I love these boots. They're beautiful, have a unique design, the leather has beautiful treatment and go with pretty much any outfit. They also seem extremely well made. Comfort-wise, my left boot fit perfectly from the start, while the right one is taking a few weeks to break in, though it's getting better. I also love Oliberté's approach. While I avoid buying leather goods as much as possible, the way they make their products made me confident this would be an ethical purchase.

These are fantastic boots! They're well made and have a sort of unique design, I get compliments on them all the time, they definitely get noticed. I was worried about the sole, I do a lot of walking and spend loads of time on my feet and I thought the ridges on the sole would wear down quickly. That could still happen but I've had these 3 months and there's no noticeable change to the sole or any other part of the boot. I will say the sole isn't as lightly colored as in the picture and the boots aren't as sleek as they look the way they're pictured, in fact they're a bit wide, but these are minor differences and I'm very happy with this purchase. The boots are super comfortable, not stiff, no blisters or anything like that, good walking boots. Sometimes shoes are just there, hanging out on your feet, but other times certain shoes make you feel like you have an edge, these are those kinds of shoes. Well made and attractive.

They're pretty wide boots so they may be kind of clunky on a super thin guy. Maybe not, who knows. I'm a stocky dude so they're right up my alley as I look weird in super narrow boots. Haha But they're very well made and I'm very happy with them. They're extremely unique down to the odd blueish/grey color. But yea man, if you're looking for some killer boots that will look good with pretty much everything, these are probably the ticket. When you pick them up, you feel ok with what you paid for them.

These shoes are really cool and surprisingly comfortable. With that being said, do not order a size down! I had ordered Nabokos one size small as suggested and had to give to my little brother because they don't fit. I ordered these in EU 46 which is technically a US 13 but they fit my size 12 feet perfectly. Plus, since they're mainly cold weather boots any extra room you get works well with thick socks. Overall a real cool and unique boot that goes well with about anything except would not wear with a tie or anything too formal.

Boots are awesome. Would like to see other colors. The brown was a weird brown and they didn't use white stitching so hubby didn't like the brown ones but the gray ones are a gray/blue and the contrast stitching was amazing. Made in Africa was a big reason we gave them a try. LOVE THEM!

I had been shopping for boots for over a year when I finally decided to buy these. I could not be more happy with the purchase. Excellent quality, good price, great company values. I wear them every day and they get more comfortable with each wear. I usually wear an 8.5-9. I ordered an 8 and they fit perfect.

I purchased these boots and wasn't too sure what to expect The color is more of a blue grey than a dark grey as they appear in photos. They have the typical little "imperfections" that a hand crafted shoe as expected, but that makes them more unique. They do run a little large and I ordered a half size smaller which was perfect. Comfort, out of this world! I liked them so much I ordered a second pair. I believe that these will last awhile due to the build of the sole with edged detail. Well done Zappos on finding a unique and well built product, coupled with your service is an awesome pair!

Awesome pair of boots for the fall. Great super durable leather and made in Africa. I love that they are so different. They are bit big so I wear a pair of heavy socks with them.

Great boots, but not made for wet weather. Very comfortable, awesome details like pencil marks showing the template tracing that show the handmade origins of the shoe. Only drawback is that they offer no weather protection. Walking in the show I end up with wet shoes and have to clean the shoes often to prevent the salt residue (salt on the sidewalks to melt snow) from damaging the leather.

I loved the look of these shoes on line. The concept of Oliberte's fair-trade company based in Ethiopia made me decide to take a chance on these boots. In short, they are beautiful and the construction is excellent. They have an unique, rugged-chique look. They look best with jeans, but you can wear these with a pair of chinos. I think they are a little casual to wear with a tie. They tend to run large and wide in size. I have wide feet and it is difficult to find boots that are comfortable, so they were an excellent choice for me. My criticisms of the boot are the following: the color is a little unusual and the foot bed is pretty flat. The color is more of a blue-grey than a true grey color. It limits the versatility of the boot. If they were a dark grey or black this would be the perfect casual boot. In summary, this is a unique boot of excellent construction that runs large. Expect more of a blue-grey color if you order them.

The shoes I received were quite different than the shoes that I saw online and ordered. The color was completely different as well as the shape of the shoe. The pictures online are not representative of the shoe I received. The shoes lacked arch support and were very wide. Very disappointing.
