I've been trying to find a boot to replace the pair of insulated/lug-soled Columbia's I had for years and thought these were going to be the winning boot, for both their look and their functionality. Sadly I was wrong. While I normally wear a size 10 (never larger, occasionally smaller), as soon as I slid my feet into this boot, I knew they'd be going back. The insulated lining is really thick. Like *really really* thick. So thick it takes up almost every bit of empty space inside the boot (at the ankles and over the top of the foot are especially thick) But even without all that padding my toes still would have hit the front so back they went and in came the size 11 (no 10.5's). I was hopeful and thought, if anything, the 11's are likely going to be too big. I was wrong. They barely offered more space inside than the pair of 10's. But the biggest downfall of these boots is that insulated lining. It's just too thick. It's so thick, in fact, that it does the opposite of what it should do: It cuts the mobility in your toes (couldn't wiggle them no matter how hard I tried) and it cuts the circulation in your feet. I didn't notice that was happening until I took them off (wore them for 10 minutes while sitting on my couch to see how warm they would get). As soon as I slid my foot out, I could feel the blood (and warmth) coming back to my feet. So needless to say, they're going back this week and my search for a quality boot continues...

I wear a wide width shoe and am hard to fit. I wanted a boot for hiking on snow packed terrain. These Chilkat III boots are toasty warm. Plenty of room in the toe. The perfect fit with medium weight SmartWool socks.

So I have been looking for a good sturdy but comfortable winter boot for 2yrs now. I have ordered and tried on dozens of pairs. Happy to say, LOVE the way these fit. Foot slides in easily. Based on other reviews, I did order up 1/2 size and am glad I did. I can wear with both thin and thick socks but would be too small if I ordered my regular size 9. Will be wearing these walking the dog, shoveling snow, running errands. Comfortable for all needs.

Amazing, life changing footwear!! These are like attaching clouds to your feet - snuggly warm, super rugged, yet stylish, clouds. They are super padded for warmth and comfort, but also very structured for hiking on rough terrain. I highly recommend!! Tip: I did end up buying 1/2-1 size larger than I usually wear because they were so padded inside. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9 and ended up returning a size 9 for a 9.5 and they are perfect.

LOVE these boots. Bought them for a late winter trip to Iceland and couldn't be happier. My feet were never the slightest bit cold. I typically wear a 8.5-9, but based on the reviews here, I ordered a 10 and they fit great even with slightly heavy socks. After about 4 months of wearing, the inside is still very cushiony and they don't look worn at all-but I'm not a serious hiker. They were very comfortable from the first time I put them on and really did not require any breaking in other than getting used to the weight of them-they are heavy. I will buy these again and again if they ever wear out.

I picked these boots at a replacement for an 8 year old pair of North Face boots that crumbled. These boots are durable and pretty warm. I've used them for hiking or snowshoeing in the Rocky Mountains in the winter. Traction is really good and they are very comforatble and seem durable. This review comes after numerous hikes of at least 2 to 6+ miles. North Face was top notch replacing my boots since my older pair basically fell apart. I can't think of 1 negative thing about these boots.

I wore these boots to hike in 3 degree weather on packed snow without slipping once. They kept my normally cold feet toasty warm and dry. I was completely surprised by how soft and cozy they feel. I couldn't be more delighted with this product and Northface's reliable, speedy service. I've already recommended them to my hiking friends. :))

The warmest, most comfortable winter boot that I have ever owned! I took the advice from other reviews and ordered one size larger and they fit perfectly! I’m normally an 8.5 and I ordered a 9.5 and it was perfect! At first, when I put them on, it took a few seconds to adjust to the elevated heel because it was nothing like my other winter boots. I walked around the house for a few minutes and fell in love with these boots! The warmth is unbelievable and I couldn’t get over how comfortable they felt. I did not notice any “hot spots.” These are truly worth every penny!

I was looking for warm, comfortable boots to wear before/after skiing, plus everyday warmth for errands, and for snowshoeing. Didn't think I could do that with one pair of boots? I did--these. They are very soft and luxurious inside, stylish and waterproof on the outside. Not too heavy or clunky, which I like because I've been wearing them every day with jeans or leggings, not too wide (many other brands are). There has been snow on the ground for months, these are great.

I saw some comments that said they came up a little bit small and at first I thought they were right. But the padding and insulation takes 2 or 3 wearings to settle down into your perfect foot/ankle shape so stick with them. Then you will be as pleased I am

THESE SHOES ARE AMAZING! I wear them frequently in the Maryland weather and is very durable. Not only does it keep my feet warm; but, it is also very stylish. I really enjoy the green lining of the shoe. The colors are exactly shown in the picture. I wear a size 9 in Nike free run shoes and I used the shoe matcher to find my size. It told me to order an 8.5. BUT, I decided to order a 9 just in case i wore thick socks and that was a great decision. I am so glad I bought these shoes, I walk around campus in the show and rain and they never fail to keep me warm. I highly recommend this product.

I love the North Face boot, first time buying a pair, they are very comfortable and soft, lightweight, well worth the money, you will not be disappointed in the boot. They are light weight and warm and they are a very good looking boot on top of all that. They look great with jeans over top of your pants, all around a very good looking pair of boots. I will if ever have to buy another pair will buy them again, so yes purchased yourself a pair, you will love them.

I'm a security officer @ an outdoor mall, so being able to keep my feet dry & warm is a must. These are the first pair of boots I've gotten in 3 years that have actually kept my feet dry & warm. Plus with bad circulation in my legs my feet get cold, but not with my new boots, now I'm looking to get some for my husband!

Northface stood behind it's guarantee and replaced a pair of boots that were defective. I was so happy that they lived up to the warranty. Love this company!

I recently bought these for our cold snowy and icy winters in Maryland. They are really warm and keep my feet very dry. They are definitely structured but provide great protection and have excellent traction. I've been wearing them with regular socks and my feet are still so warm. They have alot of cushioning, especially in the toe area so you definitely need a bigger size. I went up a full size and they fit very comfortably

These boots are great. I had the forethought to order half a size larger than I normally wear. This was a good move. Half a size larger fits great with heavy socks.
