I've been wearing hi-tec boots daily for 3 or 4 years. I have an active job and spend a lot of time on my feet. This brand has proved both durable and comfortable in all kinds of weather conditions. Having said that, I am extremely disappointed in this latest pair. They felt pretty normal the first day I had them. However, after about a week of daily use, they became so uncomfortable that I thought the soles were defective. Zappos promptly replaced them. (Their customer service is truly outstanding.) Unfortunately, the new pair are just as bad as the old ones. I've come to the conclusion that the sole is just not sturdy enough to accommodate the aggressive tread on these boots. Once the sole starts to break in and become pliable, you can feel the tread right through it. On soft surfaces (turf, loose soil, etc), they'd probably be okay. On any kind of firm surface, (packed dirt, concrete, gravel) these are hands down the most uncomfortable boots I've ever worn.

My husband and son needed hiking boots for a Scouts outing. As my son is still growing, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. These boots were reasonable, came in widths and my son said they were very comfortable.

This shoe is advertised as a 10.5 Wide but the label on the shoe indicates it is a 10.5 and a "Men's Width - M" or medium. So if you have wide feet, don't buy this one. Other than being too narrow, it was a good quality shoe with a comfortable fit; just too tight for wide feet.

My boyfriend said these shoes were warm and waterproof his feet did not get cold and he was out shoveling snow for about 30 minutes. If you get rock salt on these shoes just wipe them off with a mild soap a small brush and warm water, he said they were not heavy to walk in like some snow boots. He loves them!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had these boots for three years. Although I only wear them maybe 10 days a year, they are great. I wear them in the rain and snow. Stays dry and warm. Only problem I have is that they seem to come untied if not double knotted.

Very comfortable boot I use to walk to train every day. Had to go half size up for fitting purposes.

Great boot for the price point. I've purchased several Hi-Tech boots over the years and this one is not quite as well made as the last I purchased but it was over $100 so I'm not complaining. I use them for waterproof work boots around water all day and they have always served me well.

Second pair of Hi-Tec's that I have had. haven't changed much, good fit and good comfort.

Shoe is comfortable material is soft and flexible. Arch is good

Great for Cub scout bikes, and camping outings

After reading customer reviews, I ordered a size up to 12 from my usual 11.5. Since the fit is very good, I would recommend as the others did to go a half size larger for this model. Very comfortable and durable so far.

Very comfortable boots fit great and feel good all day at work

Bought these for my 13-year-old, who isn't into wearing chunky winter boots anymore, but still goes out for recess and walks home from school throughout the winter. These boots are a good compromise, as they make me happy by protecting from cold and snow, but are acceptable to him appearance-wise.

I have bought 13w for boots for years and these are just too small. I tried a 13R and ordered 13w and 14r and none fit that great. Both are going back, they just ache after an hour sitting in the chair. I was trying on with lightweight Timberland outdoor sock.

Runs smaller than previous version of Hi-Tec boots that I owned. These are 10.5 and they are a little snug...probably needed an 11 in this style.

Toes sometimes slightly cramped like most new shoes. Came first day. Thanks!

This is my second pair liked them well enough to get another pair. I have bad ankles and Calluses where my arch should be. The. Shoes offer excellent support and comfort. I wear them for everyday use as well as for hiking.

Feel confident and comfortable

I bought these for my son for Christmas. He loves them! We hiked in the snow and they kept his feet dry and warm. Stylish and comfortable with moderate arch support. Definitely a good buy!

Purchased for my son who is in Scouts BSA and at least once/month (sometimes more often) needs waterproof boots that are good for hiking. We have bought these exact same boots since he was in Cub Scouts, just going up a size or two each time as he grows. Price point is good for this decent quality boot. I hate spending more when I know he won't get more than a season out of them. I like them so much that last time I just bought two pairs, one in his current size and the another in the next size up. Every pair he's outgrown has been handed down to smaller Scout--I think some pairs are on their third owner by now, so they are durable enough to last a few years for kiddos that use them throughout at least one winter per person. That's my highest recommendation, lol.

Good quality hiking boots. Not too heavy, and good tread.

My son says these boots are extremely comfortable . He typically wears a 7 or 7.5 and has VERY wide feet and the Wide 8s fit perfectly.

I will be hiking in the Sandia Mountains in 2 weeks. As I'm walking around with the dogs, they boots feel good. They should be broke in to my flat feet by then!
