Bought these because they appeared to be built on the same frame as my favorite Irish Setter work boots, and I have not been disappointed. Wore them around the house for a couple hours, and after one hike they feel ready for anything.

These boots are the best I have found for stand hunting in cold weather after years of trial and error. I have very cold feet, but have no problem with these. I wear a thin liner sock and a fairly thick wool one. On very cold days I add a foot warmer. These boots get great traction, are durable and fairly comfortable. They are a little bulky for still hunting, but manageable. After two years of hard hunting they are still like new. I recommended them to my brother who found them to be too warm for him. He sold them to a friend of mine who also gets cold feet. He loves them too! No problem crossing creeks either. Completely waterproof.

I wear this boot to hunt and only to hunt. Do not even wear them while driving to hunt. So I am dismayed that the seams have ripped after only 3 years. The tread has not even begun to wear and the seams on the upper ripped. Buy Sorels, they last.
