Briggs is a sturdy shoe and I'm so glad Keen brought it back. It's firm underfoot and very stiff at the midsole. If you want a lightweight, highly cushioned, flexible shoe, this is not the shoe for you. These are my primary shoes and I wear them for walking in place of walking sneakers. I also like them for light trail walking. I've bought two more pair. Fit: It is marked as medium width, but I'd call it a C/D across the ball of the foot. The oblique toe shape can make it feel even wider. The leather is good enough quality to have them stretched to a EE (a good cobbler could do this). The heel is on the narrower side, and there's enough room and shoelace length for a high instep.

Best shoe Keen has put out in a while. Well made with the wide toe box they were originally known for. I love them!

Good quality shoe but just didn't fit me right. My heel felt like it wanted to slip I think due to there not being much of a lip in the back. It's shorter or lower cut than say the keen presidio. Also across the top of shoe right where they tie it was uncomfortable- it seemed to be too tight or just rubbed wrong there. So although I liked the way they looked on my foot and the quality I am sending them back. They're just not comfortable!

Very happy with my Keen Briggs. It's my first Keen shoe. I've been going through a major transformation with finding the right footwear for my changing feet. I require a wide and firm toe bed, but have a somewhat narrow heel; a bone spur; off & on plantar fascitis. I walk a lot and hike. After wearing them in the house and deciding to keep them, I took them hiking at Capitol Reef. No problems at all. Clark Waves were not supportive enough. Now I need to find a great athletic shoe as well.

I own several pairs of Keen shoes in different styles. I like Keens because my orthotics fit inside of them. Keens are well made and have a firm sole. This style of Keen fits a little differently. It has a very wide toe box and seems slightly shorter. Also it is not quite as deep as other styles, so with the orthotic inserts your foot sits a little high. Still, the orthotics fit in well enough and I like the shoe.

I love these shoes! Comfy, good looking. I've been wearing them all week since I got them. I say moderate arch support as I have very high arches and added a small arch support which I purchased at the pharmacy.

I ordered the Briggs and the Presidio because I was unsure of which ones to get and how they were different. It was a close call between the two but I decided to return the Briggs. Only because they were a tad too short and my toes touched the ends. This has never been the case for me with Keens in the past but otherwise everything else was great with this shoe. They were a bit wider than the Presidio as well.

This is probably about the 5th pair of Briggs I have owned. Keen used to have one called Brooklyn which is essentially the same shoe and I had a few pairs of those before. They fit really well with a wide toe box which is a must have for me due to previous broken bones in my right foot (also great if you have bunions) which left me with the ball of my foot wide but the rest of my foot normal width. They require almost no breaking in and have decent arch support for my high arches. The insole is removable so when they get worn I can replace them with new insoles (I use superfeet) which extends the life of the shoe. I stand/walk a lot at work - on concrete - and won't wear anything but Keens.

Lives up to the Keen name. Comfortable, well made, and stylish. True to size, width, and description. Just wish they were made in the USA like the Keen Piedmonts I bought my husband.

These are hideous. I couldn't bring myself to try them on, so I don't know how they fit. They look extraordinarily wide, though.

I have wide feet and Keen shoes feel very comfortable for me. Over the years my feet have gotten bigger (a fallen arch) so now I need a size 9 in women's sizes. I really like the zinfandel color. It is fun without screaming red.

These shoes are very comfortable, and I wore them all day the first time I put them on. They are perfect for my somewhat wide feet and bunions, but are narrow enough in the heel that they don't slip. My only complaint is that the laces are a little skimpy so it is not as easy to tie them as I would like, and certainly no double knot would be possible. I think they are cute shoes, but they are definitely not dressy but they have good support so you could wear them all day and they are nicer than sneakers.

I am a huge fan of Keen. I have several pair and after completely wearing my favorites out I decided it was time for a new pair. I'm on my feet for 10 hours and Keen are the only shoes that work for me. These shoes are awesome! The tongue takes a little while to wear in but other than that they are perfect. True to size. Quality, durability and comfort!!

I love the support and comfort of these shoes. My feet are a little wide and I can wear them without feeling pressure on my toes. I did not have to break them in as they were immediately comfortable. I have arthritis of my ankles and these shoes allow me to be mobile for at least several hours (and probably more) without injury or pain. They were exactly what I needed to get walking again and are great on uneven and hard surfaces.

I wear size 11 or 10.5. These shoes run small, feels like 10, especially if you consider wearing cotton socks. I returned them, otherwise nice shoes.

I chose these shoes to replace a pair of Keen Presidios that I had thoroughly worn out. Like all the Keens I have owned, the fit on the Briggs Leather shoes feels true, the construction is sturdy, and the style is just right for me: a little utilitarian, but with a wink. I like these for winter days after the snow has been cleared from the walks; the traction is good and they are warm. I'm quite happy with them!

Bought these to substitute for athletic shoes for active casual dress. Perfection! Comfy, supportive and feel like I've had them for years. I already had Keen Targhee II Mid Hiking boots and loved them so I went with these. Well made as are my boots and I anticipate them lasting forever too as my boots are going into their third year and don't even look worn! Roomy toe box for my bunions and no pressure on my toes at all. I am a diabetic so this is important. Very happy with my purchase.

No agony of de"feet" here. I wear these shoes at my standing desk all day. They provide enough arch support without being painful. Size seems true. I have narrow feet, and love the tad-bit wider base on these shoes.

Not as nice as last year's model. Bulkier looking, and more aggressive. Last year's model was more subtle and refined looking.

First of all, I love Keen. Excellent shoe. And this shoe is perfect. The arch support is exactly where I need it and the right height for my foot. I could walk all day in this shoe. Not all the styles of Keen has this arch support but I wish they did, I could get every style they put out then! They are long lasting and don't break down fast so I love that.

Nice looking shoe, but when I tried them on, I remembered that some of the reviewers commented on "heel slippage" and "shallow". I found this to be true, also.

These shoes are comfortable and supportive. They have a kind of "bowling shoe" look to them that I like, and they seem to shorten my long (size 10) foot. I like the minimal stitching doodads.
I normally wear a 41, which Keen calls a 10.5. I understood that this size isn't available anymore. So this 40.5 size is a bit snug if I wear socks of any appreciable thickness. I don't mind that much--generally my Keens stretch out and are too big within six months or so, and I'm just wearing thin socks now in the summer.

I really like these Keen, but, sadly, the right shoe doesn't fit correctly in the toe box. I sized up half a size and it's just too snug. Otherwise, very comfortable. Great profile.

I would have LOVED these Briggs if they would have been true to size. They run small in the toe box. :( The original Briggs were the BEST!

I like the Keen Briggs shoes. I must say they are on the wide side. I bought a size 10 and normally wear a 9 1/2 in the sandals. I put in an insert from another pair of Keens. That made a huge difference. They are now the expected Keen comfort. I purchased them for walking daily in an urban area. They do meet my expectations
