A little background - I have never worn leggings. I wear running shorts all summer and Exofficio pants in the winter. Since I've been working out, my trunk area has widened quite a bit and I can't force myself to wear any sort of regular pant (jeans, trousers, etc) that fits uncomfortably and/or restricts movement. I'm tired of my Exofficio pants (and they don't fit as well since the bubble butt and wide thigh revolution happened) so my sister encouraged me to try leggings. I strongly dislike shopping and trying on clothes so I try to purchase quality materials and brands that will last awhile. I plan to wear my leggings both as pants and under loose sweaters/shirts. I want a 'basic' legging that is versatile so I did not purchase any loud colors or patterns. I also like clothes that I can wear from work right into the forest for a hike. Having never worn any legging brands, I went hog wild and ordered 11 pairs to try on, 9 of which came from Zappos. Here are my body stats - 41" hip, 31" waist, usually pant size 10, weight ~ 145-152, height 5'7", A little soft in the middle but strong, toned legs. Here are my thoughts - Lysse Tight Ankle Legging 1219 Super tight, could not get over thighs. Nope Patagonia Serenity Legging Shorter than all the others; unattractive near crotch area Prana Misty Legging Very nice material, cool pattern and easy to get on; too low in back and front; unattractive crotch area Yummie Rachel Legging Perfect waistband height, nice feeling material, great length; a little difficult to get on but felt 'right' once they were in place. No movement when bending over. Definitely not see-through. Maybe a little too tight but perfect waistband Hue Ultra Legging w/Wide waistband Great waistband although the Rachel felt most 'right'. Super SUPER comfortable and great for movement/various positions (squatting, crossed legs on floor, etc). Has less cotton and less spandex then Rachel and the difference is made up by Rayon. Definitely not see-through and a bit stretch-ier fit than the Rachel. These were 1" wider on leg opening which I'm sure contributed to the ease of putting on and taking off. Yummie Hannah Legging These made the second round because they had a balanced feeling material and I liked the V look in front. Ultimately, the waistband was a little too low and it both cut in at my gut and was a little revealing when I bent over. Yummie Milan Legging This one was very similar to the Rachel except slightly different fabric blend (88% cotton/12% elastane Rachel vs 84% cotton/16% spandex Milan). I liked them but felt they fit slightly too tight. Yummie Louise Legging These were quickly eliminated - too tight, too spandex-y, and too short Yummie Lenox Legging These made the second round, along with the Yummie Rachel, Yummie Milan & the Hue. I liked the pocket and there was nice give in the leg when pulling them on. Perfect length and nice smooth material. Great height on waist. I tried the Lenox on and then the Rachel, back and forth, trying to decide which I preferred. The Rachel won. While investigating the two, I realized it might be due to the difference in their materials. Rachel is 88% cotton/12% elastane and the Lenox is 88% polyester/12% spandex. ALSO, the ankle is very tight. Merrell Ergoluxe Method Legging Neat pockets, wanted to love them, medium difficulty getting them on; waistband not high enough and not versatile fabric (looks like athletic wear) Merrell Lithos Straight Leg Pant Great fit and super comfortable, perfect length and nice in-between of yoga pant and legging. Ankle is loose (yoga pant) and sits on top of a sneaker nicely but butt/thigh area is tighter like a legging. Eliminated these based on 88% polyester since I already own a pair that is mostly polyester. FINAL DECISION I'm keeping the Rachel and the Hue legging. They just feel so amazing. UPDATE: The Rachel comes up 1 inch higher in the front and is definitely noticeable; I find myself occasionally pulling up on the Hue but the Rachel sits in exactly the right place. Still glad I purchased both.

These are very nice leggings with good extra support in the midsection. After having my daughter, my belly is not what it used to be, so I really like the higher rise of these. They are thick enough to not have any show through and they do not have any sheen like an athletic legging would. At 5'3" and 135 pounds, the medium fits well. Another plus is when Zappos sent me the wrong size, they let me keep the size small and suggested I donate them, and overnighted the mediums. That is great customer service!

After looking at so many leggings online if finally decided on these and the Hue blackout leggings. I kept these as I loved the wide waistband and the fact that they somewhat hold my stomach in, plus, they stay up and are super comfortable. They aren't see through and although I mainly wear these with long shirts or sweaters you could wear a short top with them. They are rather hih-waisted also. I normally wear a medium (I'm 5'7, 160, athletic build so I I have larger legs), but I bought a large because sometimes with leggings mediums will be a bit too tight on my legs then pull the waist down. These are great leggings and although they are a bit pricey for leggings I might buy more and would highly recommend them.

I ordered a large and they were way to tight. I had trouble getting them on. Im 5'6" 130 lbs. Once on I felt like I had a girdle on. Liked the weight and the fabric but they were not at all comfortable.

love them! not see-through black long leggings with a control top (which looks really good, but is also a bit snugg in the stomach as a result). i actually bought 2 pairs !

So uncomfortable! I was trying to replace a pair of cotton leggings I adored and wore for years. These were like wearing a pair of Spanx. That could be worth it for a big event, but not for lounging around or doing anything athletic. I usually wear a size 2 or 4 and these were a small, so I think they are the correct size for me. They did not feel at all like cotton.

I wanted to like these more than I did. A year after having my baby, I still have a little tummy pooch. I was hoping the wide waistband would offer a flattering shape, instead, because of how the seam is built, it seemed to enhance my pooch. The waistband almost acted like a little pooch hammock. I felt very unattractive. Other than that, the fit through the legs was nice, the material is nice. The waistband just didn't work for me.

I am soooo grateful to the extensive review previously posted for these. I LOVE them. No tugging. No see-through. No big fat waistband (as some Hue seem to have, and that gets me rightinthegut after lunch.) These are right at correct waist level front and back and all smooth. Just the RIGHT amount of control where I need it in butt and thighs while also giving nicely unrestricted knee movement. I love the cottony feel and the thickness was what I needed for fall/winter wear. Length was surprisingly good, too, seeing as how I usually require a 36" inseam. ONLY COMPLAIT: get them in more colors. Heather Greys, dark browns, maybe deep purples.

Love these leggings. They have tons of support in all the right places and they're super soft and comfortable. I/m 5" 6' and 195 lbs. I usually wear a size 12 in pants and the large fit me perfectly. I'll be ordering more!

I wear leggings pretty much every day and these ones are perfect! The waste is in the exact right spot and they're not at all see through. They're my new favorites!

Pros: Super comfortable fabric (88% cotton), flattering and comfortable tummy tucking on my apple-shaped post partum body. Cons: With a 27.5" inseam, these are a bit longer than I would have liked at 5'3". They will work with knee-high boots, but might look a little silly with sneakers, flats or booties unless I roll them up. I like the fabric and fit at the waist enough that I may have them altered. I ordered a Small, and measurements are currently 29" waist, 34" hips if that helps anyone choose.

The comfort of the pants is nice, however I wore them for 4 hours and the crotch area pilled badly. For the price and brand I would expect better. I’m 5’7” and 150 lbs. size M fit great.

These fit great! They are cotton, so eventually will show wear and fading, but otherwise great. They stay put on the waist without rolling and are very high rise.

After the first wash the material is soft and comfortable. I love the fit... they fit kind of like lululemon wunder under leggings. I am 5’9 and 155 lbs and I ordered the large. They fit perfect.

These are awesome. Cottony, comfy, opaque, and substantial enough fabric that your butt won't feel undercovered. No shine whatsoever. Waistband doesn't roll!! More cottony and a more comfy waistband than Spanx at twice the price. I'm 5' 3" and 160 lbs, and the LG fits perfectly; I'll hold onto the XL I tried for pj's.

I have never owned a pair of leggings before, and ordered four different ones from Zappos to try. I ended up keeping the Yummie Rachel Cotton Shaping Legging... and then I ordered two more pairs because I love them SO MUCH! Especially right now, with social distancing and working from home, these are all I ever wear nowadays. I am 5'8" and 150 lbs, and usually wear a size 8/medium. I tried the medium and large, and ended up keeping the large. I now have two pairs of these leggings in black, and one pair in heather charcoal. Great quality and fit!

Good fit, substantial fabric. I intend to wear it with tennis shoes and long tops; I think it will work very well.

Fit was true to size. Very nice fabric and thick enough to be worn with a casual tee or can be dressed up with nice tunic or with blazer. Very pleased with this purchase.
