I read a lot of the reviews before buying these boots, I have a wide foot so the fit is very important. Too narrow can be very painful right across the front ball of my foot. I ordered my normal size 7.5 and when I tried them on my toes went right to the end of the boot. I was disappointed, tried again and second time I tightened the laces quite a bit. It turns out the cushioning is so ample that my heel wasn't all the way back. the second time they fit nicely. I just walked a 1.2 miles with the dog, and they were very comfortable. No breaking in needed. In addition - I ordered these on a Thursday night at 7:10 PM and they arrived on my front porch at 3:00 PM THE NEXT DAY!!

Seriously solid hiking boot - good support. True to size - but if you want to wear heavy sox you might want to try 1/2 size up as well. More support than Merrill Moab. But the Merrill is lighter and not as heavy duty.

I have had Hi-Tec boots for years and loved them. Unfortunately, this boot style's toebox just didn't work. The length was true to size, but it was too wide at the toebox and it was too high. My feet were swimming in the shoe. I had to return them.

Most usually I need to wear boots a few times or more to break them in so they don't hurt my feet this pair I did not have to which was great.

These are such fun looking boots they are lightweight - perfect for hiking. However, I think I needed a 1/2 size larger.

I bought my usual size, but when they arrived and I put them on, realized my toes were hitting the end. I returned those and got a size larger than normal. Since I plan to use them for hiking, I wanted to be sure I had plenty of room for heavy hiking socks. Nice color, sturdy feel. I have not yet worn them for any kind of hiking, but expect them to be just what I needed.

I love the way they look. A little big on me, but I will wear with a heavier sock for hiking.

These run just a bit too small. Otherwise, they would be great!

I need space for toes as I have wide feet and usually wear an extra wide shoe. I ordered my usual size and did not size up and one review said it had a wide foot bed so I tried to not worry about the B medium wide not my usual extra extra wide size. It does have a nice wide foot bed and the size is just the way it should be. I would have liked a longer string to sinch in the shoe, will look for that separate and replace it, very pretty shoe lace just a little short. Have not hiked yet but walked around the house and yard for two days, I am sure my mountain vacation will be great with these warm and sturdy hiker shoes.

These were pretty comfortable without any break in. I usually wear a size 8. I ordered these in an 8.5 first, but my toes were too close to the front. I reordered in a 9. They were slightly big, but thick socks will take care of that. I wore them in light snow and rain. They had good traction and no moisture entered the boots.

The hooks at the top for your laces broke off within two times of wearing these boots. I took them to a shoe repair shop and had all four hooks replaced for something more substantial. Other than that, I enjoy these boots. The color is nice and the shape makes my feet look small.

Too short. I normally wear an 8 and my big toe hit the end of this boot. Can’t really comment on comfort because the boots were too small to even take the effort to lace them up.

These are comfortable boots. My only issue is that two of the top hooks have broken off. The boot doesnt fit well if you can't tie it up to the top.

Loved the look and feel of these boots, however, they run small. I normally wear 6 to 6-1/2, but other reviews mentioned they ran small, so ordered the 6-1/2. Even those are a good 1/2 size too small.

Right out of the box, one of the lacing hooks was broken off. Read this was a problem in other reviews, I can confirm. Otherwise, comfort and fit were fine, although they seem a little wide in the heel. Shame I didn't get a chance to wear them. Generally, I used to like hitec boots because of the quality for the price point, but I'm going to another brand.

At least 1 size too small, with regular socks. What a joke. And I am an 11 so they don't make them in 12. Had to send back and can't even just get the shoe in a bigger size.

These are at least 2 sizes too small. I will not order this brand in the future, just too much of a hassle having to keep going to a UPS store to return them.

I bought wide, I think I didn’t need to, However, with heavy socks and hot weather hiking…I live in the desert southwest, these worked out fine. I just tie the shoelaces tighter. I probably should have returned them… but I have hundreds of miles on them, and they are just beautiful …still.

I love the boots. They fit great! I love the style, material, and color.

Outstanding hiking boots. Went out on a 4 mile hike in the snow and didn’t have an issue, my feet stayed warm, dry and had good traction.

I ordered a half size up because sometimes in sneakers I do that, but I could have stuck with my original size 7 as I had a little room. I wouldn’t say these are made for major hiking excursions but we did a few state park hiking trails that were not paved in the mountains and they were great. They are not 100% waterproof as I walked through some little creeks and I felt a few drops of water seep through but my socks were not even wet. Comfortable and no blisters!

These are the most comfortable, water resistant warm, dry hiking boots I have ever worn. I am exactly 7..5 in ladies shoe size. It is really nice that these come in half sizes. They are very true to size. The width is also true to size. I have a perfect amount of room without my back heel rubbing. I like the hooks on the ankle part of the boot because it helps keep the laces tucked in properly. That helps me to get a custom for for my feet. I am able to adjust the laces for thinner or thicker socks and I am still comfortable (without my feet sliding in the shoe) The boot also has excellent traction. I have walked through snow, ice and rain, and I have not slipped at all. It's so nice to walk in winter weather and be sure footed and confident. This gives me a lot of freedom for walking in the winter. The soft fabric goes all the way through the boot to the toe. That's so important for longer walks. Overall I don't have any complaints of this boot. This is the only boot I have been wearing for the winter. I will be getting the same brand for spring hikes. I am very impressed with this boot. Best hiking boots I have ever owned. I definitely recommend this.

Attractive hiking shoes. I buy most shoes in an 8.5, but athletic shoes in a 9; however, these felt a bit short. Returned.

This is a great looking hiking boot. It was too narrow for my foot. It felt like my outer 3 toes were being crushed. Otherwise, I loved the color and how it laced up at the ankle. I had to return due to small fit. Will try and find a wider width boot.
