I love this boot. It was comfortable from the time I first put it on. It looks great with skinny jeans and boot leg jeans. True to size. I'm a 7.5 and I got a 7.5. Nice width in the toe bed. Can't say enough about this boot.

Love these boots! I've been wearing them around to break them in, but they didn't need it. Very comfortable from day one. Cute and versatile too. I bought ankle boots hoping to get more wear out of them since I live in Florida. These boots definitely have worked for me.

I loved the boots! They are very pretty and smell heavenly! However I have an issue with my left foot and it was too snug on the top of my left foot.

When I saw this boot, the theme song from Clint Eastwood's A Fistful Of Dollars flashed through my mind, so I studied this boot from every angle, I needed a boot that was easy to put on, well constructed, comfortable. Check, check, and after sizing up half a size they are comfortable, and wait for it! Yes, the color is awesome! I ordered a size 8 due to the reviews, but walking around in them didn't loosen them up. Zappos was great in letting me exchange for an 8 1/2. It is pricey, my husband took one look at them and said "Ha! I like those"! He never does that! Win. Win. Okay ladies, what are you waiting for?

Super stylish, and a great option for those with shorter legs. They look great with skinny jeans or a skirt, and I love the option of wearing either one or both sides unzipped (there's a leather inner lining that makes this possible). I ordered my usual size, and they were tight on the toe box (really unusual for me) and slipped at the heel. Like other reviewers have said, they fit better and better with wear. I believe they came pre-treated, but I gave them a leather treatment anyway. They've done really well in the elements. A steep but worthwhile investment for sure. I'll enjoy these for years.

Love this boot! The color and quality of the leather are perfect. I did find these a little wide in the heel, as are most Frye boots on me. So those of you with a narrower foot might need to size down a half size to compensate for the heel slippage. i also wear a heaver sock. I'm usually a 7.5 or 8 narrow. Tried both the 7.5 and 8 in these and went with the 7.5. Sure wish Fry boots came in narrow sizes, as there is just no comparison in boot quality. Heel height is perfect and love the dual zippers.

These are cute boots and the quality is fabulous. I wear them with jeans and get compliments all the time. They did not require very much break in but I think they are slightly small for a 7.5

I purchased these boots to wear on a trip where weather & walking were an issue. They stayed home on this trip. They definitely required a breaking in period because of the stiffness of the leather. I didn't mind paying the $ for this substantial boot that will be in my collection for years to come. Zappos is great!

I hate to return these. One shoe fit like it was one size to small or rather narrow. The other fit perfectly. I decided to try to figure out why. I took my measuring tape to it. The Left shoe across the top of the toe at the widest part from inside to out side was ¼" smaller. The width of the Left was 5¼". The width of the Right shoe was 5½" QA problems at Frye. I cannot wear shoes like these. But thanks, Zappos. You are awesome! I might try to get lucky and order another pair.

I am wearing these for the first day today and I am a little undecided (I will totally update). These booties are gorgeous. I bought them in black and I can find a way for them to work out I want the Fawn as well. Onto the review. I own four other pairs of Frye boots, but this is my first bootie. I am always a size 11, but these (especially the right foot) feel too large. I think I can maybe fit a finger in between my heel and shoe. I also feel I might have some blistering after the first wear on the side of my heels, however, the leather on these feel great--they just might need some breaking in. I have been debating ordering a 10 and trying them on side by side, or getting some foot inserts.

Thought long and hard about spending so much money but splurged and loved how these boots looked when they arrived. Having read other "frye" reviews I decided to break them in over a about 4 days and they were pretty comfortable, a little tight at first but they loosened up and I was happy. Big problem though when I wore them out for the first time. By the end of the night both of my feet (back of ankles) were starting to really hurt and when I took off the boots the backs of my feet were shredded (skin gone) and were bleeding. This is very painful still. i can't believe this has happened even though I read the frye boots have a "heel slip" issue I never expected it to be this bad. The boots themselves are beautiful, top grade leather and really stylish. I wore them with tights and a dress and they looked amazing. I just feel that at his price I should not have the problem I now have. 5 days later and I'm still in flip flops and band aids on my feet. Not happy.

These are handsome boots, but are simply too small and narrow. I ordered two different Frye boots in size 7. I am keeping the Engineer R8 and returning these. They run narrow.
