My husband has been wearing Sorel Pacs for years. We get some snow, but we get a lot of rain. He pretty much lives in these from late Fall to early Spring. He can get 3 years use out of a pair before he just wears them out. He covers rough, uneven, rocky ground on a daily basis. They are comfortable, warm and dry. When they start to go he must have a new pair. I have a pair I save for when there is snow and have had them for 20 years. They are still in great condition, no cracks in the rubber and the soles still provide excellent traction.

These are great.. lightweight, warm, durable, waterproof. My husband uses them for plowing and shoveling and likes them a lot.

The fit was just about perfect. If you're not wearing very thick socks, they may be a little loose, but if you're selecting these boots, odds are it's cold enough to warrant some thicker socks. They're extremely comfortable and very warm. This is my second pair of Sorel boots, with my first pair being arctic-rated for an upcoming trip above the arctic circle. I loved those so much I thought it would be good to get a pair that's more suited to the average winter temps and snowfall around me. The traction is fantastic. My only complaint is that I was stupid and drove to work in them and I could not feel the pedals. I drive a manual vehicle, and in snowy conditions, it was very difficult because my foot movement was limited and the soles were so thick I simply couldn't feel the vehicle's pedals. However, this was a dumb decision on MY end, and is no way a fault of the product. Overall, I'm extremely pleased.

I wore my new Sorels during a snowstorm that had ice underneath. They kept me warm and provided good traction even on a steep driveway. I am a female who normally wears a Size 12. They didn't make the women's version big enough so I bought a similar style in mens size 11 and they fit fine even with a thick sock.

I struggled to get these on my feet, they were a bit heavy, and I worried my feet would hurt in them from walking too much. I have hand strength issues and body sensitivity due to EDS, and I would not recommend these to anyone with fibromyalgia or chronic full body pain.

Good quality. Lighter weight than the Caribou with good insulation. The foot is styled a little more like a rain boot, it less aggressive tread, and not much of a heel to speak of, in comparison to the Caribou. I would choose this over the Caribou, if I wanted to be lighter on my feet. The 1964 Pac boot fit a bit tighter over the top of my wide foot than the Caribou did.

The sizing was not right. I am a size 8 (have been for more than 40 years) I ordered a size 8.5 to make room for thick socks and ease of getting the boots on and off.
It wasn't even close. I could barely get the 8.5 size on with normal socks.
Has to return and have not reordered because I am wondering what size I need.

Comfortable, warm, and great for Tennessee winters as cold and snowy as they've been lately. I will also be taking them to Minnesota with me next winter.

Bought these for my husband as our snow storms continued - he loved them! Super comfortable and warm - we went for long walks with our dogs, shoveled snow and these became his main pair of shoes for a week. Our snow is gone and he misses his boots so much that he ordered some Sorel slippers (also highly recommended).

I had to return these and get the short version. Which, I LOVE. These were too tall for me and way too big. But because return, I was able to get the right boot right away.

The best winter boots I've ever owned...warm yet not so heavy I feel like I'm walking in cement blocks
And all delivered in one day for FREE by the great employees at ZAPPOS, who even extended a generous one-time birthday incentive so I could afford my Sorels...
Shopping as it out to be!

Good warm boots. Seem to be well made, but my husband has a wide foot and said it was slightly tight mid foot. He decided on another pair of Sorels he was trying, so these will go back. But they look good and warm and I would get a pair myself!

Wore them for the first time for several hours in the snow, and they were great—kept my feet warm and dry. Plus, they’re lightweight enough that they didn’t weigh me down too much. They didn’t require any breaking in period. Felt comfortable right off the bat.

I bought these for my husband since he didn't have any snow boots and we are going on a snowmobiling trip next week. I decided on Sorel because it's such a well known brand, I've heard great things about them, and I have 2 pairs of their boots myself.
The shipping was super fast and the boots are very stylish. My husband normally wears an 11 1/2 but we bought a size 12 so he had some extra room when he wore thicker socks. He said the boots are very warm but fit a little tight in the width. Overall they fit pretty good and he said that he would recommend them.

I am Enjoying these shoes so far! I purchased the mens version bc the womens wasn’t available. It’s working out fine for my liking. I’ll say they kept my feet warmer than I expected but haven’t been in temps less than 30 degrees F. Thanks for a lovely boot Sorel

This is a winter boot that has a great classic look, but is a little low on functionality and warmth, when compared to serious winter gear.
It's basically a rubber duck boot with a nylon upper sewn into it, and a waterproof barrier on the back side of the nylon. Then a (removable) felt liner is stuffed in to give it insulation for warmth. This is old school simplicity, and it works reasonably well. The boots are also fairly comfortable, and look very cool. Though, if you're looking for a serious boot that really performs, this might come up a bit shy.
The insulation is adequate, but not super warm. I'd consider it equal in warmth to 400G insulated boots from other manufacturers. Though, over time the felt liner compresses. The fit gets more sloppy, and the warmth goes south a little as well. The liners are replaceable, but the price isn't insignificant. The nylon is good to keep the weight down, but doesn't provide the ankle support of leather, which is stiffer. It looks cool though, and makes the upper pliable. They're easy to put on and take off.
The sole is considerably thinner than I expected it to be. It makes for a comfortable boot with a lot of give to it. But you do loose heat through the bottoms of your feet when walking on cold surfaces. I haven't had them long, so I can't comment on longevity. The construction is ok, though a little less robust than I thought they would be.
These are good for shoveling snow in the driveway, or going out to the bar in bad weather. But for serious conditions (working outside, or walking far away from home), i'd look elsewhere. Either step up to a more robust Sorel, or a boot with new tech. Modern insulation and waterproof membranes have allowed manufacturers to make boots that are warmer than this with considerably less bulk, and without the sloppy fit.
Different boots for different purposes. I'd consider this a fashion boot that's pretty high on utility. But it doesn't quite have the construction or design for me to trust them for serious winter conditions. The flip side, this is a great looking boot that has enough utility for small outdoor tasks, but won't completely overheat your feet indoors. I think that's more of the aim of the design, and for that, it does pretty well.
