These boots made me very sad. They are so gorgeous and with the description of "stretch suede" I was optimistic they would fit perfectly with my athletic calves. Not so. While the suede is indeed stretch. there is a seam that runs around the middle of the shaft, very narrow, that does not stretch at all. It was like trying to put on a tourniquet. While I was eventually able to yank them on, they were so uncomfortable in the shaft, I knew I would never wear them. So, back they went. Zappo's as always, made the the return stress-free. The shoe part fit perfectly, but I have noticed in the past few years, SW cuts their boot shafts very narrow, same size for a size 12 as a size 7. So unless you have very thin calves, these are not a good bet.

I obsessed over these boots forever. I studied photos of other women wearing them in a variety of colors - all of them exuding effortless style and good looks. I knew that eventually I must have them. Where to start? I ordered a 7.5 in Londra suede. They were very snug on my feet and comfortable enough walking around in my home, but did I want to gamble $800 or so on whether they would stretch enough to be comfortable to wear all day out and about? And they were definitely grey. I was looking for more brownish-grey. I exchanged for an 8 in Praline suede. A remarkably simple process- Thank you, Zappo's! This color still has some grey, but not as dark as the Londra. It is still dark enough not to show smudges/scuffs and will coordinate with everything I own. The 8 fits my foot perfectly now. I hope it does not stretch. I consider my upper and lower legs to be average circumference- more "thick" than bony and both the 7.5 and the 8 easily stretched to fit comfortably. I am 5'7 with more leg than torso and the boot hits well above my knee. Although I am nearly 60, this boot is classy and simple enough that I don't appear to be "trying too hard." That's what I'm telling myself, anyway.

These are quite possibly the most perfect boots I've ever owned (and I have so many pairs my friends' nickname for me is Boosty)! I know several people have commented on the size but I ordered my regular size, 8.5, and they fit perfectly with medium weight socks and could probably work with both heavier and lighter weight ones given the slight stretch. I opted for the Praline color and love it, it's a great neutral which goes with everything and is not too light nor too dark. I know they are a bit pricey but are definitely worth the money as they will be the boots you'll wear over and over for years to come, and are of excellent quality. These boots will also look great on almost anyone, my legs are not thin anymore due to recent weight gain but they have a bit of stretch and the tie in the back ensures they look smooth, not like you're stuffing a sausage, and manage to make me look taller and more svelte. It's rare to find flat boots which can also look sexy but these do; they can also be worn more casually as well, but always look extremely stylish, so there is plenty of versatility. If you're debating purchasing purchasing them go for it, you will not regret it!

No questions on the quality and comfort of the boots. First time I ordered in Zappos.com. When I opened the box, the boots has green stain and definitely looks used already. Returned and waiting for refund now. I’ll buy this somewhere else to make sure I get a brand new one.

I am 5'1", 21 years, and a true 6½ always. I originally bought the 6½ and because I had a little more space in the front than needed and the area around the ankle had this indentation (imagine having on skinny jeans and putting your foot in a ankle boot that has space around your ankle) I hated it! So I ordered the 6 and they were perfect. Now, I generally wear thin socks, I hate thick socks and also my feet I would say is borderline wide. So if you wear thick sicks and and have for sure wider feet just go with the 6½. If you do not mind that bulge around the ankle. I think it looks weird on petite/skinner girls. When in doubt though order both sizes and pick the best one! Rather be safe than sorry on expensive shoes.

Gorgeous boots! I have never owned any pair of shoes over this price, so to make this big of an investment was a huge decision for me. So glad that I bought a pair! My boyfriend said that he has never seen boots like these and that they are truly unique. I ordered a 7.5 and 8 after reading mixed reviews about size... ended up keeping the 8's which is my normal shoe size. They are a bit roomy, but my toes went clear to the end of the 7.5 and they were a little tight, so I was concerned that I might end up with sore toes. I am already saving for another color :).

Like several other women with athletic calves these boots simply did not work for me. I so badly wanted them because they are a gorgeous boot. My calf is 17 inches and it took way too much to get it over my calve and it kind of bulged at the top of my thighs. I would never be able to wear Leggins or slacks with them. I believe these boots are made for women with medium build. I am a size 12-14 and I’m 5’9 in. Mt weight it’s about 185 lbs. I did purchase the stretch style, but it still did not work. I also found that they slouched in the ankle area which kind of took away from the look. Perhaps because they could not easily fit my calve this occurred. I purchased the J.Crew Otk which really fit nicely over my leg, is of equal quality & Construction will allow me to wear jeans/ Leggins. Also the foot and ankle area is far more attractive fit and look. Sure helped that they were about $400 cheaper too! Hopefully Stuart Weitzman will think about this for the gals with calves a little larger than 16 inches!

Wow. This coming from somebody who had major reservations about spending this much money on boots. When initially hunting for OTKs, these iconic Stuart Weitzman often appeared. It Seemed like everyone who was anyone owned either these or the 5050s. So after doing some research and waiting for a bombastic sale (I get just about everything from Zappos but in this case Bloomingdale’s had the winning deal) I ended up ordering both in my usual size 10. They were both fantastic, but I ended up going with these for a couple of reasons. First of all I’m 510 and these are actually over my knee. The 50-50’s awkwardly hit three fourths up my knee and I just didn’t like that personally. Secondly there was no pirate slouch with these whatsoever. That alone makes it worth the amount of money you would spend on boots. I was debating getting the all leather ones for an additional $200 but decided against it as the purpose of these is for fashion not waterproof function and if you take care or suede it will last. I found them true to size - maybe a hair long but with socks I was totally comfortable. Easy on and off. I have an athletic calf. Not wide not small. Never really had an issue. I weigh 144 lbs at 5’10” for reference sake. Anyways overall these are killer and I can see why women are willing to spend the money. If hubs gets upset, perhaps he owns a pair of luchesse boots which mine does - and the fussing stopped there :)

I am tall, so these boots act as "my high heel" because they are sexy in the leg, but do not make me taller. The tie at top helps them stay up if one has very thin thighs. These are really great/standout boots. They come in several colors which I love not just black.

Yes, these boots are a hefty investment but well worth it. I get compliments every single time I wear them, and who doesn't feel great when that happens? It is not often that you find a shoe that is both sexy and extremely comfortable, but these boots are it. I highly recommend.

These are the most incredibly gorgeous boots! The color is exquisite. The suede is perfection. They fit perfectly 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear. But alas, my leg is too short to do the boots justice. How sad! The fault is mine! Have to return. :/

Stuart Weitzman has done it again! These are the best stretch suede boots on the market among high end designers. I usually have difficulties putting similar style boots on or taking them off, and can t usually take them off without someone s assistance, but not with Stuart Weitzman Lowland, the silky lining inside lets the boots slide easily from foot. They are really comfortable and flattering, your legs will look longer in them. I typically wear size 7 and got them in 7 too, they feel a bit loose inside, so someone might prefer to get a half size smaller. Got mine in currant color (only available at Zappos) and absolutely love them.

Style and material were wonderful. I ordered the Wide for my medium-to-wide feet (not terribly wide) and these felt really narrow. They were narrower than all my other regular-width boots. Had to return as these were uncomfortable being too narrow (size 9.5 wide ordered, for reference).

First off, Zappos shipping is incredible. Ordered these Tuesday morning got them EOD Wednesday, love this site. In terms of sizing, I am a true 7.5 or an 8 if a brand runs small. These boots are pretty true to size, I would recommend trying them on in person before purchasing, however. I have pretty athletic calves (14 in) and I was worried the medium width wouldn't fit but they did! Although the 7.5 would have fit perfectly, I decided to get the 8 in order to wear them with my thick hiking socks. Perfect for NY winters. I find that half calf type socks make it easier to slide on the boots. Additionally, there is less slouching on the ankle when I pair them with these types of socks. If you're going to wear them with regular ankle socks, go for your true size.

Omg gorgeous! I have a cheaper pair of otk boots that I wear all the time so I decided to invest in these and wow the difference is amazing. The suede is buttery soft and hug My legs perfectly. I have very skinny 12 inch calves and these are the first boots that fit there. I did go half a size down based on reviews and it fits great with normal and sports socks and will accommodate the natural stretch that comes with suede. I wouldn’t say that are as comfortable as sneakers, which some people made then seam but they fit comfortable for a flat boot. Very happy with Zappos, my shoes came in perfect condition and were packaged well and came with the dust bag. So excited to wear them this fall!

These provide fantastic comfort and quite versatile style. I was reluctant to go for thigh high but the flat heel gives good balance.

You must have really skinny calves/legs for these to be comfortable, which I do not :( The part where the suede ends & the stretchy material begins is seriously tight. I also feel as if his boots are extremely overpriced & you're mainly paying for the name. The foot part should be structured a whole lot better for that price. What would be so bad about adding some arch support as well? The 50/50 boot is much more comfy for people with bigger calves/legs.

Beautiful. My feet feel so conformable, the leather is really soft and overall, the boots are an incredible element to the final look.

Not only are they absolutely beautiful, they're incredibly comfortable. The fit is perfect and they're made so well and look great styled with a skirt, jeans or leggings. I eventually would love them in a light beige because I have so many outfit ideas in my head already. If you're thinking about getting them, go for it. I'm so happy I did. Yes, they're a splurge, but totally worth it.

I love my suede thigh high boots. Very comfortable and fits like a glove. The calf area is skin hugging and not super giving which makes them stay in place. So need to try on before you buy if you have thick calves. Over all super sexy and hope to get a lot of usage out of them.
