I do not review shoes ever but thought I would in this case. I saw an ad for a clothing line I liked and they put together a cool shirt, sweater, jeans, and a Chelsea style boot. It looked good and I decided I needed to treat myself to this style of boot. I went to Zappos and sorted by brown Chelsea boot and my size (13-14) and a myriad of boots came up with varying prices. I wanted a boot that could be dressed up and something and something that slipped on in the winter. As a midwesterner I wanted a sole that could afford to get wet with a touch of snow. This boot has a great looking and comfortable leather upper with a rubber sole, not one of those leather soles that you cringe when it gets wet or gets a hole in the middle from wear. So I like this boot for several reasons: it was on the lower price side; it has a rubber sole; it was comfortable from day one; looks awesome. Great boot. I will reorder in years when this wears out. Boot looks great dressed up but is also perfect for a tailgate in cold weather. I will say I went on the higher end in size, some I wear a 13 and some a 14. As some reviews mention this style of boot might stretch. I think it all depends on what socks you plan to wear. I normally wear a thinner dress sock and I feel like the 14 is a tad too big. But going to a tailgate I wore a thick ski sock and it fit great. I am keeping the 14, no complaints here. Go with this boot, do not spend the extra money on a name brand with a leather sole, this boot is perfect and the best of the bunch. Great purchase.
