This is a great shoe. I can wear some shoes in a 6.5 wide or 7 medium. I ordered this shoe in a 7 medium and fit perfectly. This is comfortable for walking lots of miles in a city (obviously not a hiking shoe, but it will work on paths other than city streets), and goes with pants or skirts. This shoe also fulfills my requirement for being able to travel all over the world with only one pair of shoes. I also tried the Cobb Hill Petra, but I like this one a little better because the Applause is a little sleeker, but still has a roomy toe box.

I find that most shoes of this type don't have enough support, so I ordered this shoe (Taos Applause) and the Cobb Hill Petra, thinking I would keep the one I liked better. They are both very comfortable, and had as much support as any Mary Jane style will be able to offer. I couldn't decide between the two and -- quite uncharacteristically -- decided to keep both!

This shoe fits my narrow heel, large foot and wide metatarsals. I often wear larger than 11, however this 11 fits perfectly. Wonderful for walking.

Really good arch support and very comfortable. Cute too. However, this is the second return because of size. I have the Taos Star sneaker in a 9M which is a little snug across the top, but good length wise. I ordered 9W in the Applause first, too wide and long, reordered 9M-sill too big. Going to try one more time with 8 1/2M and hope it fits. I think it probably really fits a little big. Zappos is the best for customer service!!

I bought these because I have a damaged toenail and can't wear open toed shoes in summer. I am usually a 10W or 11 depending on the shoe. The 11 fits comfortably with a little room to spare, but without rubbing. The insole provides good support. I can walk in these all day and wear them almost daily to work.

The Taos Applause is good looking and comfortable. It will work with both pants or a skirt as it is not too "chunky" like many Mary Janes. I gave it a 4 in comfort because it is not deep enough to use my orthotic, however, with the buckle holding my heel from slipping I don't expect a problem. It does run full. The heel is slightly elevated and I know this is comfortable for plantar fasciitis. I've worn Taos before and am very happy with this purchase.

I stand up to nine hours a day and these shoes are comfortable all day. Walking and standing they are great.

Loved the look of this shoe. It has a good toe box, the strap is adjustable, good arch support. I would keep them except they are way to wide for my foot. I tried a piece under the toe area, but still didn't fit right. I am very sad because this is the type of shoe i am looking for that is dressy enough but also something to wear with traveling and lots of walking. More shopping on Zappos !

I really like these, comfortable and cute but also very easy to remove insert and add another if I need to.

I ended up getting a half size smaller than usual. I was excited to find supportive, comfortable shoes that weren't too clunky to wear to work.

Keepers! I have been on the hunt for shoes to wear to Europe this spring that are comfy, sturdy (but not matronly), and will work with jeans or skirts. My feet are wide; I have a small bunion on one foot but these seem to work. I haven't given them an all-day test yet, but I suspect they will be fine. I like that the strap is easy on/off and adjustable. I am happy!

This is my first pair of Taos shoes and I am so happy to have discovered them. From the moment I put them on they were so very comfortable, providing great support throughout my feet. I used them all day long and loved them every minute of my busy shopping day. I ordered them in pewter and I love the color; they look so good with my jeans. The toe box accommodates my tailor's bunion nicely. If you're looking for stylish comfort, you gotta give these shoes a try.

This is a very cute shoe. Good quality for the price. I was disappointed as I normally wear a 7 W, and in this shoe I would wear a 6.5 W, but the company doesn't make that size. If you wear a wide width this would be a perfect shoe for you as it runs a little bit large and it's truly a wide width.

Great fit for those with foot problems or not. Wish you had Chocolate or Expresso.

Love this shoe! Super cute MaryJane with a few design features that make it unique. Comfortable out of the box and all day long (I am a teacher). I have wide feet and narrow heals. My heals lift a bit, but the velcro strap stays in place.

Extremely comfortable! Great everyday shoe that has excellent arch support. My normal size is 7.5 and these are perfect. I have a narrow heal and slightly wider forefoot, and these shoes are perfect. I can walk all day and not have any issues at all. Highly recommend.

loving these shoes! out of the box they are very comfortable, with a padded insole. the outer sole has just enough grip. and the styling is really nice, with great quality.

Finally! I have found a shoe for Sundays! I have plantar fasciitis and have to wear good shoes. I am the Associate Pastor at my church and needed black shoes to go with my robe. I wore my black mary jane Merrells out. I've been wearing ill-fitting flats from local stores in the mean time. These are more comfortable than Merrells and they have a slight heel (but not too much - I've been stuck in flats for a long time)! I really LOVE these shoes! They have a nonskid bottom, the strap is comfy, the shoe is stable. Looks nice, too! I am pretty sure I could wear these to school (am I am second grade teacher, too) and not be in pain at the end of the day like I usually am. (I've tried Merrells and Algerias and they both hurt!) I highly recommend Zappos, too! Great return policy and great service!

Comfy, but looks great, true to size and no problem with my narrower heel. The silver button is really just an accent over a hidden velcro closure so you can fit to your needs. Delivered super fast with updates at each step of the way.

These are so comfortable and made from very nice soft leather. I like the not so clunky look of the sole. They are sturdy mary janes. They provide good arch support. The strap is well made. They have a slight heel, not completely flat.

I was going to return these shoes because I was really in the market for an enclosed shoe for winter BUT I'm going to keep them as they are so comfortable. I can't resist!

Love this shoe. The style is very attractive and is comfortable. I marked Moderate arch support but it is less than moderate, but more than no arch support. The 4 stars on comfort because I like more arch support.

They fit true to size and are cute and comfortable but I decided to keep another pair (which are more enclosed) as winter shoes. These are well made, cushiony foot pad, great walking shoe. I hate to part with them but...
