I already wrote a review about the Dove Gray Arizonas with shearling. My review of the Bostons holds true. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too narrow. I felt like I was jamming my foot into the clog because the shearling takes up so much space. I have hundreds of Birkenstocks and I KNOW MY SIZE. These 38s felt like a 36. Please make these in regular width (IN THIS COLOR) for a future release. As I stated in my previous review of the shearling lined (narrow) Arizona, I own countless Birkenstocks. So when I tell you that these run narrow because of the shearling, I know what I am talking about. The issue that I have is with Birkenstock. Birkenstock, STOP RELEASING BIRKS in NARROW ONLY for your seasonal options. Most of your dedicated Birkenstock wearers, choose your brand because we have wide feet. Don't tell me that narrow accommodates narrow to normal width feet because it just **DOESN'T**!!! People who require regular width are BORED with your core colors. There are only so many brown and black Birks that we want to own. Those of us with a collection want the seasonal and limited edition choices. So, when you release an awesome color like Dove Gray, I try to jam my foot into a narrow, but it does not fit because there is a shearling lining. Think about it Birkenstock, your narrow width footbed is already smaller than a regular width. So when you add shearling to it, doesn't that make it extra narrow???? Why not make shearling in regular width so that your narrow and your regular width customers can both be happy??? No one has ever complained about a Birkenstock being too wide. You know why?? Because you can punch holes in the straps to make them tighter. You can't make a Birkenstock wider though. If you would just release everything in both narrow and regular and allow your customers "choice", you could make everyone happy. Rather than forgetting about those customers who loved your brand before Birks became "fashionable". Plus, your regular width Birkenstock fans could shop locally rather than searching the deep dark web to find a pair of unique Birkenstocks in regular width. ***Zappos, as always provides incredible customer service.*** Below is a photo that I attached of a regular width shearling Arizona (navy) next to these narrow width shearling Arizonas (gray). As you can see, the narrow is not accommodating to those with a "wide" foot. Zappos, thank you for making returns easy.

I thought how cool are these...great! These are going to be my in-house slippers. Love the thought of the warm shearling around my toes. Less than three month the shearling did not last and was disappointed in the quality. Thought for the price it would last longer than three months...save your money. Seems as though it is not evenly lined and it just rubs off in the front of the foot. Below are photos of the left & right foot interior to show that the shearling is worn off... Wish it was a better review...

This is going to be a flat-out rave. My feet are wide. Fred Flintstone-wide, with hammertoes and bunions that stick out so far they look like they're thumbing for rides. These Boston shearlings are both ultra-comfortable and supportive. The thing is, I ordered a "Narrow" and they fit PERFECTLY! Much more supportive and foot-hugging than a regular-width Birkenstock would be, (which I find cartoonishly wide.) Don't let the price stop you; it's worth it to have footwear made in Germany; not China. You pay for quality!

Mine felt short in the beginning, but after wearing them for a little while, the shearling settled and they fit perfect. I always wear a 39 N in Birks and it was no different with these. Another hint, they keep your feet even warmer without socks and since the shearling is real, they don't smell after wearing them with bare feet.

I’ve only had these 2 weeks and they are already falling apart. I’m wondering if they are fakes? I’ve worn them mostly in my home and into my garage/car a couple mornings. The shearling inside is completely ripping apart from the shoe. I’m worried they won’t have anything left inside after a few months of wear if they look this bad after two weeks of minimal wear.

On my second pair of these. I wear them around the house all the time even in summer because I have pretty bad plantar faciatis. These are the best and cozy too! The fur makes them even better on my arches I'm not sure why, but they are better in my feet than my regular birks. Worth the money I guess....

I love the Birk clog, and the shearling adds extra warmth and cushion. I ordered the next size up from my Birkenstock sandals because of the closed toe and shearling, and they fit perfectly (in sandals I am a perfect 39 narrow with no excess toe/heel room, in the clog I am a 40 narrow). I am upset about the state the shoes arrived in. This pair, and the first pair I ordered in a 39 that I am returning, have smudges on the top of the toe area. The bottom does not look work, just the suede on the top of the clog is smudged. Also, the 2nd shipment of the Birkenstock size 40 came without it's box, just in a plastic bag- what's up with that? This is an expensive shoe, and it's not like Zappos to send an inferior product without the box. I love the shoes and don't want to give them up, but may return for a pair with a box that doesn't look worn on top :(

Horrible! The dye from the black shearling wears off on your foot. The white doesn’t do that. Makes my feet look incredibly dirty and like a dead persons.

These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned and I love the way they keep my feet warm and cozy AND have great support. That said, the shearling just doesn’t last long enough. It would be great if these were made with replaceable insoles instead of having to buy new shoes every time the shearling wears out. The shoe at stuff is still in great shape. I would say the shearling lasts about one season of wearing the shoes. It’s just unacceptable for the price.

I own 8 pairs of Mayari, Gala, and Arizona’s, so I’m a bit of a Birks freak. I have been eyeing these for a long time and decided to try. I normally wear a 39 (8.5) and have a wide foot, so I sized up to a 40 since they are narrow and have the shearling. I am so glad I did. They are cozy, but hug my foot and my heel is not hanging off the end. I know they will stretch with time, so I prefer them to fit on the more snug side. The gray color is fabulous and will go with everything. I was worried about them looking clunky, but they are so cute with jeans or capris. I’m a teacher and will wear these a lot. I think I need another pair... i also sprayed them with leather water repellent since winter is coming. If you are on the fence, give them a try. Zappos return policy is dynamite.

I absolutely love my Birkenstock Bostons, but was looking for a warmer option for fall and winter. The Boston Shearlings did not disappoint! They are warm enough to wear outside, but not so hot that they make my feet sweat when worn inside. They are perfect for fall and winter! Even with the shearling they offer the same personalized support as regular Bostons. I cannot recommend these shoes enough.

I have had these shoes almost 4 months. Bought November 29. I only wear as slippers around the house. As I was standing up from sitting on couch, the inside button broke off and I cannot repair it. Very disappointed. Shoes are still like new. Thought they would last longer than this.

I love these Birks! Full disclosure: this is my first pair of Birkenstocks so I was very much on the fence in terms of sizing. After skimming through a lot of reviews it sounded like everyone was suggesting to go up a size, however I went with my gut and stuck with my true size. I'm a true US8.5/EU42 in almost all brands (Nike, Jordan, Vans) and went with the EU41(8-8.5) and they fit PERFECTLY. When first putting them on they felt maybe a smidge snug but then after a day of wearing they turned into the most comfortable pair of around-the-house shoes ever. After going through tons of reviews I think some confusion stems from people needing to size up from their normal non-shearling Birkenstock size which seems to be a size down for most. So in summary I'm guessing: My true size: US8.5/EU42 My Birkenstock size (say, normal Bostons or Arizonas): EU40 My Birkenstock Boston Shearling size: EU41 Hopefully this is helpful to those trying to sort sizing out!

The shoe feels great. I bought them for the fall. The only downside to this is it came in the box already scuffed. I would have returned if I wasn’t leaving for my trip with them. I still haven’t gotten the scuffs out but, the fit is great especially when you break them in a bit.

I love these slippers and want you to send out another pair. The problem is there is a scratchy open seam in the tight slipper that makes it impossible to wear comfortably. Please resend another pair that doesn't have this.

I wear this Birkenstocks as slippers and outdoors. They are very comfortable and warm. My only complaint is that they turn my feet black.

Love these!!!! I live in Michigan, and get tired of wearing my UGGS, these are the next best thing! I've been wearing these without socks in February and my feet are cozy warm.

I'm liking these though they took a bit of getting used to. I have a wide foot so I wear the buckle at most loose. What some reviewers say about a "rough seam" is true. The edge of the lambskin pokes up a bit. I put a small piece of moleskin over it and all is well. The shearling fluff gets more fluffy as I wear them. I also found that I had to get used to these a bit. I've learned to walk in them as if I'm barefoot -- and the shoe comes along for the ride. If I get too stiff in my stride, my leg and knee get stiff. Go with the flow. After one day of wear, they are conforming nicely to my foot. Wore them to an antique show -- a fair amount of walking.

The seam of glue inside the shoe rubs against foot in the most uncomfortable way. I think the glue attaches shearling to inside of shoe, unfortunately not carefully and feels like a sandpaper edge. I will try another pair and hope this will not be a problem. The shoe feels comfortable and the size is true to size, poor quality control.

This has been a continuous problem and have returned too many to list because as brand new Birks, they should not be scuffed fir the amount we pay. Thought this would be different with the new blue Birks. I’m very dissatisfied with the lack of quality control.

Because of other reviews I ordered a size up, but it was too large and I had to reorder a size smaller. I wear a 9.5 in regular shoes, a 40 in Birks and the 9-9.5 is perfect. I found the shearling made no difference in the size. Very comfortable and snuggly!

The little bump by the big toe felt out of place (I have two other pair of birkenstocks so I'm familiar with the fit.) I had a vague memory of having to break that in and soften it so I decided to wear them in the house for a few days before I returned them. They are definitely getting better and I'll probably keep them. The color doesn't look really brown to me. They are more of a deep loden green to my eye. I'm sorry that Birkenstock doesn't make the high arch any more. I really loved that fit.

I normally wear a 38 narrow in the Boston clog (Women’s 7-7.5), and although it has been suggested in other reviews to either size up or not get narrow width for the shearling style, I still got my usual 38 narrow in the Boston Shearling. I’m so glad I did. Yes, they are definitely more snug when you first get them due to the shearling lining, and I did for a moment second guess if I should return them for a larger size. But I kept them, and after walking around all day for a day or 2, the shearling flattens out some and the suede stretches and conforms to your foot to be ultra comfortable. I find Birkenstocks in general to be clownishly wide and can’t imagine getting anything that isn’t a narrow size, and the width of my foot is completely average. I think you would have to have a truly wide foot to get the regular width in Birks. I have wore these with medium thickness socks in about 35-50 degree weather and stayed warm.

To help with sizing- I always wear 37N in Birkenstock sandals. However, that is technically sizing down for me as I generally wear a 7 in all other shoes. I got these in 38N and they are perfect and feel snug. So technically, they are true to my regular size, but a size up from my Birkenstock size. I’m using them as slippers since I’m a new mom at home on my feet all the time and I love them! Not too warm but super cozy.
