I searched high and low for a boot like this! So happy with them. I wanted something to keep my feet dry and warm in the fall/winter months that I could throw on to go run errands around town or walk to pick my kids up at school on cold or rainy days (not truly intended for snow days because I have other boots for that, but I think they would hold up if I got caught in some winter weather for sure!), yet rugged to go on light hikes and adventures. We live in Colorado where the weather can do a 180 without warning, so I needed something that would really be ready for anything. These are stylish enough and just the perfect amount of hiking boot, without looking like you just came off the mountain. They are kind of edgy (I like it) to wear with skinny jeans or look great with boot cut or trouser pants. Also, super comfortable, super light weight, and not at all "clunky" like so many other Keens. I love wearing them and sometimes even forget to take them off after coming in the house. At first, I was afraid they'd be a little tough to get on and off but after a wear or two, they are surprisingly easy. Like, really easy. Having a narrow foot, I also appreciate the lace - as I can tie them as tight as I need without the lace slipping like a lot of other similar boots. They tie and stay tied. Initially, I was looking for a black or dark grey, but ended up with "cascade brown" (really more like an army green) and am very happy with it. It's pretty neutral to match anything. I wear 8.5 in running shoes and got an 8.5 in these boots, so true to size. My foot is thin/narrow and these are fit fine, but would also fit a wider foot/ankle I'd imagine since you can adjust the tightness of the lace. While shopping, I also tried the following, but found these Keens to be the best fit, value, and most versatile for my needs: Soloman Mid-hime, Ahnu Northridge, Ahnu Sugarpine, Vivobarefoot Tracker, Keen Bryce boot, Columbia Minx pull-ons, Merrell Haven, Timberland Mosley.

Great boots! I've worn them in sub zero temps, walked through puddles and in snow and they kept my feet warm and dry. As mentioned, they're more grey than black in color. Size was true. A decent amount of arch support and there's a removable liner so I could wear my orthotics if I wanted. I like that they're not clunky or stiff...very comfortable for walking around town.

I love this boot, let me say that upfront. I love this boot. However...the black is not black. By no stretch of the imagination is it black - it's grey. So if you want a black boot, don't get this one. Also, it looks much more casual on that the picture suggests. When they peek out under a pair of jeans, they look like hiking books. And that's fine if you're looking for a good casual pair of boots. I was hoping for a dressier boot that I could wear with a black outfit, and sadly, they won't really work for that. But they are great boots and I love them.

These are the winter boots I've been looking for forever. They are cute, but most importantly, they are warm, waterproof, and feel good on my feet. They have gotten me through the last three huge blizzards here in Boston: I've stayed upright on ice, gone ankle-deep in slush, and my feet stay dry. I bought the Bossa-Nova (red) color and love it. I wear size 10 wide and the 10.5 fit perfectly with thick socks. (In snow, you want thick socks anyway!) The laces make for a secure fit. I added inserts for my high arches and while I wish there was just a bit more tread, I am thrilled overall.

Very comfortable right out of the box as most Keens are. I have always loved the wide toe box. If I could change anything, I would add a minimum 200 thinsulate and I did change out the shoe strings.

These boots are cute as can be! They seem to be truly waterproof, I don jump in puddles, but I do walk in the rain. I've been very pleased with all of the Keens I've purchased. Zappos, you're service is amazing!

Very comfortable and lightweight boot. Toe box is ample without being super wide like most Keen shoes. The black color is definitely not black but more of a charcoal gray. I am usually an 8 or 8.5 in Keens and the 8 fit great.

I love these boots! I've already worn them in slushy, wet tall grass and through patches of muddy ice. They're tough, clean up well, and very cute. I wear a 10 across the board, these fit perfectly and are really comfortable. Very happy with my new Keens!

Comfortable and warm. I've worn these A LOT. I did end up using an insole for some extra padding. I would LOVE it if they had a zipper. There is plenty of room in the toe area.

So stinking cute! I love the way these look and feel. They have lots of style, especially in the rust color. I take a 9 or 9.5. I ordered a 9 and they fit perfectly.

Usually, I order Keens a half size up. After reading the reviews, however, I ordered my usual size 9. PERFECT fit with medium thick socks! I pulled these boots from the box, laced them up, and felt instant comfort. So, I walked the dog two miles and had happy feet all the way. Honestly, they feel good enough to sleep in. Plus, they're cute as puppies. They aren't hiking boots. They're more like the ultimate high top tennis shoe which is something I've been looking for in a boot. After three ankle surgeries, I'm particular about ankle protection. And these boots bring it and more. Thank you Keen! Zappos, I love you. Thanks for loving me back. Best customer service EVER. Consistently good. You're the master class.

Love the look of this boot. I have another size 11 Keen snow boot and my toes are at the top of the boot. I ordered the size 11 in this Keen Reisen boot and my toes have lots of wiggle room, so they are a 1/2 size larger than expected. I normally wear a 11.5 so they worked out perfect! I had to add gel cushion inserts for added cushion and support, not super cushy on their own. That is the only bad thing I could find about these boots. I am really happy with these boots!

These were such a splurge, but so worth it. They've already turned into my favorite shoe this fall/winter in the rainy Pacific Northwest. So far, in two weeks of wearing them, they've kept my feet dry at the Oregon Coast, kept me from falling on my butt (ice) at a rest stop in the Columbia River Gorge, and saved my ankles and kept my feet warm trekking through muddy fields and woods during my family's annual Thanksgiving Pumpkin Shoot. They run true to size; I'm usually a 9-9.5 and the 9 fits beautifully with regular cotton socks (wool socks and the 9 add a bit too much bulk and make them uncomfortable). I don't think wool socks are necessary, at least not in my climate (I currently live in the Portland area), but they might be someplace like Spokane, where it gets colder. I have foot issues (prone to ankle sprains, bruised my heelbone this summer wearing inappropriate shoes to run around Seattle, wide feet) and I love these. Not sure they would be awesome in heavy snow, just because the sole lacks some of the traction I like in my heavy snowboots, but they're perfect for the we(s)t side of the Pacific Northwest, and they'll be great for fall and spring all over (and I have lived all over the PNW).

These are the boots I've been looking for. They are very light and don't have a thick heel. The rise from front to back is more level. I've sprained my ankle in hiking boots because they are so stiff and have high, thick heels that leave my foot unable to respond to changes in terrain like rocks and roots. These are my dog walking, hiking boots with a bit of a minimalist feel. Super roomy in the toe box, warm and good ankle support. I bought the black and it is more of a gray. Only drawback is that the suede collects little debris and pine needles and such so they need a little dusting off after being in the woods.

I picked up the cascade brown -- so not! It truly is an army green color. Which actually I love, very neutral color if you ask me. I normally wear a size 11 in Keens -- they usually run short. My true size is a 10. In this boot, I got my foot in a 9 1/2 -- still can't believe it! They run big -- I have a normal width foot. I love the burnished look to the front and back. Like you've already scuffed them up and gotten dirty. I live in Minnesota -- we get a lot of cold and snow. This is going to be my running around boot -- back and forth to work and errands. It's not the boot you're going to get the snowblower out and plow the driveway out -- I will save my Sorels for that. The boot is supposed to be waterproof up to a certain point -- on Keens website they specifically say no puddles for this boot. It truly is a lightweight boot also, which I like.

Cute style. Nice wide toes, just like my favorite Keens (ancient Presidios). Not great fit, though. I ordered a 9 but it was way too big...felt like at least a 9.5, maybe a 10. It also felt wide, but reasonably so for a boot you're likely going to wear winter socks with. Looks-wise, the only thing I wasn't sure about was the "distressing" done to the suede. If you're a fan of Keens, you'll appreciate these...if you wear a 9, order down a half size.

These are actually really cute boots; however, I needed something that would be comfortable for city walking. For most people these would be great for walking but I could feel my floor right through the outer front sole. I also have a narrow foot and they ran a little big in the ankle but if I were to use a thicker sock they might have been fine. The toe box was roomy and I might have been able to fill it in with a thicker sock. The color is off black and the suede and construction seem very well made for the price. If the sole would have had more rubber, I would have kept them. Sadly I will be returning them.

I like the color and style of these boots, but I realized once I got them, that they have no zipper. I don't want to have to lace and unlace every time I take them off, so back they go.

These are comfortable and look nice. My one complaint is that they are not as waterproof as I would like. They are fine for walking through the grass or a wet sidewalk, but not ideal for a very rainy day or stepping in puddles. Also, the black ones are actually grey. I think it is a nicer color, and better than if they were black, but it should be known that this is not a black boot.

Nice mix of combat/hiking style. I'm typically a 7.5, an 8 in athletic shoes. A size 7 fit with these and still have room for thick socks. Good ankle support and toe protection but light weight. Could look clownish on bigger feet. Not a lot of arch support (get inserts if you need it!).

I normally wear a size 8 in keens (own the Presidio, the Whisper, and the Venice in this size) and ordered the Reisen Boot in an 8 also. I have a moderately wide foot and the width felt appropriate, but I did have a good deal of space beyond the toes at the end. I did not like the style in person as much as I did in pictures. I had to tighten the laces around the ankle (I have normal to beefy ankles) in order to feel secure, but this made my feet appear comically large. While pretty comfortable overall, one shoe did put pressure on the bony part of the top of my foot. I will return these shoes - disappointed, I thought they looked really cute online!

I have purchased at least 12 pairs of Keens over the years. I've been searching for a lace-up ankle boot for winter and was glad to see this Reisen. For me, these boots did not have enough structure and support. I have a slender foot, size 9, with a narrow heel. Keen usually works for me. I like the look of the boot with the side buckle, laces, and stitching, (although I'm not a big fan of the suede look, or the faded color style). Having said that, they were cool enough to keep if the support was there. Unfortunately, these were too floppy for me in the ankle and arch. I think most people may have good luck with this boot, but for my skinny foot it did not work.

These are adorable boots. I generally rely on Keen, since I need more room in the toe box than most shoes offer, and Keen is generally pretty good in that regard. I was so disappointed when I tried on these boots. They felt like they were two different sizes. I checked. They both had size 8.5 tags in them. The right boot was sized correctly. The left felt at least a half size smaller. The stitching that attached the tongue to the boot on the right was so tight that it cut into my foot. Zappos, as always, is awesome. Keen is losing my respect, and my money. I'm willing to pay more for shoes that are well made. I'm starting to think I'm willing to pay a good bit more for shoes made in the US by people who give a darn about their product. The boots are going back. I'm happy for all of you folks who got a good pair. I guess luck wasn't with me on this purchase.

I really wanted to like this boot. They are nice looking boots and have both the urban look meets outdoors. You get waterproof and not overly hiking boot look. The problem was they just didn't seem to fit right. I usually wear 9 9.5 and I ordered a 9, too big. I ordered a 8.5 and they are still too big. I think it might have to do with the wide toe design of the boot. I was going to try for a 8 and see how it goes.
