I live high up in the Colorado Rockies. Out of the 17 years I have lived here these are the best winter boots I have owned. Warm, dry and very durable. It takes about 4 days to break them in though so heads up on that. A true mountain man boot.

These boots are comfortable right out of the box. They've continued breaking on with use, becoming more and more comfortable. I was skeptical that they would be slip resistant due to the appearance of the tread, but they have been great. I work in a dairy with brick floors that are extremely slippery, these boots have offered the best slip resistance of any boot I've owned.

My work environment involves lots of oil, some acids and other chemicals, and loads of walking. This is the first pair of boots that has lasted me a year. Liked them enough I'm now on my 2nd pair. Insoles of course need to be changed when the wife starts complaining about stinky feet but overall definitely worth the money

I use the Ariat powerline boot for winter and was looking for a good summer work boot so I picked these up. I'm on my feet 14 hours a day in these and stay comfortable. They have good traction. Keep my feet dry. Overall great work boot.

These boots are a perfect fit and are very comfortable. Probably the most comfortable Ariat boot I have. Walked thru a stream with no water seeping in

Couldn't find my usual ariat workboots so bought these. Kinda stiff at first but broke in fairly quick.

I bought these for my boyfriend. He works maintenance at a processing facility. Outdoors, excessive walking, lots of water, very dirty, and lots of moving machinery. He says they are very comfortable, even after a 2 day stretch where he worked two 8hr shifts (a double) each day! He didn't like the price, but the 6 month waterproof guarantee by Ariat helped him accept what I paid! They look very rugged, rinse off well, and are much lighter than is old steel toe Muck boots!

Great boots, comfortable from the moment you wear them. Boots run narrow I ordered standard with and they were to tight. I returned the for the wide size and they fit great. Zappos exchange policy is with out question the best, I had no problems at all. I will definitely use Zappos for my footwear going forward.

I bought these boots because I enjoy a pull on boot versus lace up. I also like the added protection these boots give for abrasions and scrapes that you incur every day on the job. The composite toe helps to not get as cold as standard steel toes as well. All in all, its a great boot.

This is my 2nd pair and are the best boots I've come across. they're basically broken in already due to the fire hose material. as you know leather needs time to stretch in. the traction needs improvement though, it good on asphalt and course concrete and general walking but when you're walking on sandstone or slippery soil they don't grip well, Ariat needs to give them logger treads.
But all in all, I give them 4 stars for comfort and durability, the hydrant hose construction holds up better than leather that tends to crack over time. I don't have the time to be conditioning the leather all the time.

So far so good. Last a little tight in instep but break in. Im guessing waterproof is just DWR because slopping around while wet cutting concrete left me with wet feet. I do likevthat i dont have to condition like leather.

Great boot took a few days to break in. But warning if your a welder or do burning don't get these. The mesh on top melts right away. Lesson learned.

I loved the look of these boots but ended up returning them as they didn't offer the comfort I am used to. I work on my feet for 12+ hours a day and these caused knee pain.

Really comfortable, supportive boots.
I typically wear Keen shoes, because they have a wide enough toe-box for me. Thing is, I have a wide foot, wide enough that I cant even slide into the wellington style boots that keen makes. I barely get into these, but I do get in. I wish Keen would use a wider neck on their wellies.
These run a bit narrower, and I just barely squeeze into the Ariat EE wide. Honestly, if the boots weren't so kick-a$$, I would have called them too narrow.
I'm glad I stuck with them, because they are breaking in nicely, and I have had no soreness wearing them all day.
I do wish they would make the "pad" at the top of the heel a little more smooth or slippery. It catches a little on the edge as my sock slides in. In the least, they should have inverted that seam so an entering foot slides over it, rather than catching the lip of the pad. Smooth leather at that one slide-point would be my only wish.
I'd also recommend:

Nice looking boot. I'm usually a 10.5 wide. I can work with an 11 medium (normal width). Ordered an 11 EE wide and it was really narrow. Will return for a new one.
