Black flats are a staple in my daily wardrobe. Finding a pair that comfortably fit my wide feet has been literally a pain in the foot! I have tried many brands offering wide widths; this pair ranks number one in comfort for me. The width is perfect and the leather is amazingly soft that there is barely any break-in needed. In terms of support, it is average, but nothing that can't be fixed with a gel insert. In all, I highly recommend these flats to anyone with wide feet that need a comfortable and stylish solution!

Finally, a ballet flat that might work for my wide feet and one bunion. I'll have to order a half size up, though. Instead of my usual 7W or 7.5B I'll need an 8W, as they run short (good width, though). The leather is nice and soft, and forgiving. I like the rubbery no-slip sole. They're very cute, no curled-up "elf toe", straight forward and clean (no bows, etc.) which I prefer. The bone color is pretty, though I'd rather have more of a tan/flesh tone. They have a little padding inside. I'll probably add an arch support for longer periods on my feet.

Love these! They are awesome: fit well (like the name), soft leather that gives just a little. No toe cleavage if that sort of thing matters to you. They run just a tiny bit small on me; I usually wear 8 1/2 but 9 fit perfectly.

Update: Half a size larger is fine, and referencing the other reviewer's comment, the squishy noise goes away with stockings. I selected this shoe because of its resemblance to a Regency style circa 1810. I have not yet worn it on the street, but it was fine for half a day of standing and walking indoors. It would probably work as a stage costume shoe, but will not pass with serious re-enactors as it does not have a leather sole.

These run at least a size smaller. They have complete toe coverage for those who prefer a longer vamp. If your toes are at all thick, they will not be very comfortable as the toe space is quite small.

These shoes are very comfortable, and I was pleased when I first put them on. However, after only a week of wearing them to work they look really worn out. The material has stretched and worn in an unattractive way that makes it look like I've been wearing these shoes daily for years. Very disappointed, would not recommend.

These shoes are just badly designed. The 8.5 was too tight and the size 9 was too loose! The sides of the shoe didn't hold my feet in properly. The shoes also made that annoying squishing sound when I walked around the room.

A perfect flat! I ordered a half size larger because other flats I've tried seem to run small. Fits perfectly and is so comfortable.

cannot say enough good things about these shoes. I got the Black Leather in size 9, and they fit like a glove. I bought them to wear while running a 3-day conference that had over 1,000 people (and only 5 staff). Needless to say, I was bound and determined to find a perfect pair of shoes. The leather was really soft so I didn't even have to break them in. I walked about 25-30 miles each day and only got 1 tiny blister on the top of each foot. (Meanwhile my coworkers' feet were covered in bandaids and moleskin.) I wasn't worried about the comfort in the soles because I knew that after so much walking, it wasn't going to matter either way, but they actually had decent soles, too. Also, I am usually a fan of a little "toe cleavage" because I prefer the visual proportions of shoe-to-skin, but I knew that would be a bad plan with so much walking because the shoes wouldn't be able to stay on. These come up high enough that they stay on your feet really well, but are still low enough that they are cute. These shoes are the perfect balance of professional/attractive and comfortable. (Also, this was not something that I was going to even bother planning for, it was just a nice added bonus: because they are made of real leather, they still smell good, even after all of my walking in them without socks on!)

As several other reviewers have stated, these shoes seem to run a half size smaller. I'm a pretty true 9.5M and the shoes were just not long enough for my feet. Unfortunately, a 10 is not available in the specific color I wanted (cognac vintage leather) but if they come back in stock I will definitely reorder. The color and style is great!

Great basic flat. Very comfortable. Be sure to get them tight and stretch them out before starting a return. I thought I needed a half size bigger, ordered them, and now am going back to the original small size. Just wear a pair of socks around the house in these shoes and they will stretch out perfectly. Now I can wear them all day and I've only had them a week.

I love these! They had been comfortable for wearing around work and out and about, but then! They got me through an entire weekend of tourist activities in D.C. without pain in my hips or feet from walking. 15,000 steps in one day and only general exhaustion got me down - my feet felt great! I came back here to order many more pairs!

These shoes are well made and have been very comfortable from day one. I order a wide width which works well for me. They are a simple and classic flat if that is what you are looking for, but they do not any kind of arch support.

The first flat I have found that is truly Wide when you order Wide and true to size. The leather is soft and it only took 1-2 days of a little discomfort to wear them in. Now they are like walking on air. I am so used to every shoe I own hurting me, that by the end of the day when I get home from work, I continue to wear them as I get dinner ready, help with homework, etc. Usually the shoes come off the second I walk through the door. Great look, goes with everything, stylish, not too "old lady" looking. Perfect in every way! I'm so glad I found them. Thanks Zappos!

I think these are a really cute pair of ballet flats -- classic! If you don't mind showing a bit of toe cleavage, they go especially well with skirts and jeans. The shoes fit well (like the brand name) but the left heel on my pair did tend to rub when they were still new.

I love these shoes. They are comfortable albeit flat, cute, with no toe cleavage. I wear them everyday all day, and I can tell that they will not last long, though. If you teeter on two sizes (7 or 7½) get the smaller size as the shoes stretch a little.

I absolutely loved these shoes. I am debating buying another pair in a different color. These shoe do not have fantastic arch support but they are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever tried on out of the box and they never gave me blisters or rubbing issues. I am a true size 7 and they fit perfectly.

I wore these new shoes to a 4-hour wedding and reception. Very comfortable the whole time, standing, walking, and dancing. Despite them being flats with a fairly thin bottom, the arch support was such that I never had aching feet. Soft leather, worth every penny.

I wear these to work whenever I can't decide on which shoe to wear. They go with everything, and they look nice. I wouldn't recommend walking miles in them, but once you break them in they're comfortable.

Love these shoes. They're a nice, plain, classic ballet flat. Based on other reviews, I ordered a half size up. Could probably have gone a whole size up, but they're still fairly comfortable.

Great flat. All leather skimmer for a reasonable price. Very cushy and felt great first time out of the box.

The Carmene is the 'little black dress' of footwear. Classic. Versatile. Basic, but not dowdy. Bought these in black for an event that required prolonged standing, and I can attest that they offer solid four-star comfort (docked a star due to minor pinching). Highly recommend them.
