I read a lot of reviews that said this boot runs big. I've had to return twice for a larger size. I find it runs true to size as long as you use the American size chart. I really love that it fits my smaller calf! Finally a boot that fits!

These boots are great looking, comfortable, and serve their purpose! A nice change up from the Hunter boots. The shaft is narrow for thin calves.

I received my boots yesterday and I love them! I decided on the red ones. Wore them today, and received numerous compliments. I ordered a full size down based on other reviews, and they fit. As previous reviews the leg circumference of the boots is much narrower than other boots. If you have large/muscular calves, these boots will not work. I loved them because I do not have any excess room in the calves which I have with most other boots. I also have a very narrow foot. I read reviews that said this particular boot ran narrow; however, I did not find that to be the case. To compensate for the extra foot room, I decided to add a pair of shearling insoles (which I purchased from Zappos in the past). Not only are the boots now a perfect fit, my feet were warm all day! I have 2 pair of Hunter boots, and I like these much better! Love Zappos!

The Le Chameau Vierzon is a beautiful boot. Well made and substantial. Heads above Hunter, in my opinion. Unfortunately, they didn't work out for me. I'm only 5'2" and they were much to tall... hitting the bottom of my knee when standing. Could they have worked? Sure. But I also tried the Aigle Aiglentine which fit me better overall. I'd also like to address the width of the shaft. I have calves on the wider side. The original Hunters don't fit me...however, the Le Chameau's did...even with a pair of skinny jeans tucked in. Maybe I could have gotten a straight leg jean into them too but I didn't try. So, overall it's a lovely, comfortable boot especially if your legs are longer than mine.

Aigle Aiglentine versus Le Chameau Vierzon Lady. Although both look like they are very high quality, Le Chameau wins on style, fit, and comfort. I usually wear a 9 or 9½ in regular shoes, 10 in running shoes. I have slim legs with fairly muscular calves. The size 40 were a perfect fit. I think the size chart is off as I believe 40 is equivalent to 9-9½ and not 8. The Aigles were too loose in the ankle and calf and my foot slipped out as I walked. The Le Chameaus fit like a glove. While they required a little tugging to take off, they did not slip or feel loose as I walked.

Good looking boots, well constructed. Obviously high quality. They are extremely comfortable. They are a little big for the size, but I like to wear woolen socks in that type of boot. Very happy with this purchase.

Worth the money! These are definitely English Country Side boots. I could walk miles in them, in fact I do! They are perfect for cleaning out the barn, taking a muddy hike with the dog and kids or looking stylish while running around town in the rain. I love love love these boots. They are super comfortable! Fit like a shoe not a clunky rain boot. I have a narrow foot and these fit very well. They are a bit hard to get off at first - but now I have the hang of it. I have them in Red and love them.

I am looking for the perfect pair of Wellies. I like the look of Hunter, but because they are no longer made in the UK but China, their quality has gone to crap. Le Chameau is it, it is just a matter of which one. I have decided on Le Chameau Womens VierzoNord Rain Boots "Nord" being the key bc they are warmer but not with fur but neoprene. so good for Cold and rain. Kate the Dutchess wears Le Chameau, and I think she has the finger on the pulse as to what is good :)

I use rain boots on a pretty much daily basis, as I live in a tidal flooding zone. I've loved my Hunters for a decade, but it was time for new boots. I also have very narrow feet with a slightly slim calf. I chose these over the newest "slim" Hunters because those have a zipper and I figured that they'd be vulnerable to leaks or zipper rust if the boot was fully submerged. I'm so glad I made the leap to Le Chameau. It's a very nicely made boot...extremely supple rubber, great treads, narrow fit (so my feet don't slop around like I'm wearing my dad's boots or something), and surprisingly warm for not being lined with an insulating material. I've been wearing these as my snow boots since they sip on so easily and I've made it comfortably through mile-long walks in the woods in teen temps. I would highly recommend these boots for a high level of practicality and a very flattering style. Note, if you have a wide foot, these probably aren't the best choice for you. If you find most rain boots a little spacious, however, these will probably be a great discovery. They're pricey, but well worth it for so many reasons. I'm usually an 8, but ordered a 7.5 based on other reviews. They fit perfectly.

These boots are awesome! Beat out the competition - Hunters brand - by a mile. I have three pair & love them all. One caveat: the strap & buckle aren't as long-lasting as the rest of the boots. Don't worry. Your shoe repairman can replace the plastic buckle with a metal one & hot-glue a stronger strap on. Great support & comfort.

These boots fit like a glove and comfortable too. Try a half size smaller than your usual size because they run a little large. Fantastic boot!

I've put off buying good rain boots for years. They seem like such an indulgence, and I guess they are. That said, I love these boots. I'll probably still be wearing them 20 years from now. Very soft and comfortable. And… not the Hunter's every other mom on the street is wearing.

I absolutely love these boots! Check the sizing very carefully using the sizing chart on the website. They are super comfortable, slimming and flattering if you have narrower legs. I love how these are not Hunters and have their own identity. The rubber is very soft - almost like leather.

I bought these to replace a pair of Hunters I had that leaked after 5 months of wear. Le Chameau boots sound like they will be more durable and last longer. Check out their website and general reviews you can read online. They arrived today and I kind of love them. The fit is flattering and a thinner fit. I am thin but do have muscular legs and they fit great. I believe my calf is 15 inches around. Anyway, if you are looking for cute rain boots, try these! They do run large, I am a solid 8 and I ordered a 7 and they fit great.

I needed these for the barn and thought they would like nice outside the barn. They are lovely and are a nice height. But the foot bed it huge! I think a 7-7 1/2 would've been a better fit. I wear a solid size 8.

This was a nice rain boot. I am sure it would work great in any water ...BUT the AIGLEs I got just are just way better. The rubber is smoother and the interior has a better liner. Sorry I know the princess has Le Chameau but I loved the AIGLEs. They are worth the extra $.

I was so excited to get these, as I have to look far and wide for a narrow-ish boot. I was hoping these would work for my "chicken ankles", but alas, not to be. I ordered a 41 (size 8), knowing that they run large. I normally wear an 8.5 or 9.0 in a running shoe. This thing was still too large -- pretty sloppy, actually. The circumference of the shaft itself was nice and small around my calf...something you rarely see in boots these days (wide shaft seems to be the norm). The foot bed itself seemed a bit more narrow, but there was way too much room on top of my toes/foot/ankle, if that makes sense. I could've put another foot down in there. Tapers up nicely to a pretty small ankle area, so not sure why the top of the foot needs to be so roomy? Again, I have narrow feet and the aforementioned chicken leg, so maybe just me. Didn't love the lining, either. Seemed a bit skimpy for a pricier boot. Sad face. Sending back.

I own a pair of Hunters and wanted a second pair of rain boots. Thought I would branch out so ordered a variety of options from Zappos. These will be going back. They are about as bulky as the Hunters. I'll be keeping the Aigle boots I bought because they are substantially lighter in both actual weight and appearance.
