This is my new favorite boot. I call them my fairy boots because I feel so light in them! The quality is excellent, the leather soft (no break in time necessary) but sturdy. I usually wear a 9.5 and got these in a 41. The sole is pretty thin, so i put in some flat Dr. Scholl's inserts and now they're perfect. I have large big toe and they accommodate nicely, even with the insole.

The Vivobarefoot is the only boot that came close to working for me. This style and the brown run a titch long. I ordered a 7.5 but I am generally better off in a 7W. I ordered a half size larger to accommodate three fused toes that don't bend on one foot and to pad a bunion on the other. This boot is both soft (leather) and sturdy. The color on the blue is BLUE! Made me look as though I was TRYING to be cool. Cute combat style and will match your dark wash jeans, but that made them too specific. They would not work with black pants. Ordered it in brown too but both going back. The brown IS cool but both colors stiffer than the boring black which I am keeping. A more practical choice for me. This manufacturer gets all the stars for a warm winter option runabout boot. As for Zappos, I would not be able to go out this winter but for their extraordinary return policies. TY Zappos. No better customer care anywhere.

Great barefoot hiking shoe!! We had a hard time finding a water resistant, warm, barefoot hiking boot but this one was perfect. I've purchased 3 pair (for me and my 2 kids) and we wore nothing else but these all winter. The color is nice too - very dark brown - so that we can wear them with black or brown and they work.

I usually wear a 37 but since this has the thermal sold and faux shearling I ordered a 38. No toe cramping in this leather boot. I ordered 37 in the unlined Gobi boot (non hi Top) and the toe box was tight. The 38 hi Top was perfect. I wore thick merino wool hiking socks and felt great. Today I wore crew liner socks (toe socks) and felt just as great. I've yet to wear them out in sub zero temps; I wore them in the office only so far. Buren is a great color and I love this style

I have fussy feet and find these boots to be almost illegally comfortable. They fit my medium-to-wide feet like a soft, smooth glove. Limited to no arch support but compensated by a cushy and flexible sole. The appearance is minimal and sleek.

These are very comfortable, and relatively warm. The higher ankle can be tied snugly to keep the boot in place while allowing the toe box to be nice and roomy for a more barefoot walk. They look pretty cool too, especially for comfort shoes.

I love the feel of these shoes. I have very flat feet and finding shoes without stiff arch supports is very difficult. The only problem I have with these is that they don't breathe. Thy are warm but my feet sweat and then they get cold. I wish they had a version with a side zip.

This is a high quality, true to size fitting boot. I was looking for a comfortable and lightweight boot, but found the style here was unattractive and awkward.

Had bought the shoe directly from Vivabarefoot and just returning it. Background: I'm wearing minimal/barefoot like shoes since 16 years and hunting for the next model when my previous are no longer available is always a pain. Especially when one looks for winter/rain-compatible shoes.
I usually have an 7.5 to 8 in the US or 38-39 in EU. Ordered those in 8.5 since they are for warmer socks.
The good: very comfortable, shoe box for width for a woman my shoe size a bit wide, shoe length is fitting well. Shoes are light and flexible. The quality seems decent from first impression.
The bad: there is zero ankle/heel support to not slip out of the shoes. One can not make up for this with the shoe string tension ... because the above-ankle part is cut in a way that it leans backwards slightly - instead of being slightly forward. The result is that with any natural gait where the foot indeed rolls and the ankle tilts the shoe strings/lip on the very top push against the shin. I believe it could have been alleviated if the top metal loops would have been placed slightly further towards the toe. But as it is one either adopts the more "stomp" like gait in firm shoes to not tilt the foot at the ankle - or experiences pain at the shin soon. What a pity, this could be a great shoe.

A lot narrower in the toes than the old Gobi. :-(

Very comfortable, flexible, flat, and cozy, but the toe box is surprisingly narrow for a minimalist shoe. It's ok in 32F weather, but I'm not sure I'd go much colder in these shoes.
