This shoe is pretty comfy, but it doesn't come with the new footbed Timberland made which is uber disappointing. I work on concrete and my heels right now are the issue. I bogged out the sole that comes with it in about a week. But the shoes are still really comfy, the rest of my feet don't hurt at all, my legs either! We'll see what happens when the footbeds arrive. I'm sure these would be really killer in a retail position as well!

Love this shoe, very comfortable to wear at work (11 hour days as an auto technican on cement floors). Wear all year long and only issue would be after 10 - 12 months they need replacing as they start to fall apart near the back side. But for the year they are great. Boy do I miss the days of the Knapp shoe salesman who would come around twice a year with a great work shoe that was the best. NO more Knapp shoe so I have been going with this Timberland shoe and it is sufficient.

I have worn these for three months, 20 hours a week. The insides are tearing out. Would have expected better.

I really like these shoes, comfortable looks like a good work shoe. Easy to clean, no cloth. As of last week I noticed my left foot has started to get wet inside. I thought it was water seeping in from the sides. I checked out the shoe and the sole was completely cracked through. Cracked through squatting to do my job. My pair are barely 6 months old.

I use these shoes in a cabinet shop! They are very comfortable on the concrete floor. But 2 pair in a year????? They break down very easily. The heels are shredded. Should have learned from the first pair! Definitely won't buy them again after the second!

My favorite shoes ever are Timberland Hikers. Comfortable for days, BUT THESE ARE NOT
The 14 Wide are very narrow. There is a painful pressure point ball of my foot probably because of the alloy toe.
I wish shoe makers will realize that steel/alloy toes do not belong on ESD shoes.
I work in manufacturing. 95% of the areas that ESD protection is required steel toes are not ! Semiconductor parts are tiny and if your in a warehouse the parts are double or triple protected where ESD shoes are not required. Think about it. Make a good looking shoe. One with steel toe and one without and see which one sells the most ! Sadly I'll likely end up throwing these away.

I manage a commercial safety shoe program for a manufacturing company. These shoes were very popular in the last cycle we had but we started seeing material failures. The inside of the heel started wearing away after about 4 to 6 months of use. Just recently at about the 8 month mark the soles on two "walking" users totally split in half. These failures happened within the warranty of our vendor so the replacement of the shoes wasn't a big issue but it would be nice to see Timberland improve the soles on these shoes based on the feedback in the reviews.

I work in a Tire plant and were told these shoes were great. Because two guys had just purchased them. Both of them had replaced their shoes within four months of buying them. Within four months of purchasing mine the back of the shoe was wore out and the soles of both shoes have completely cracked through from side to side exactly where the steel toe ends. I understand I am on my feet from the time I clock in to the time I clock out, but only four months for shoes that over $100 is of poor performance. Used to recommend these but I can't after how fast they ware out.

From the looks of these shoes and marketing I thought it would be a good decision to buy a pair of these. Boy was I wrong! The "insoles" are so thin I have trouble even calling them insoles. There is literally no cushioning. even after replacing the insoles my feet hurt so bad after a couple hours I had to change my shoes out. My feet were literally throbbing. There is little ankle support or cushioning. They look really nice and offer toe protection but that's it. Unwearable....donated to Goodwill

after one year the souls had big holes in them. Never again I will buy these shoes. But they are comfortable they just don't last for the price you pay for them.

I have had the same issues as all the rest of the complaints. I have been in construction for 26 years and this is the first timberlands I have bought. Not long after using the sole split and fell apart. Very poor Quailty for a high price work shoe. Would not recommend these to anyone that walks around. If you are going to sit behind a desk then they will be fine. Will never buy another pair.

I was looking for sneakers with composite toe protection and these came in my favorite color Orange. My work pays $75 annually for steel toe footwear so I decided on these. I never owned Timberlands prior to this shoe but I had the long impression they made dependable and long lasting footwear.
I drive a semi truck (I double clutch) for work and normal work day is driving and walking on normal surfaces no jagged grates. I don't kick objects since these are sneakers unlike my leather steel toe boots that only have scuff marks.
The inner sole like all footwear gets worn out and you can replace them. The bottom sole of these sneakers must be made from memory foam because that's what the durability seems like. My left shoe had split at first within a few months from the clutch work. The. Because it had split the sole started to rip apart like you're ripping pieces of cotton candy.
The sole has worn out so much it has reached the material between the inner sole and outer sole.
I have a pair of new balance shoes that is at least 8-10yrs old and the sole is a harder material. It's still solids but has lost any traction from the wearing down.
For a $100+ I'd expect better material. What is good about it being comfortable for a few months then it starts feeling uncomfortable. I haven't even reached a full year and now I'm googling ideas of repairing these with shoe goo until my company can pay for another pair of composite shoes.

I have want some Timberland work boots for ages, and am so disappointed in the quality of these shoes. They were really comfortable for about 3 weeks until the inside heels wore out. Now they are killing my heels and I have to buy a new pair of shoes/boots. I will never but anything from Timberland again.

So these shoes feel really good. I had the previous model that I travelled all over North America in as well as working on a production floor. After the fabric started wearing out behind the steel toe cap, which is expected after a year, I purchased these.
All felt good for 6 months until the soul split in two like the previous review.
I would say there is a manufacturing issue that Timberland needs to address. While they are comfortable, the quality isn't there.
Timberland is working with me to get a replacement pair for free so there is that.

like i said these shoes were great for the first 3 months and its was downhill from there.they were worn 5 days a week and used for driving ,loading and pushing a hand truck, nothing that i would consider excessive use or abnormal work conditions

First the few pros. Being on my feet all day, these shoes are great and comfortable. I do alot of walking and each step is great. On another plus...they look like tennis shoes and style like ordinary people is a harsh work environment.
Now for the cons. I work on the ramp at an international airport and see a variety of weather and surface conditions. I walk alot, on metal equipment and squating and pivoting. I have used Timberland Pro for years and this shoe is by far the worse I've seen. First, the first month was horrible. Right shoe destroyed my heal and several pairs of socks. The heal assembly had something wrong with the stitching and eventually tore now my heal sits on back side of outer material. Now since I squat alot to pick up and hook up things my right sole has split all the way up to the insole. Now if it's damp outside my socks get soaked.
Folks I'm sure this shoe will be great for you casual workers out there but as a pro in a Pro brand, don't buy. Not worth the pain and discomfort.

Overall the comfort and weight are great features but those do not out weigh the fact the shoes wear out very quickly. I purchased a new set in Jan 2016 and the heals were falling apart by middle of march 2016.

These shoes are not meant for the working person ; or meant for usage.
They were very comfortable for about 2 monthes, then slowly but surely they are worthless. The soles are actually Deteriorating !! Wish I could get my money back!!! I would even accept half payment just so I could buy a different pair of shoes.
At first I would recommend but now I would recommend going with a different brand. You think timberland would make a good shoe since they are a top brand. But I guess since its 2016 nothing is what you pay for.
HOPEFULLY TIMBERLAND CAN CORRECT THIS ; or they will loose a costumer and future ones.
my feet hurt everyday since I hit the 2-month mark of owning these.
