hard to break in for a few days, and then magical once broken in. not as bulky as some doc martens, but not as sleek as a dress shoe - a happy combination of both. looks best with pants ending just at top of boot.

I love Doc Martens and jumped when I saw these on sale. Zappos has a great selection. These are stylish and well made. Can be worn at work or casual. As with all Doc Martens they require time to wear in. Also first time buyers take note of the UK sizing and order carefully. Great shoes; great service. I order Uk 7 which is US 8. Fit right.

These are great utilitarian boots. Not the sleekest boots I have owned but good for rainy and snowy days. I wore Blundstones for years but the sidewalks of NYC destroyed the soles with just a bit of wear. The soles are sturdy and I think they will last a while. Get the Dr. Martens leather treatment if you plan to wear these in rain and muck.

Absolutely LOVED these boots. The fit was perfect and they are so chic for a man or a woman. These were purchased for a woman this time. The perfect everyday boot!

After a series of uncomfortable or flimsy Chelsea boots, I have been so excited to see this entry. Doc Martens have a reputation for durability (I still have a pair from the late '90s!), but this boot proves that the company can also look amazing. The Chelsea boot is the most versatile of men's footwear, going from work to a casual night out, and I have faith that this pair will last me the next few years.

I'm not sure if it is too early to provide such enthusiastic praise for my Victor Chelsea Boots, as I've just taken delivery yesterday, but here goes: these are without fail one of the best pairs of shoes I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. Right out of the box, the fit was perfect. The quality and finish of the leather is excellent. They look great with jeans, and can be put into service as "dress casual" or just throwing on to walk down to the local coffee shop. Highly recommended.

Biggest problem was that they were too small for me. (Not uncommon -- I'm sometimes 13s, sometimes 14s and can rarely find the perfect fit. Tried the US 13s, FYI.) Seemed like the support would be pretty good, and I loved how easy they were to put on and take off. However, the next biggest problem kept me from searching for a better size: my wife said they looked like sterile hospital boots. I don't entirely disagree. Not the coolest looking boot in my honest opinion, but they're not terrible, and if it fits I can see that this might be very comfy.

I really love the boots but I ran into a few issues, the grain leather is soft. Boots are cold on cooler weather, not much for insulation. Also, the sizing was tough, sized the same as my 2967 Chealsea boot (which I love and do everything with, including heavy hiking and melting the soles on accident in campfires but boots still great) anyways, sizing is tough, boot is a little tight and my right foot is my larger foot. The discomfort is just enough that I think I have lost some money on some boots.

I love the style but they are uncomfortable. I ordered I usually take a 10.5 to 11 and ordered an 11 figuring I would have thicker socks. They were a little loose so I ordered inserts and now they are a tad tight. They really rub at the top of the boot. Hopefully they will break in. I am kind of disappointed.
