This is my first pair of Merrells. Chose these over the Ventilator due to the lower profile. Extremely comfortable, good support, and great traction for 210 lb male. Also, look good. Some things of note: 1. The kangaroo color I bought is actually darker than the photo, which I was pleased with; the shoe seems a little wider than most, but it is still comfortable; finally, and most importantly, this is not a warm weather shoe. No ventilation whatsoever. Do not wear to a football game in the South in the high 80's or your feet will roast (trust me). Definitely a cool/cold weather shoe. May buy the Ventilator in the spring, as I understand it breathes more. I would recommend as a good winter shoe and look forward to wearing it as the weather cools down.

Coming from a letter carrier these shoes outperform most. I walk on average 10 miles a day in these shoes and let me say they have been exceptional. I have had them for over 8 months putting them at around 1600 miles walked in and they are still going strong. The outside of the shoe is made very well standing up to the abuse I put them through. The stitching is all intact and nothing is coming apart. As for the sole of the shoe, outstanding! Nothing lasts longer than vibram soles. That is 1600 miles and the soles still have good tread! Buy it and you will not be disappointed! The only negative I have found is that comes with a cheap insole that you will have to replace quickly.

Best shoes I have ever owned. I have worn them every day for around 7 months and they still feel like new. I wore them for a week of hunting and my dad was wearing expensive hunting boats. We walked through wet grass and complained that his feet were wet all day. My feet were dry as a bone. I would definitely recommend these shoes. Worth every penny.

What I want in an over all shoe is that it is WP, breaths, good support at the arch and heel, lots of comfort, and does not look too geeky. I have finicky feet and i like the shoe that I buy to be comfortable right from the start.... Not a "gotta break it in shoe". the Keen Bryce WP shoe was like that and I got a new pair 2 years in a row. But they stopped making them and no one has them in stock anymore. I went to a Keen Garage but there were no models that felt the same. I went to REI, who carries this shoe and others but I had to be rude just to get one pair to try because of all the customers. With Zappos I was able to order 6 different shoes to try on in the comfort of my home. I tried different Merrells, Keens, Hoka One One, New Balance, Asolo, Oboz. I narrowed it down to the Merrell Moab. I think the Keen Bryce is a bit more comfortable. But the Merrell Moab Rover had all of the other good qualities. I cannot comment to how shoes hold up over time as i have only been wearing them for a couple days. But its a pretty good shoe and my picky feet are happy!

An outstanding new offering by Merrell. Love this shoe. It is very robust yet light. I didn't get the waterproof version but I don't really plan to hike with it. It just looks great in khakis or jeans. The Vibram sole, as always, is outstanding with great traction and stickiness. It's a very comfortable shoe and tightens snug around your heal. It looks like it'll last a very long time, but only time will tell. I like it so much, I'm getting the tan version and the boot around wintertime. Highly recommended.

Nice shoe. Light, comfortable, nice looking. Will use it a lot. In my opinion runs a little small.

Excellent shoes. I'm wearing them to work at least two days a week. Terrific fit and comfort, but feel right even on longer walks.It almost looks like a work shoe, but is so much more comfortable than other choices. The only drawback is that if you walk in dust they'll look a little dingy until you brush them. After you do, though, they'll look new again.

Love these shoes so far fit great and are very comfortable.

I don't write many product reviews. The fact that I'm writing one about this shoe means it's either really bad or really good. Read on... I have hard-to-fit feet (short, wide, and with an unusually high arch). It's rare to find a shoe that fits right. I usually have to make a compromise on something. When I first slipped my foot into the Moab Rover, my eyes widened and I whispered, "Wow". I laced them up and took the dog for a 3 mile walk. My feet felt great! I've worn them all day at work and for long walks. I have absolutely no complaints about the fit at all. The shoes feel great. On top of that, I'm really pleased with how they look. I ordered the Espresso. The look really sharp. I have no problem wearing these to work in a casual dress environment. These have replaced my old, worn out pair of Merrell hiking shoes. Those shoes game me many years of use, so I expect no less from these. I'm so pleased with them, I actually took the time to write a review!!

So far, this feels like a substantial enough shoe for walking around on sidewalks and very light trails. I walk my dogs a lot and bought a pair of Austin Keens last year as my primary dog walking shoe. I was very disappointed when they didn't last even a year before the soles wore out. It's too early to tell if these will stand the test of time, but so far I'm liking them.

Love the folks at Zappos, First pair of a different style(GTX) did not fit right in the toe(too Much toe side clearance}. right out of the box theses feel great! Thank you for the easy exchange. only think i do not like is there is no pull tab on the heal.

I can't speak to the comfort of this item (my husband wears them) but I can tell you that they look great! He wears them to work on casual Friday, and they look professional enough for the office. Unique color too!

I typically wear a 9.5 and have wide feet. the 9.5 wide ran big on me; but, the regular size 10 fit perfectly. These shoes are comfortable and durable. The blacks are a simple black and grey without any flourishes. While I wouldn't mind if they were a bit more attractive in that color, they are exactly what I need for a daily walking & adventure shoe.

I needed to get one full size larger than usual, but it is a great shoe. Very sturdy and comfortable.

Great feeling shoe - typical of most Merrell's (and I've had many a pair) - just need a half size bigger.

I have never spent so much on a pair of shoes before, but I'm thrilled I did and they are worth every penny. I could not believe how instantly comfortable they were upon the first wearing right out of the box, like I had broken them in after weeks of wear. I'm so glad to have found exactly what I was looking for — an outdoor hiking-type shoe that looked more dressy than the typical two-tone style of other outdoor hiking shoes or boots. I have the feeling these will last for a long time, and I'm looking forward to the years ahead with them.

My feet are wide with abnormally high arches and a full-size difference between each foot. I wear orthotics for plantar fasciitis. These shoes (2E) are perfect right out of the box. They are nice looking and comfortable for firm, supportive and waterproof hiking shoes Unbelievable!

I have been wanting a pair of shoes like these for a long while. I have a hard time finding shoes that are wide enough and fit. These do the job. And with this years rain in California, I need them.

This is the second pair of these shoes that I've owned. Great arch support, great comfort and great style. Love these shoes.

I have been buying Merrell shoes for my office work environment for years. Always happy with quality....which is expected for the somewhat higher price. I get years of use, so price vs cost plays into it for quality.

These shoes are not size 14-- they are too short. They are well made and but not the correct size. I bought the same shoe in size 14W which is just fine as far as length.

I bought these for my husband who has wide foot. These were great. He is very happy with him. He put them on immediately and did not need to break them in. No complaints! Great shoe.

I've had the shoes for about a month and took them on a week long trip to New York city. The shoes were comfortable and even though I did not get the waterproof version of these they kept my feet dry while walking around on a day it rained all day. My feet do get hot while wearing these. Outside in the cold it's not too bad, but sitting inside they get almost uncomfortably warm. Granted I'm used to wearing running shoes every day of the year, it's trade-off I'm willing to accept to keep my feet warm in the cold.
