or comfort of Dansko or Ariat flat shoes or sneakers, they are surprisingly comfortable for a fashion shoe. The heel height feels similar to cowgirl boots, (although a different shape) of which I also have several pair. I disagree with some of the negative comments: I don't think the leather is cheap looking or cheap leather. While I agree that some of the dye work is a bit inconsistent, (very minor), I know that on raw edges of leather, which these shoes have, the dyes can be absorbed differently. I just chalk it up to the charm of these creative classy shoes because these imperfections are nearly imperceptible. I intend to wear these more in the fall, but did do a test day in my first pair about 2 weeks ago going to my surgeon's office for my annual new joints eval. I lasted all day in these shoes! Absolutely amazing and while not extra roomy, there was plenty of toe room and clearance. Was I ready to get out of them after 8 hours, yes, but it's unlikely I would ever really need them on for such a long time. the heels are low enough to not aggravate my new body and high enough for lovely style.

All of the 8 pairs of Spring Step shoes I ordered I had to return. They were not shoes; they were SCULPTURE. Completely inflexible, hard, poorly made, missing parts, bad dye job, and extremely stiff and uncomfortable. I returned them all. Your foot should be the arch support, not the shoe. If a shoe holds the foot motionless, then it atrophies, because the muscles, bones, and joints are not used.

I love these shoes. I usually have a difficult time walking in heels, but the way the heel is set on the shoe, I am very comfortable. Glad I ordered them.

These leather shoe boots are beautiful and comfortable. Don't buy them, I want to be the only one to be wearing them. I can't say enough great things about them. Love, love, love them and bought them in Tea/Turquoise, Black multi and Brown.I have all 3 colors!!!!

I love these shoes! With jeans they look like boots, and adorable with a skirt, too, classy, comfortable, easy to put on, and not too high to walk in.

These shoes are gorgeous. I got them within two days of placing my order (free shipping with the app!) and they came in individual little bags, inside the shoe box. The colors are beautiful - black, fawn, a distressed-looking red. They go with everything and are actually comfortable! I'm pretty picky about heels (I have high arches, wide toes, narrow heels, sensitive feet - and I teach yoga, so my feet don't like heels) and these were easy to wear with bare feet. The closure is velcro, and they didn't rub my heels or ankles, which is my usual worry. You really do get what you pay for. I usually wouldn't spend this much on shoes that aren't for the gym, but these are fantastic. I wore them to church this morning and was mobbed by people asking about them. Truly an attention getting wardrobe piece. Don't bother wearing interesting clothes or jewelry. These shoes say it all.

This was the cutest shoe, but I felt like Cinderella's wicked stepsister trying to push my foot into it. I ordered my regular 8.5 and the next size is unavailable. Zappos customer service is tops, though!

The fit is fantastic (I have wide feet, and ordered my normal size - no problem). They are quite solid - no 'sagging' or weak sole. The black strap is adjustable, and secures with Velcro. I have a high instep, and that matters. These are the absolute coolest shoes I own. I love them!

I love this style! Good craftsmanship, perfect heel height to look good and be comfortable. The heel runs wide - mine kept slipping out, so I had to size down. I had to return to size down (I am usually a 7½-8) but ended up with a 37. They take some time to break in and I find that when I put them on in the morning they are uncomfortable; about a minute later they have softened and are totally comfortable for the rest of the day. Great brand - I am looking forward to getting more styles!

The Spring Step line by L'Artiste are now my favorite shoes! This shoe is beautiful!!! Comfortable, easy to stride in for a heel, and with an excellent grippy bottom. The price is really fair, and they come nicely wrapped in the box. If you like compliments you'll totally go for this brand!

These shoes are even better in person! Colors are true as shown in photo. Love them! I do wish there was more of an arch support but they are too cute to pass up. I did get the in 1/2 size bigger. I am consistently a size 8 but had to order the size 39 which is an 8.5 because the toes felt tight.

I love these shoes. I ordered my usual 39 and if I had been wearing them during the summer with very light or no sox great but as they will be worn with warmer sox I opted for the 40. Comfortable right out of the box.

These are just so stinking cute. I get noticed every time I put them on. And comfy for a high heeled shoe.

The most comfortable pair of heels I have ever worn. I often have grouchy feet but not in these shoes. They are beautiful too. A winning pair.

The wife loves these shoes, she's a Spring Step fan begin with and these really pop. Very comfortable, though the sizing with Spring Step can sometimes be an issue. She has shoes in 35, 36 & 37 all of which fit well.

These booties are absolutely awesome! I had been looking for a green boot for a couple of years and this multi-color blue/green fills the bill. So comfortable too. A perfect fit and wore it doing NYC the second day of wear. Wondrous, indeed!

Great shoe. Colors are better in person. Very comfortable from the get-go. Have received lots of compliments on these shoes as they are different looking than the usual.

Beautiful shoes and well made but there was a strong chemical odor to the shoes (leather treatment?). I had to put the shoes in a separate room for 10 days for them to "off gas." I then was able to try them on and hey were more snug that I was hoping. The size is supposed go up to the half size but the shoe is cut smaller than expected.

SO CUTE! Love the blue, hard to find this color of blue in shoes. It does Velcro where the button is which you can loosen the party by the top of your foot. HOWEVER, as others have said the ball of your foot needs to be more narrow to be comfortable. I wear a 7.5/8-normal width. I ordered a 39 (8.5) so I could wear with socks, however its VERY narrow at the bed. Without socks its tight at the ball of the foot because of the witch type toe. Its more narrow than shown. I will try ordering the 40, but worried it will be too long.

These are funky and very cute. I love the quirky look. They are a little stiff, but I hope that they will get broken in. I wear a 9 to 9½ (usually, a 9½) I ordered the 9 and they fit fine. 9½ would have been much too big.

So Spring Step is my new most favorite brand the shoes are beautifully made. This shoe, well, it's more green than turquoise and the "stitching" is purple. The strap has a velcro closure and the velcro is a weird brown color. Now at this point you might expect me to send it back, but this is a fun, colorful show and the colors are vibrant. So these are my funky keepers!

These are very cute shoes that can be worn for casual or dress-up depending on the slacks, skirts, etc. They do seem to be a little larger than normal and slip in the heel. I have to wear them with a thicker pair of tights or socks but I will keep them because they are unique!
