I love the backpack and I received my backpack which I ordered online just in time for my little vacation trip to California. I was super excited I can use it for my trip. And I was more excited to be able visit your shop in San Francisco when I was there and I bought 2 Uptown Backpack while I was there. I'm a happy customer and I will buy more thatsgor sure.

This bag gets me through nearly every day. Whether I'm transporting my laptop or files, folders, or notebooks, I get a lot of use from the slash pocket. The front two pockets are convenient for items I need access to while on the go (wallet, phone, lights) and the two main pockets are surprisingly spacious. The webbing on the straps is great for my keys, the air mesh on the back and on the straps does make a noticeable difference when it comes to airflow on the back (trust a Texan). And the bottle opener is not only useful, but it also is a wonderful conversation starter. I wish all my bags were this useful and fun.

I love supporting my regional businesses, and came across the need for a new laptop bad, and a quality company. I think my only down fall was that i bought a laptop bag for a 15" laptop, and I have a 15.6" laptop. it does fit inside, but it's so snug, i feel like i'm going to rip the zipper apart every time i close the bag.

I love this bag. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars are as mentioned above. No key hook, and no separate soft-lined pocket for a phone. The computer pocket could also have some padding in its front where it rests against whatever one might put in the pack. I imagine you wanted to save weight, but a few ounces of padding would still keep this pack light enough. I especially like the styling. I feel I can use it in the city and not look as though I'm trying to pretend I'm in the 7th grade ;-)

This backpack is great! I bought it to use as a business backpack and it looks very professional. My only gripe is the straps. Every time I go to put the bag on the straps twist at the top and can be a little annoying to fix it. Otherwise I think it is perfect

The bag is slim and sleek. Has all the compartments you need. Laptop pouch has about a 2 inch buffer so when you set your bag down, it doesn't hit the ground. The details are very high quality. Only complaint would be the zippers can sometimes stick. I've gone through about 4 bags this year and was unhappy with all of them. This one finally has everything I've been looking for.

This is my second backpack. My first is the Command. The quality of these back pack are wonderful. I use them both for travel and they hold up very well. The Parkside's compartment are perfect. The size for the Parkside is perfect. Not to big and not to small

Really like the backpack. I am petite (5'2") and it doesn't feel too big or bulky. Has a ton of space and I like the organization and storage compartments.

I'm amazed how perfect this bag is. I use it regularly if I know I'll be heading straight to the gym after work. It fits shoes, gym clothes, towel, a lunch, and a book, with room to spare. It's also the perfect size if you're flying somewhere with just a personal item. If you pack on the lighter side, it works well for a weekend trip, and it has just the right balance of structure and (lack of) weight.

I tried the backpack out because my dog ate my beloved and pricy Authority backpack. This super sale made me take a leap and see if I could make the Parkside work.
Alas, I cannot. However, you may. If you're looking for a small, simple daypack, or even a pack for a student shlepping around a Chromebook to school, this will be perfect. I needed the pockets and dividers of a larger backpack.
Still, I cannot give this fewer stars. It's sturdy and well built.

Verified PurchaseReview for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I just started a new job that requires me traveling around NYC each day carrying a computer, folders, lunch, etc. So far this has been great and fits a ton. Lots of pockets to keep me organized!

This is a great bag. I bought the all black version for commuting to work on the subway everyday. It seems a bit thinner than I expected, but that actually makes organization easier for me. Fully loaded it is still light weight, and it is easy to get quick access to the smaller front pockets. Branding is minimal and that makes for a very sleek look. The bottle opener on the strap is convenient for hooking other stuff like keys and water bottles to the front.
Negatives: The bag is not even water resistant. I walked a few blocks in moderate rain and had to take everything out to dry out the bag and some items. It is worth getting an extra waterproof cover if you use it daily. I also thought, because of the photos on this site, that the front pocket had a dedicated key strap. It does not. I still toss my keys in there, but that organizational change would be nice.

I bought this bag for physician assistant school and could not be more happier! I am able to carry all the things I need without a hassle. Organization is pretty easy as well! I would recommend for anyone looking to buy a bag for school.

I use a laptop case with a case that provides extra bumper protection so my laptop does not fit in the backpack sleeve; not a big deal since I can just put it in the main pocket.

The right balance of everything. The size is just right to get through a day or a couple of flights. The design is sleek and efficient. There are no extraneous straps hanging all over the place to get in the way. The fabric is strong and protective.

Definitely recommend this backpack for work or school. It's got all the organization I need for a laptop, chargers, notebooks, books, pens and just about anything else you'll need for a day or two at the office, including a nice side pocket for a 1L water bottle.
I splurged and got the additional water resistant as I take the train and Denver weather can be unpredictable. It's a stylish-looking bag with a slick exterior and comfortable straps and back padding.
There's a smart-looking bottle opener on one of the shoulder straps that's pretty useless but a nifty touch.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this bag for business, school or anything else outside of outdoor and sports use.

I'm a freelancer that jumps between client sites, my home office. I'm usually carrying a laptop, a book, a notepad, a phone charge, a water bottle, small items... the list goes on. This bag is perfect as my daily work backpack. The finish and feel of the bag is great. 5 stars!
