I waited about a month before writing this review to be certain of my feelings for this shoe. New Balance has not been the brand for me the last few years, but this shoe worked out. I was having a lot of trouble with orthotics working with shoes that were supposedly "made for orthotic users" and finally had a long talk with my physical therapist. I suffer from peroneal tendinopathy, which was caused by overly-aggressive orthotics that my then podiatrist had me wearing to heal plantar fasciitis (no, I do not over-pronate). They didn't heal my problem, only made it worse. Unfortunately, after over 2 years of trying to get out of orthotics I find that my right foot and my gait are basically destroyed. I got a new podiatrist and a new neutral orthotic and was informed by my PT to wear a cross-trainer with zero structure on the inside (in other words, no arch support built into the shoe and no outward tilt to the footbed). I was also told to buy them one width wider than I used to wear. These shoes took the orthotic, my foot stays level, no tilting to the outside and the 10mm drop is perfect for keeping the arch support of the orthotic from applying too much pressure to the sole of my foot. So my lesson is, if you are not a runner, by-pass the $120-$140 New Balance runners and buy the more basic cross-trainers instead. If you wear orthotics, these are great shoes.

Really nice memory foam insole! These shoes are comfy and cute, although the toe box is ALOT more narrow than I usually see with New Balance. Great heel support and stability with the wide sole. Comfortable for walking. The upper edge of the foot opening is a bit bulky feeling, I wear short socks and noticed it rubbing slightly on my skin. Still deciding if that will cause me to return. Also, the navy material is like suede and it get easily scuffed/dust marks.

I have 2 pairs of 608's that I've had fo over 10 years. I have machine washed them numerous times and they are still the wonderful shoes I bought. These 608v4 are not as well made and definitely run 1/2 size small. Not crazy about the wide toe box. I wear a narrow but these make my feet look huge. Not nearly as comfortable as the "original". Hope they get better with wear.

I have been wearing the New Balance 608 for years. The 608v4 has changed. The padding inside is thinner and wears through in no time. The heels get stress marks and start to squish down. They are still more comfortable than any others I have found - especially the 608 with memory foam. I just have to replace them sooner.

bought these shoes in 11 narrow to accommodate orthotics and socks. they were not long enough andnot narrow enough. I already have a pair of 10.5 narrow and the width is fine but too short. hate to return but have no choice as I cannot wear them

I like this shoe very much. My orthotics fit well and the shoe provides much needed support to align my knees and hips. The color is very attractive. I wear New Balance routinely so I just ordered my usual size and it fit perfectly! I recommend this shoe if you want a colorful, up-to-date shoe that in addition to being fashionable is well-fitting, and substantial in terms of providing support. It's hard to find one shoe that combines both.

Love these sneakers. I hike mist every day and these shoes are great for support and very comfortable!

I have very wide feet with a very high arch and although i put my orthotics in these they are very comfortable and keep me from walking on the outside of my feet - as many people do who have high arches. I have looked high and low for a stable athletic shoe for all of my feet problems and these seem to be just right. The wide heel keeps me stable and I don't have ankle pain when I wear them!

I like this style shoe. Have had 4 pair now. They fit fine and are comfortable. I do use a special insole because I have plantar faciatis and a very high I step. Very durable shoe.

I have finally found my perfect sneaker. I am about to purchase my second pair of these sneakers today. I have had problems with my feet for several years and now I can say that I have found the most comfortable sneaker for my feet. I do hope you never stop selling these New Balance 608. When I put my orthotics in them they are perfect for me.

I have had two hammertoe surgeries since Feb and these shoes fit like a glove. I have what and pink and then I saw these and they fit perfectly. I needed a wide shoe for my toes and Zappos have more than I could find in the stores.

I had this model previously but with memory foam insoles. I was hoping for the same again. Not so much. I wear them for work and they are great for the walking I do, but not standing. They'll last for about 3 or 4 months before I need a new pair again.

At first I liked the memory sole, but after a week of walking in the shoe while on vacation, my feet really hurt.

My foot is short and wide and these were extremely comfortable. Also very durable. Brown suede design looked sharper than the typical athletic shoe. Only problem is that they never stopped squeaking when I walked (bought in 2018, it's now 2022).

Great sneaker! The sneaker has excellent arch support and fits true to size. Made of strong material and provides a good support around the whole foot. Good for working out in.

I love New Balance shoes!

I have been wearing these shoes for quite some time. I have a lot of foot problems including one foot that is fused together with screws. I replace the liner with my custom supports so have to order a larger size than I would in any other shoe. I like that the liners are not glued in and are easy to replace with the orthotic. So far very happy with it.

Very comfortable. I've been looking for months to finda good pair of shoes to go to work. Finally I found a pair which makes me happy in the morning on my way to work. I am going to order 2 more pairs

I loved my brown ones so much that I told my husband I was gonna buy a black pair. He told me since my birthday is coming up he'd buy me the black ones for my birthday & they got here just in time for my birthday. I wore them all day & my feet feel great. My birthday is the 30th this month. Thank you for these wonderful shoes. Best ever!

I absolutely love this sneaker to take very long walks they are so comfortable and meet the comfort needed for my plantar fasciitis issue I highly recommended these they aren’t the cutest but they ar decent looking

My go-to Cross Trainers fit very well. I have ordered these for years and New Balance continues to make this a good quality shoe. There is ample room for my insoles that I always use and swap out the standard insole the shoe comes with so I can have more cushion. I stand all day for work, so I need the extra cushion and arch support.

I have a short narrow foot and it is nearly impossible to find narrow shoes in a store! I am also very physically active, walking daily for exercise. I have too often worn shoes that are too wide and then suffered foot cramps. I am so thankful I can buy narrow shoes through Zappo's. I just need to remember to do that when I need replacements!
