I've been wearing the professional closed back clog for 10+ years and have always been a 38. As a physical therapist, the heel on the clog occasionally gets in the way when trying to demonstrate exercises so I was looking for something a little more sturdy and more secure on my foot. I was excited to see these online and figured they would be perfect. For me, they run at least a full size too big. I'm usually a 7-7 1/2 in a closed shoe and always a 38 in the professional clog (not the ProXP -- they run big for me too). I returned for a smaller size, but for some reason the 37 in this style still feels a little big. I'm also not sure if they're supposed to move up/down in the back when you walk like the closed back clogs considering they're more of a shoe, but this style does for me. The footbed softer and more cushioned, however, I feel the clog has better arch support. Unfortunately, they will have to go back. Thanks to Zappos for super fast shipping and return processing!!

If I could wear my Dansko professionals hiking, I would, but some of the things that make them so perfect for city walking are exactly the things that mean they don't do well in the woods. These do - and they look pretty good, too. Happily for me, they also run narrower, so I can wear a medium in this style (while I need to buy narrow professionals). I did have to size down, though - so extra thanks to Zappos for your always fabulous free returns.

I love these shoes. I have lots of Dansko shoes and the old ones are heavy and clunky. These are light and fit perfectly. I found, through the years, that some Danskos were short and my toes were right up against the toe box. These fit great. I am either a 9 or 9-1/2 depending on the shoe. I ordered a 40 and they fit perfectly. They are incredibly comfortable and I love the color.

When I saw a Dansko shoe with a Vibram sole I HAD to try it. this is the third Dansko I've tried on in the last few months and I have to say, "Shame on you Dansko - for narrowing your toe box!" No wonder the last pair I bought doesn't look as clown-like - the toe box is indeed narrower. Defeats the main reason I buy these shoes. Returning them and probably not buying Danskos again.

These are great if you're looking for an alternative to the Dansko clogs that you won't fall off. In the clogs I was always rolling my ankle, but they were so comfy. These are close. They take some breaking in, but they are now my go-to shoes when I'm on call in the hospital. Wish they were cuter.

I am just returning from the mountains where I could walk all day in my boots with a Vibram sole. So I wanted to try these. As most know, Dansko runs large. I ordered my usual size in Dansko. I am a true 6 1/2 and ordered the 36. They are still a little big, but that is the fit of Dansko, a little roomy, definitely not narrow. The Vibram sole is amazing and offers a lot of support for someone with foot and ankle reconstruction. This shoe has the advantage of helping you not turn your ankle, a problem with the clogs.

These are my favorite shoes for my pathetic, banged up feet. They run a tiny bit big but they hug my feet and I can walk and walk in them, or stand all day or do anything except hike (they're not supportive enough around the ankle for that, but who wears a clog hiking?). I wish Dansko (or someone) would design a shoe this comfortable and supportive that was stylish, too. I'd buy every pair.

I work in the food industry so I tend to purchase shoes that are more comfortable than stylish, however, these are both! They are a great fit and I can stand on my feet all day with no problems, like other Danskos I've had. These have held up well, better than some of my other 'professional' grade ones. They can take the harsh chemicals and all it takes is a little cleaning and polishing to make them look like new.

I think the fact that this is the 2nd pair in my closet says it all. Love the support and protection on wet sidewalks.

I had high hopes for these shoes. I started wearing Dansko Professional clogs back before the split with Sanitas and they fit great. A few years ago I tried another pair and found them to be quite wide. I was hoping with the reviews of this shoe that wouldn't be the case and for the most part it wasn't. The width worked for me except in the heal. This was more than the typical slipping you get with a clog. I stepped right out of these. I suppose my heel is a bit on the narrow side, but not overly so. Unfortunately they had to go back. The structure of the shoe was great and I loved the insoles with the soft support. The shoe felt much more stable than the clogs. The sole, while flexible, was still substantial enough to protect your feet from rocks and such. I ordered the brown milled nubuck, which in my opinion, was lighter than the picture on my monitor -- leaning more toward the tan side. It really is a nice shoe, it just didn't fit me.

Love these shoes, this is my second pair. I am a nurse and these provide excellent support, and unlike other Danskos there is no breaking in period. Also, I love the soft Vibram soles, they provide excellent traction especially on wet floors from housekeeping. Zappos is the only place I can find these.

These are great! As a surgical resident, I am often on my feet for more than 18 hours at a time. My feet take quite a beating. I wore Dansko Professional clogs for many years, but would roll my ankle from time to time in those. I was always afraid I would roll my ankle on the stairs and hurt myself. So, I have been on a quest to find a replacement that are as good for standing in the operating room, but more stable. The Celestes are it! I wore them for a 24 hour shift right out of the box and they are great. Lighter than the professional clogs, stable, and quite comfortable. They certainly run more narrow than the clogs, but that is ok on my feet. My only concern is that they are warm - worried they might not breathe enough and will start to stink.

I love these shoes! I have worn other Dansko clogs in the past, and after reading the reviews was concerned whether these would fit as well as the typical style. As far as I'm concerned, these are even better. They are more stylish although equally comfortable. There were a few reviews that suggested they run big, and the first pair I ordered did run big, so I returned them and ordered one size smaller. The next pair was perfect! Thank you Zappos for your easy return policy, and the speed in which I received the second pair.

Great shoes. Bit narrower than other Dansko clogs but after wearing for a day stretched to the perfect size. Great for walking and look less clunky than similar slip on shoes of this style.

I can wear these all day, every day. After 2 months, I bought a second pair in another color. Not as clunky (or as much arch support) as the traditional Dansko clogs (which I also love).

After several other purchases (including Merrell, Joseph Seibel, Dansko, and Keen) and attempting to be a bit more stylish and less clunky, I ordered these shoes. They were awesome, great support, well made, quality material, roomy in the toe box, but casual. I felt guilty about buying another pair of casual shoes since I have several so I returned them. That was in September. Now it is January, and I think I'm going to reorder and keep them this time.

I have severe back and neck problems, and have been trying to find a pair of shoes that will help me stand or walk for extended periods of time without pain. I have found what I was looking for with these shoes!! They feel like I am walking on a cloud, and since I began wearing them, I have no fatigue in my feet, back, or spine. They are very fashionable, look great with any pants, and are my go-to shoes every day now. I love these shoes, and hope to order another pair soon. They did not need a break-in period, and are a bit narrower that the professional pair. In addition, the leather is nice and soft. LOVE!

I came back for a second pair, this time the brown burnished. The first pair was the grey. They are great walking shoes for shopping to hikes in the woods. The waterproofing is a great benefit here in the northeast.

These are the perfect shoes for walking around the wet streets of Portland. I don't have a car, and I tend to come down with plantar fasciitis, so the right shoes are essential. I ordered my usual size 38 which was TOO BIG. The 37's fit like a dream, and Zappos made it easy to switch. I ordered a burnished leather pair, and tested them standing in a "puddle" in the bathtub. They're water tight, and offer good support and shock absorption. It's easy to keep your footing on slippery sidewalks and streets.

This is a comfortable shoe. I also own the Dansko Pro XP clog. The footbed of this shoe is softer than the XP. It also seems to fit a big larger than the XP in the same size. I'm not sure if I got a size slightly too large for me. If I wear thin socks, the fit is a little sloppy. If I wear thicker socks the fit is a little more slug. I believe the heel is supposed to move up and down in this style, but it does take some getting used to. Overall, it is a very comfortable shoe. I just wore them hiking today with no problems.

This was not the shoe that I was looking for, but after reading so many glowing reviews I had to give it a try. I have had it for a couple of weeks now and have to agree - it is the most comfortable shoe that I have ever owned. My feet feel as if they are cradled and they were comfortable right out of the box. I wore them to a three day conference with slacks and skirts during the day and jeans at night; I did not need any other shoes and my feet felt the same at the end of the three days as at the beginning. That said, they do fit differently than regular Danskos - definitely narrower in the forefoot. I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel. The heel collar prevents slipping without rubbing. Style is my only issue - if they could add some detail to the top, they would be perfect.

I was disappointed that Dansko no longer makes the Kappy model shoe, but the Celeste style fits the same way. It's comfortable, has good arch support, and makes my wide foot look smaller and neater.

It has taken me a little while to break these in. I am use to wearing Keens which have a large toe box. My little toe on my right foot is still irritated, but is getting better. I wear a 9 in reg. shoes. I ordered the 39 med. in these and they run larger. They are very sturdy and are becoming more comfortable as I wear them. They will be a great winter shoe.
