So far, I am very happy. Fit is true to size. Lacing system is extremely convenient and the padded collar is very well done. The entire boot is obviously made of the highest quality materials available. I have less than five miles on the boot, but some of this was in very unstable terrain that would normally be ankle-burning to a lesser boot. The ankle support is outstanding. I will have to do a further review on coolness and wear of the tread, which are my only concerns. This is a high-dollar boot that, so far, seems to be worth the price.

If you're buying these based on Zappos size chart, but 1 size larger. I wanted EU size 44, and the size chart said US size 10. When I received the US size 10 I found the size chart on the website was wrong. The Lowa box said US size 10, EU size 43.5. Blah! I'm sure these are great boots, but I need to get the right size first.

15 years in NSW. Most comfortable boot I've ever tried on. It's rigid around the heel , so don't plan on making it your go fast boot, but for hiking and stability can't be beat. Better than a Salomon hiker, but for twice the price it better be. Not tall enough to blouse well, if a problem get the tall one.

Lowa was my go-to brand. My last bunch of boots ordered have had nothing but problems. This pair ended up having a pokey rivet that protruded more so than others. $310 for pokey rivets and inconsistency across the brand. This was my 4th pair of Lowa boots that were sent back where only one of them has something wrong. Lowa changed, the world may never know. Best part about Zappos is that we don't have suffer too much as consumers. Wear them for a while around the house so you don't make a huge mistake and wreck your feet
