Wore these boots for the first time for 6 hours. They were comfortable and just the right height for my 5'!

Comfortable, well-made boot. Note that this boot has a short shaft, making it perfect for people with short legs. I'm 5' 1" and other boots come too high up my calf, causing gapping at the top or cutting me in the back of the knee. The top of this boot hits at the widest part of my calf, as it should, and fits perfectly.

The most comfortable boot ever but it is only 3/4 high on my leg. I missed this somewhere in the description of this lovely boot. I am returning.

I love these boots! I usually size down 1/2 size in Born boots which I did in these. They look amazing on! I'm 5'4" with short legs and they hit at the perfect spot. I do have narrow feet with a high instep. Very happy with these.

I love these boots! But buyer beware, they are much shorter than the typical boot. Personally, I like that feature because I am petite and most boots come up too high on my leg and gape at the top. Be sure you look at the shaft height and measure if you are worried about how high they come up. I also have very muscular calves and usually have a hard time finding boots that accommodate my calves without gaping at the top, and these zip with leggings and skinny jeans just fine. Quality is great, too!

Cute and comfortable boot! These boots are calf height, which is perfect for me - I'm 5'4". They run true to size in length, but seem to be a little narrower than my shorter Born boots. I just can't wear my heavier socks with these boots is all.

Best boot for petite height ever! I am 5'1" and these boots hit below the knee like real boots hit "normal height" folks. I am so very happy with this purchase!

Could look a little bit like cowboy boots, in the toe area...but overall beautiful! A bit shiny material, and quite a dark finish. Key thing is being wide enough in the calf area so that I can tuck in jeans! So many boots are way tight on my calves (and I have normal sized legs, not too skinny not too muscular). Very little arch support though, and heels not padded as much as I would like.

This boot is shorter than the average boot. The leather felt very thin and it was crinkly. I own the Born Umbra in black and the leather is much nicer. Toe was quite pointy. Looked more like a plain cowboy boot.

I agree with a prior review that the inside zipper buckled inward. It actually was painful so I'm exchanging them for a new pair to see if this is just a bad shoe. Otherwise, the height is perfect for a petite person (5'2") it hits right at the top of my calf, not my knee bone like others do.

Very comfortable. only one minor blister on first time wearing which was after a full 4 mile walk throughout the city. Nothing since. Super comfortable. I'm short and have muscular calves. These boots fit really well. They are quite durable as well.

After reading reviews on how wonderful Born boots were I have to say I was disappointed with the quality of the leather. The leather felt kind of flimsy and did not seem on par based on the cost of the boot itself. I guess my search for a legitimate black leather boot continues... I was also surprised when I ordered a riding boot that only came to mid-calf. I guess that is my mistake for not filtering on "knee high" during my search but in my mind that went without saying; clearly I was wrong. Figured I would put that in the review just in case someone else had the same assumption. Overall they fit fine, they were very comfortable, just not what I was looking for and did not seem worth the price in my mind.

These didn't work out for me, unfortunately. While Born lived up to their name and the shoes were relatively comfortable straight out of the box, the boot overall had a slouchy appearance on me. I think this is mainly due to the inside zip buckling/crinkling. The effect was just odd, plus I wasn't thrilled with the height (could have been a few inches closer to the knee), so I'm returning them.
